Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins let loose on her Democratic colleagues Monday, criticizing Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer directly over the failed coronavirus deal. Collins took the floor to express her disappointment over Senate Democrats blocking the bill — which they claim includes too many “corporate” protections rather than protections for workers — as well as her anger at Schumer for attempting to prevent her from speaking. IMO, the President should call their bluff. If they don't produce an acceptable bill in one week, he will lift all restrictions and quarantine. What can happen? H1N1 had 18000 deaths. I don't think Covid-19 will even come close.

Just like she did with Kavanaugh, she finally hit her threshold. Only problem is, once this bill is passed or not, she'll buddy back up to them. RINOs can't be trusted.
MAGA!!! KAG!!! TRUMP 2020 AND BEYOND!!! Ms. Collins, you did a good thing. Now, remember these people are who you seem to call friends--with them, you've really got enemies!

"Is this what we've come to?"
Yep. Anything to take down Trump. Seriously, how far does the Trump hatred go? Its global. China very likely was OK with the pandemic if it tanked the American economy. All they had to do with regard to the corona virus was NOTHING. The Chinese economy had already taken a hit, and its not a stretch that they blame Trump and the United States. We've also seen assorted Democrats talking about the need to have the US economy tank if they were to defeat Trump. Well, they got it.
The disregard for life shown by the Democrats and their leftist allies is ominous. To them, we exist solely to serve them. This is what we are dealing with folks. This is what we have come to.

Oh I bet Schumer is shaking in his shoes that this RINO made an unmemorable speech. I'm not impressed regardless of her words. She has been Schumer's little RINO puppet for too long. I bet she cleared her speech with Schumer who probably edited the speech as well. Sorry, but the sorry individuals that we have elected are showing just how incompetent and uncaring about Americans in this, their foulest hour!

Without corporate protection there would be no workers. The corporations would not be in a position to hire workers.

Why haven't the Senators spent one second exploring how to mitigate these damages? Why do we need another omnibus spending bill, instead of a bill for immediate needs? What happened to progress payments? The only immediate emergency I have seen is hospitals in some urban areas needing supplies and staff, so why do we have to have a pants on fire spending bill for $2T? We have unemployment insurance programs in all the states that have funds for 26 weeks, why can't the unemployed be paid with those for the next 26 weeks? I looked at the airline's balance sheets, and many of them have space to add debt to fund themselves, without immediate government cash. After that we can provide some interest free loans to help, but taxpayers are not in the insurance business. Taxpayers have no insurance premiums, no loss mitigation clauses, no caps on exposures.

Well, well, Sen. Collins must have read my letter I sent to her about two weeks ago when I criticized her remarks relating to Pres. Trump. She complained that he was in front of the microphone too often in regards to the virus press briefings with the VP and pertinent medical professionals. I’ve been so discouraged with her attitude. Is she a Republican or a Democrat and I don’t want to vote for her. But I won’t vote for a democrat ever. She’s a big disappointment.

Who is that woman ? Kennedy's interview after her speech was excellent.
Call these people and tell them to pony up or resign. Better yet, lay them off. Tell them to give up their salaries and get the same feeling millions of Americans are feeling today.Like those who can't pay their rent, car payment or mortgage.
