Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said on “Fox & Friends” on Monday that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., “believe they can blackmail the president into accepting really dumb ideas.”(Snip)“In 1990, the Democrats blackmailed President George H.W. Bush into breaking his word on taxes where they said they wouldn't agree to a budget agreement,” he explained. “In 2007 and 2008 when Pelosi was first speaker she basically passed terrible legislation, which president George W. Bush felt he had to sign, things which crippled the economy.”

Pelosi, Schumer and their clones are truly evil people. Don’t they know that political power and wealth will not help them be happier, healthier or live any longer. Destruction of President Trump at the expense of the country seems their only goal. Damn Them.

This will boomerang on the democrats, just like the other stupid things they try to do. They never learn. They just don't get it. We don't need $10 billion for abortions right now. That money can be better spent!

I am absolutely livid there are not enough words to describe my absolute disgust with the Democrat leaders after hearing Schumer speaking. Personally if Pelosi and Schumer get Covid19 and die the country will be better off. I hope they are exposed to the virus after delaying this vitally needed legislation. Let them suffer personal consequences. Seniors are losing lifetime savings and investments, thousands every day while Democrat politicians try to pile in the pork and delay action. Damn them.

I do not disagree with earlier posters but what about the other democrats? Are there no patriots that call themselves democrats? Are they all mindless trolls? It is not just pelosi and schumer, the whole party is a stinking heap. It's ALL about politics and the nation be damned.

First, Mitch, I hope you stop referring them to "our friends across the aisle", as they are not your friend, they are the opposition looking to use anything they learn from "the saps across their aisle" against you in all negotiations.
Second, they need to ask "where was Nancy Pelosi and her House over the last week"?
Why was Bernie meeting with AOC and Presselly instead of voting? It was part of their overall strategy to resist, and take down this President by destroying the economy for everyone else.

Perhaps they dither because they know how overblown this is and they are attempting to force their social/economic wet dreams on a panicked nation. It does not have to be the bill that solves all our collective problems all at once - and they dam sure are picking the wrong time to be holding a gun to America's head right now. THIS is a time to be focused and purposful to the immediate crisis at hand. As fast as things are moving they can take small steps to address our nation's needs as they arise. They all just might have to get along and do their jobs for OUR SAKE.

#10.......... Mssr. Zappa was a musical genius, poet, philosopher who may have penned a few 'bad songs' but most of them were sold to Barry Manillow or David Cassidy.

This is too much money, 2T. More damage to the economy than AOC's 1T green new deal. As much damage as Bernies giveaways. The damages should be mitigated by re-opening the economy, and then paying claims that are more reasonable. This legislation should not be rushed. We should not be herded, stampeded, and rushed into emergency legislation. If there is an emergency, pass a small progress payment, not a $4 trillion dollar slush fund.
