Gov. Tom Wolf has ordered all non-life-sustaining businesses in Pennsylvania to close their physical locations to slow the spread of the coronavirus. The deadline to shut down is 8 p.m. Thursday.
Wolf said enforcement actions against businesses that do not comply with the order will begin at 12:01 a.m. Saturday.
[snip] “…we need to take more aggressive mitigation actions,” Wolf said in a statement. “This virus is an invisible danger that could be present everywhere. We need to act with the strength we use against any other severe threat. And, we need to act now before the illness spreads more widely.”

All the petty little tyrants are jumping on the destroy America (Trump) bandwagon. Who is going to enforce this law? There will be bloodshed before all this is over.

Time for Trump to call a halt to all of this nonsense, give states one week to return to ALL business as usual. And he needs to counter every virus report with the the actual influenza numbers, side by side. That would put all this virus crap in perspective and call the media’s hand on their irresponsible reporting.

This is locking the barn door after the horse escaped. The Chinese allowed their people some 125,000 of them, to leave China and travel all over the world after they discovered the Wuhan virus had begun infecting people. They hid that from the world, then lied about it to WHO, who believed them.
The Coronavirus has been in the United States since November or December and was just thought to be a more vicious variety of the flu. Wolf is an expletive deleted abbreviated as F-A!! He's simply following Democrat Orders to do everything he can to crash the economy, because their polls have, to this point, said a good economy means Trump wins in November.
Clueless morons!! That doesn't mean a bad economy will help the party of Eco-Chaos to WIN in November!!! But hey!! What ever it takes, they'll take the chance regardless of how it affects the rest of us!!!

It's like a contest among the Governors to see who can impose the most draconian restrictions on people and businesses (in violation of the US Constitution) -- all in the name of protecting us from a virus that has, to date, claimed fewer than 1/100 the number of American lives as this year's seasonal flu.

The governor's own business - building materials manufacturing ( along with his wholesalers and retailers) remains open. Make of that what you will. Tyrant, yes. Idiot, not so much.

Corona virus cases worldwide 241,555 Deaths: 9,982 Recovered: 86,689
Can someone help me out here? Est. 7.8 Billion people in the world, 241,555 corona virus cases, 9,982 deaths. USA 4,600 cases 87 deaths. Compared that to the flu: This flu season alone has sickened at least 19 million across the U.S. and led to 10,000 deaths and 180,000 hospitalizations. 5 million cases worldwide, 650,000 deaths annually.
So how is it that this virus has caused a worldwide economic collapse? I don't believe the oil war between Russia and Saudi Arabia is the cause either. Who besides the media is responsible for the irrational panic?

I am searching the constitution an federalist papers to find out how this works and there is NO exception for PANDEMICS or other diseases. My doors are open to all willing customers. Come on in.

Elections have consequences. You voted for this moron, Pennsylvania, I hope you still have an economy remaining once Wolf is finished with his attempt to destroy it.

Life-sustaining? All businesses are life-sustaining. People have businesses to make money for food and shelter and clothing.
Everyone's getting into the act....

We own parts of two gun shops in PA. If you stay open, and get caught, you will not receive any assistance from the government in programs they will enact to help after this debacle. My husband owns a business in Ohio - his real job - he said his employees are allowed to stay home for up to 12 weeks at 2/3rds pay to take care of school age children. Guess who gets to pay that benefit? Yes, the employers.

Wow. Just went through all the pages listing which businesses can stay open and which are closed. Talk about picking winners and losers! He really hates the logging industry --- won't allow logging or paper mills, but considers paper sellers a necessity! Makes no sense.
And what draconian measures to enforce his dictatorship!
Please, SOMEBODY has to take these governors to court and demand a stay to these ridiculous orders!
Here in Florida, the governor just closed ALL the beaches because *GASP* college students were partying on the beaches. Well, gee, now they'll just party in backyards or in parking lots or in playgrounds or school grounds. With all the schools closed, of course kids are going to be congregating in groups! There are no day care centers or places for them to go, so they are going to make their own activities, which will be group activities. So, are the governors going to start mass arrests of spring-breakers?

#13, Philly and Pittsburgh - Erie too voted for this fool. #18 my husband called his attorney to see what could be done. He said he could sue, but would lose. DeWine in Ohio is supposed to be a Republican but all he is is a joke. My husband said his attorney has friends that are doctors, and the doctors have told him they are scared of this virus taking hold because of not enough rooms, equipment and medical supplies. I certainly pray there is a way out of this madness soon. Too many people's lives are at stake all the way around.

MOST business is part of the life-sustaining fabric of our economy. Partly because most business provides income for most people. Shut down the business -> shut down the income -> shut down the economy.
What the Global Socialists are doing with their anti-capitalist shutdown is a perfect example of "throwing out the baby with the bathwater".

His order, 3 days ago, he said later was only a "suggestion." This one looks like the real thing. Enforcement begins at midnight.
