They should be working on price gouging and alleviating credit card debt. It’s not the day to day that will get people, it’s depleting substantial savings to live each month over an extended time. They also need to remove penalties for early 401k withdrawals up to $100K during this incident.

Don't worry L-Dotters, probably no one on this site qualifies for the money. We're only qualified to supply it. People who've lose a lot in the market, retirees and working people can forget about it, because the less fortunate basement dwellers and beer swigging porch denizens are the ones suffering. If you haven't filed income tax or don't have a valid W-2, you're not working and therefore, you're not losing any wages, and shouldn't be eligible for any payments.

This is pandering. This is free stuff. Pouring money down a hole is what Dems do. The people who really need a check have never voted Republican, if they have voted at all, let alone Trump. The money will be spent on drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, cell phones. I am adamantly opposed to this goobermint giveaway. What I want goobermint to do is get off my back and get out of the way. If I get a check, I will use it to pay my income taxes and my tax preparer---- unless someone can give me a more cynical use of it.

In 2018, United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz and President Scott Kirby earned more than $10 million and $5.5 million, respectively. Gary Kelly, CEO of Southwest Airlines, had a total compensation of over $7.6 million. Doug Parker, CEO of American Airlines, in January 2018 exercised $19.2 million in stock appreciation rights, which in addition to his salary was expected to bring his take to $31 million that year. Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian made $13.2 million in 2017. Delta CEO Richard Anderson made nearly $17.6 million in 2014. Obscene salaries, but why not? There's no business need to plan for contingencies because our federal government gladly bails them out as they're Too Big to Fail™.

I'm sorry but I really want the details of this program. Not for nothing but my entire family voted for President Trump. I was forced to sell our home after the last tax relief program from this Administration where they reduced property tax deductions over $10,000 dollars. If all these bailouts are going to anybody but hard working Americans, count me out. I can accept a lot of things, but I'm tired of being played a fool by anybody! And that includes President Trump. It is long past time for this President to realize that his policies, as much as I support them in principle, are hurting those of us who are actually working and living and dying to support all these government interests who are only interested in destroying him.

And I don't blame President Trump for doing this at all. It is one of the oldest of human lessons, straight from “Aesop’s Fables.” A shepherd boy watching a flock of sheep amuses himself by yelling “Wolf!” — knowing correctly nearby villagers will quickly run to help him. Sure enough the villagers come running — only to find there is no wolf in sight. Shaking their heads, the villagers go back to their chores, and then the shepherd boy does it again. The villagers race back again and again — no wolf. They have been tricked a second time. Not long after they have left the laughing shepherd boy a second time, in fact a real wolf does in fact appear

Within the next couple of weeks, the American people will have a clearer sense of how great a challenge our nation faces in the months and potentially years ahead.
