The chairman of the American Conservative Union acknowledged he interacted with a Conservative Political Action Conference attendee who tested positive for the coronavirus.Matt Schlapp told the Washington Post on Saturday he had an interaction with the infected attendee, though it’s unclear when the two had some form of contact. He later told Fox & Friends Weekend on Sunday that he had "incidental contact" with the attendee "very briefly."
Schlapp appeared on stage with President Trump on the final day of the conference and shook his hand. In a tweet, Schlapp said the infected attendee did not attend the conference on Saturday, the day Trump gave remarks.

I remember an episode of "24" where an assassin had poison on her hand, then should the president's hand during a ropeline walk and he died. Sorry gang, but I don't put anything past the rats.

I pray for our President often. Thank you Lord for protecting him. Also he is a neat freak/germaphobia. I am sure he washed his hands often.

Unless they kissed or the infected guy sneezed on him, seems unlikely that there is an issue.
Wash your hands. Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze. Wash your hands.
All the stuff your mother taught you when you were 6 years old. Not rocket science.

Even if Trump were to get this, he would throw it off easily, I will bet. He is not one of the folks in a nursing home with various added chronic diseases, especially lung diseases.

Handwashing is important but most people do not wash them the right way. You have to wash them for 20 seconds, then use a paper towel (if in a public restroom) to turn off the water and open the door. It also helps to really wring your hands together

Mr Schlapp! Mr. Schlapp! Did you have any contact with the attendee who tested positive for coronavirus?
I have no desire to address that question.

Yeah, and....my grandson stayed with me for a week with the flu so the kids could go to work and who knows how many peoples hands I've shaken or people with early flu that weren't showing that I've been around. We're aware of the flu every year but we don't go into panic mode. Move on, wash your hands, and don't be a hermit.

Many years ago, while making the all night sailing passage from Fla to the Bahamas with a good friend, a bioresearcher and university prof since the mid 70s, we were "solving the world's problems", had to stay up all night, watch for ship traffic. One topic that I remember was that he had been reminded by some events at work of the many novel diseases that existed then only in small reservoirs in "far away places", and that modern air travel would now enable rapid spread, unlike the months long sailing voyages in the past. If you had a dread disease then, you died or got over it before you got to anywhere. Diseases didn't spread so easily.
One thing that he said then, in the 90s, "Soap is probably the greatest single human invention which has helped us to defeat all these diseases."
Yeah, wash your hands.

You can wash your hands for twenty minutes. A few minutes later, your skin will have repopulated the skin flora, bacteria, virus and fungi. The remarkable thing is that, although we live in a sea of microorganisms inside and out, our miraculous, some would say God Given defenses, defeat most of them. Not saying that you shouldn’t wash your hands and not cough on others.
