President Trump is renominating Texas Rep. John Ratcliffe to become the next director of national intelligence."I am pleased to announce the nomination of @RepRatcliffe (Congressman John Ratcliffe) to be Director of National Intelligence (DNI)," the president tweeted on Friday. "Would have completed process earlier, but John wanted to wait until after IG Report was finished. John is an outstanding man of great talent!" (Tweet) Trump had previously nominated the Texas Republican to replace Dan Coats as the director last summer, but Ratcliffe was forced to withdraw, blaming what he described as a partisan nomination process after senators, including Republicans, questioned his credentials.

This is an outstanding appointment! Mr. Ratcliffe is super smart---and an honest man, absolutely incredibly good for our country. Finally, we will have someone at DNI that knows the law, and will not tolerate past coverups of law breaking, or any in the future. The documents are going to come out from under the rocks.

Interesting (Henry Gibson voice)...Trump just 10 days ago appointed Ric Grenell Acting DNI...And he is maintaining his position as Ambassador to Germany. Grenell gets rid of Rood, #3 at Defense/Pentagon. So, is this one of those corporate moves where the hatchet man comes in, does a quick house-cleaning, and does more while Ratcliffe is going through the confirmation process, then takes over once the dust has settled? Hmmmm......

President Donald Trump thrilled CPAC audiences imitating “Mini” Mike Bloomberg at the podium Saturday. The crowd roared with delight as Trump squatted at the podium to appear like the shorter former New York City Mayor as he recapped the Democrat debate.“Boy, did Pocahontas destroy him, I’ll tell you,” Trump said. The president mocked Bloomberg for spending historic levels of his own money on ads and then dropping in the polls.“It just shows you can’t buy an election,” he said. “I mean, it just — there’s a point at which people say, you gotta bring the goods a little bit too. (Video) A century before cats dominated YouTube, they were the subject of one very adoring photographer. Recently, a family member reached out to YouTuber Mathieu Stern with a fun fact: There was possibly a time capsule hidden in his old family home. The photography experiment-focused video-maker looked into it, and sure enough discovered a box he estimates dates to roughly 1900, based on its contents — which included 120-year-old glass-plate negatives of cat photos.“I then decided to develop them using one of the oldest ways to make solar prints: cyanotype,” he writes in a blog post.

"Let's call it Trumpvirus," urged a New York Times opinion writer conspiratorially. Nancy Pelosi groused that President Trump waited too long to attack the coronavirus (COVID-19) and then impetuously declared he couldn't have leftover and unspent Ebola virus money to fight it, while Senator Chuck Schumer looked down his nose and over his glasses to intone that it was the end of the world and the president hadn't spent enough money to stop the scourge. Joe Biden and Michael Bloomberg have both been called out for politicizing the virus. By their lights, Trump's doing it all wrong. They won't be able to tell you why,

Myrtle Beach (United States) - For centuries, South Carolina's Charleston was the largest port of entry for the transatlantic slave trade.
