As night closed in on the migrant camp, masses of people made their way to their makeshift tents, climbing hills of denuded olive trees, carrying dinner in plastic bags. Lila Ayobi showed her family what she had waited three hours in line to collect. Ten cucumbers. “Everything else was finished,” Ms Ayobi told them. Her four children would have nothing else to eat until morning, when Ms Ayobi would rise at 5 am to wait in line again, this time for prepackaged croissants, one per person.
Waiting and disappointment are a central part of existence for the 38,000 people at Greece‘s critically overcrowded Aegean island camps, where

Why don't all these "migrants" fix their own homes?? Do they really think running to some other place is the answer? Are there no people with conviction and leadership in those countries that they flee??

The tourists are there legally, and they bring money.

Send them back to their own country with a Doctor without borders under each arm.

Let's see if I have this right. You left your home country on your own, Greece accepted you and you still aren't happy. You want octopus? Catch some. Like Omar, you are ungrateful refugees. Were they suppose to drop everything, tax the citizens and put you up in new apartments?
Everywhere you go, there you are. If you were a complainer in the old country, you will be one in the new country.

EuroSwamp bureaucracy at work. Sure these illegals immigrants, most of whom I am sure are Muslims from Islamic hell holes, should not have illegally entered Europe but the EU has done a crappy job of dealing with this situation, as usual. No one wants to take them in for good reason but no one wants to be the adult here and force them to go home or find another destination. So this non-solution means these folks starve in overpopulated, unsanitary camps. This situation speaks to everything that is wrong about the EU.

#8, maybe if they make them miserable they will want to go home. They are unwelcome, unwanted, and destructive barbarians.

Cheeky is right!
“They wait because the Greek government and local authorities are at odds about what to do with them, and because a closed-off Europe has not offered another place to put them, even as rights groups decry the camps as an emblem of the continent’s failures.”
As an emblem of the (European) continent’s failure? Buddy, that is rich! If all these teeming masses of unassimilatable aliens stayed home to fix their own damned problems, there wouldn’t be a failure of the continent! It’s not the Euros’s responsibility, it’s the corrupt third-world hellholes they spilled over from! Cheeky! The tourists PAID for the octopus dinners, Chico! Those free-loaders didn’t even bring toilet paper!

iirc, wasn't it Obama, John Kerry and Hillary Clinton's mis-guided foreign policies that led to much of the unrest that in turn was the major factor leading to the mass migrations of mostly Muslims into Europe (and the United States)? Funny how we are told that Europeans held and continue to hold Obama in high esteem. Of course, now that history is being written by mostly progressive/Globalist professors and media opinion writers, perhaps Europeans (and many Americans) don't know what caused the mass migrations.

If they don't like it, they can self-deport back to where they came from.

These migrants need to thank EU and Soros for this mess. I'm all for sending them back to their homeland. By the way, they pay nothing and becoming an extreme burden on the countries that take them in. The tourists are paying for their stay. Every country that they enter, these people demand something. They have become a burden, some are terrorists, some are lazy, etc. Just send them back, problem solved.

You can take Muslims out of their countries but you cannot take the entitlement minded, grievance mongers out of the barbarians. They do not come to assimilate but to force the host country to submit to their demands. Fools that most countries are, they comply and then reap the whirlwind of their violence, chaos, and unbridled lust to force compliance through population growth and eventually through political power. This is not migration, it is invasion with a very dark and dangerous strategy behind it. Americans should wake up to this truth or suffer the consequences. We cater too much to their demands. The onus should be on them to assimilate. If they can’t, then they need to return from whence they came because the majority of Americans will not submit. One more thing, absolutely no sharia law anywhere in the country. If sharia law is in your community or trying to get in, fight to keep it out or get it out. It is not compatible with the United States Constitution and only enables and emboldens them to gain power over their people and eventually the communities in which it is established. Unlike the progressive meme that all cultures are the same, it is simply not the truth. Some are toxic and this one is especially so. Too harsh? Prove me wrong. Show me one Muslim nation that is not repressive, violent, and in chaos. We do not need that here.

Cheeky! They could always, say, go back home and set things right instead of demanding handouts from foreign countries that already have many problems of their own.
