Sen. Amy Klobuchar's (D-Minn.) 2020 momentum may be sputtering, but she doesn't seem to notice. While the Democratic presidential candidate turned out a surprising third place finish in New Hampshire's Democratic primary earlier this month, that luck hasn't seemed to extend to Nevada's caucuses. Still, Klobuchar delivered a self-congratulatory speech on Saturday where she praised her team for having "exceeded expectations," despite early results showing her in a distant fifth place. With four percent of caucuses reporting Saturday, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) had secured more than 6,000 votes to former Vice President Joe Biden's 2,700 and Klobuchar's 1,068. That put

If her expectation was to flame out in Nevada, she indeed exceeded that expectation.

Her expectations weren't very high if she 'exceeded' them by coming in 5th...

The importance of the Nevada Caucus is WAY over-played. Nevada has a population of 3 million. There are 700,000 registered Democrat voters. Yesterday, about 60,000 (maybe a little more, but less than 100,000 when all the counting is done), got together in empty gyms and church halls around the state. Bernie, the "big winner" , got around 30,000 votes.
It's ridiculous.

Anyone who has had the misfortune of watching her knows that she congratulates herself a lot.

Forgive me. Am I the only one who can't help having her remind me of Rosa Klebb, the Russian military nemesis for James Bond in From Russia With Love? The hair, the weird smile, the almost military suits she wears.

The video of Klobuchar pandering to a room full of Latina's in Las Vegas was comical, as was her failure to name the president of Mexico. Yet she gets a pass from the media. Remember the flack Sarah Palin had to endure from the media for making the tongue in cheek comment that she "could see Russia from her house".

Well, the owners of the Seattle Times like her. They just endorsed her. The Blethen family used to be staunch conservatives but that was a couple of generations ago and a long, long, time ago.

I kind of like having Amy around. It’s fun watching her make a fool of herself.

Leaving, Amy? So soon? Wait, have another cup of coffee. And another piece of pie.
(Minnesotans will be able to translate this).

And don’t forget. She claims she has never lost an election - all the way back to the 4th grade. I guess all the primary and caucus losses don’t count?

#7, Sarah Palin didn't say that she could see Russia from her front door. The woman imitating her on Saturday Night Live said it, after Sarah tried to explain that the Governor of Alaska, unlike other governors, had to work closely with the federal government, given the fact that Russia and Alaska were so close, geographically.
It has become one of those legends, sort of like believing Humphrey Bogart, in Casablanca, said 'play it again, Sam.' Bogart actually said, Play it, Sam. If she can take it, so can I.'

I don’t mind leg hair, and never had little children licking it, like Joe. But Amy apparently does. Hasn’t she heard of Nair? Presumably still around, and “works” according to their ads. Should be preferable to having an aide (servant), shave it off under the desk. Reminds one of old Billy Jeff, but the servants were under the desk for a different reason.
