Here we go again with Russian meddling. The day after a widely panned debate by the Democrat presidential hopefuls, the headline in The New York Times reads: "Lawmakers Are Warned That Russia Is Meddling to Re-elect Trump."According to the newspaper: Intelligence officials warned House lawmakers last week that Russia was interfering in the 2020 campaign to try to get President Trump re-elected, five people familiar with the matter said, a disclosure to Congress that angered Mr. Trump, who complained that Democrats would use it against him.

Prepping the narrative for a Trump landslide in November. At some point, when digging one’s own grave, wouldn’t a sane person realize it? No need to answer; it was rhetorical.

They are not ' Intelligence Officials' in any relevant sense. They are Deep State hacks out protect their and their bosses' hides. The timing is too convenient.

It's a given that Russia would rather deal with Trump than anyone else in our government because their people want real peace as much as we do, and it's time that we got past the "Russia is the enemy" mindset. Our own media is more our country's enemy than Russia.

Can someone explain just what these Russians intend doing to meddle? Buying facebook ads? Twitter Bots? Recruiting illegal voters? Oh, you don't mean the Democrats?

Have these same intelligence officials also warned the administration, or just the Democrat-led House Intelligence Committee? Remember in 2016, there was alleged Russian interference in the Trump campaign. But nobody warned Trump.

Given Trump's policies and actions have hurt Russia very greatly, and it is in Russia's interest to have a weak, non-nationalist, President of the USA, why on Earth would the Russians want to help Trump?
Perhaps Russia knows the MSM will print anything, no matter how stupid, that would hurt Trump, so it gives a useful idiot at the NYT a "we love Trump" story.
And said useful idiot does what useful idiots do.

So what! The Russians are going to do what they have always done, whatever they feel is in the interest of Russia and the Russian leadership, as they have always done. There is nothing that the US Democrats and the US Republicans can do about Russian election related meddling, except ensure that US data and election systems are secure so that the Russians cannot use those systems to their benefit, along with educating the American public in an honest and non-partisan way as to what the Russians are doing.
It is hard to believe that the Russians would actually prefer a “Put America First” nationalist like President Trump who has put strong sanctions against Russia, over an outright socialist such as Bernie Sanders who apparently spent his honeymoon in Moscow, USSR, or a globalist like mini Mike Bloomberg who is apt to grant commercial and other concessions to countries like China and Russia, that are adverse to US foreign policy goals.
The liberal Democrats going on fraudulently calling Trump a Russian agent, that most Americans know now to be a bogus claim and a partisan dirty trick, is just going to end up with Trump winning the November election in a bigger landslide.
Here we have the intelligence community giving the House Intelligence Committee chaired by Adam Schiff a classified intelligence briefing and low and behold critical intelligence information, which in itself may well be bogus, is immediately leaked to the leftist New York Times, obviously to try and make Trump look bad in the eyes of low information voters who have not been paying attention. Clearly Trump has an absolute right to be mad about such a partisan Democrat dirty trick and unauthorized release of classified information.

"Putin prefers Trump" defies all logic. When will these yahoos who keep publishing this stuff learn that no one with an ounce of intelligence is falling for it? Boy who Cried Wolf on steroids...

What exactly are the Russians doing to influence the election??? Posting things on Facebook like millions of US residents also do? Posting things on InstaGram, like millions of US residents do? Are they buying ads or posting videos with a certain point of view like millions of US residents do? How is anything that the Russians are doing any different from the things that both the Democrats and Republican, as well as every candidate for office, and their followers who use the internet are doing?
