Neil Young eviscerates Donald
Trump in searing open letter:
‘You are a disgrace to my country’

Original Article

Posted By: Ribicon, 2/20/2020 2:57:33 PM

Neil Young has published a searing open letter in which he bashes Donald Trump as “a disgrace to my country”. Young posted the missive online on Tuesday. The Canadian-born musician, an outspoken opponent to the US president, announced last month that he had become a US citizen and intended to use his new voting rights to support the Democrats. In his new open letter, Young also reiterates his support for Bernie Sanders, whom he previously backed in 2016.(Snip) “Your mindless destruction of our shared natural resources, our environment, and our relationships with friends around the world is unforgivable.”  Source corrected.

A sip of fine Canadian whine: evidently, Donald Trump is a disgrace to the Great White North. "It's better to Bern out than it is to rust?" Or as Lynyrd Skynyrd put it, "I hope Neil Young will remember... a Southern man don't need him around anyhow."

I like the Freudian slip in his screed: "Our first black president was a better man than you are." Does he mean, "you're not even as good as a black man"? Or maybe the insult refers to Bill Clinton, our real first black president, who was the son of a prostitute.

Neil Young's parents divorced when he was very young after his father had multiple affairs. He never finished high school and is not very well educated in any formal sense. He is the perfect personality type to fall for socialist propaganda despite his talent and success in music. In some ways his early life is similar to Bernie Sanders who never held a steady job until he got elected mayor of Burlington VT in his 40s. He may be projecting his resentment and anger at his father on President Trump who he fantasizes is a philanderer and phony who abuses women. It would be interesting to see how many of Bernie's Bros fit this profile.

What a stupid, rich, singer. Instead of being super grateful for what the US has given him, he whines about it like the punk he is. 'natural resources?' I guarantee you old Neil uses more resources than anyone posting here. How much land have you secured for just you, Neil? How many private flights have you taken? How much natural resources have been ravaged so you can gather a crowd to listen to your out of tune, scratched voice? 'Our' environment is doing MUCH better now that President Trump has been in office for almost 4 years. You haven't noticed, because you are stupid, but the USA leads the world in cleaning up the 'environment.' here and elsewhere. Ship your wrinkled butt to the Amazon and whine to the illegal lawyers and stone age farmers, if you are really concerned. YOUR friends aren't friends of freedom loving people of this Republic. Commies smell, which is why you fit right in.

I presume that Mr. Young will vote in California, and therefore his vote will be pretty irrelevant. It seems extremely unlikely that Trump will obtain anywhere near the 50% point in California where Mr. Young's newly minted Canadian-American vote will make any difference. Most likely, the Dem candidate will get 65%, so he will make it 65% +1 which is of exactly the same value as if he never voted. And thanks to our LDotter new American for offering to offset. Unless you live in Cali, it won't offset anything, but if you do - excellent.

Am I the only person who is getting so sick of this trend in "journalism"? And not just from lie-berals. Conservatives are terrible at this too. Neil Young did not "eviscerate" President Trump. He said some stupid and nasty words that did nothing to President Trump. I doubt President Trump will even hear about them, but even less care in the least if he does hear about them. Neil Young is a washed-up, brain-fried old rocker. He doesn't have the power to "eviscerate" anybody. In fact, after all the drugs, I doubt he can really put together very many cohesive sentences. And I bet somewhere there is a conservative writer talking about how some conservative "destroyed" some lie-beral because they said something really harsh about them. And, no, they didn't "destroy" anybody. Please, God, let this stupid trend stop!!!!!

Ten people have been injured after a car ploughed into a carnival parade in the western German town of Volkmarsen, police said. Police said the driver had been arrested but they declined to say whether the incident was an accident or a deliberate attack. The German news website HNA cited witnesses as saying the driver appeared to have deliberately targeted children and had driven into the crowd “at full throttle”.(Snip) Carnival is hugely popular in parts of western Germany, especially in Rhineland cities such as Cologne and Düsseldorf, where festivities peak on Rose Monday, with tens of thousands of people attending street parades

Rifling through a bag to find a debit card could soon be a thing of the past for commuters. Technology being developed by payment giant Mastercard would allow travellers to pay simply by walking up to a turnstile. The US company is working on systems which will identify customers by examining their physical characteristics and how they walk. So-called 'gait analysis technology' would use cameras around tube and train stations to film passengers approaching the barriers—and automatically let them pass if they matched the person's walk with a valid bank account. Ajay Bhalla of Mastercard told financial news website MarketWatch that the company

Eight out of 10 employees working in the arts or culture fields said that sharing controversial opinions could mean 'being professionally ostracized' or bullied, according to a new survey. These revelations reportedly stem from an increasing culture of self-censorship and a fear of backlash from colleagues over views that may politically incorrect. The Freedom of Expression survey conducted by ArtsProfessionals, a UK arts publication, received responses from more than 500 individuals in the field, many of which pointed out the risks that can come with speaking freely. Some of these topics include expressing support for right-wing ideologies and conservative political parties.

New Jersey officials have raised the threat level from white supremacists to the highest possible level—while deeming Islamic terror groups like ISIS a low threat to the Garden State. The annual threat assessment report released Friday shows that white supremacists are now labeled a “high” threat for attacks, joining other so-called homegrown violent extremists as the biggest menace. “The threat from white supremacist extremists increased from moderate to high in 2020 due to the number of threats, plots, and attacks conducted in 2019,” the report said. ISIS, however, was dropped from a moderate threat level to low, joining other fundamentalist

It seems Michael Bloomberg entered the presidential race for at least two reasons: he wants to be president and he understands the importance of denying President Trump a second term. His late entrance into the race, however, means every decision he makes is exponentially more consequential as the clock counts down to November 3. His strategy so far has been to spend -- and spend some more -- blanketing the media landscape with the message that he's the best candidate to take on Trump. In any political campaign, candidates need to know what they stand for, and who -- or what - they're up
