My Walk on the Wild Side
Attending a Bernie Sanders Rally

Bernie Sanders came to Denver last weekend and for fun I took my family to his Sunday night rally. Since we are all Republicans, this was a true walk on the wild side in the form of opposition research. As Sun Tzu said, “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.” Held at the Colorado Convention Center, the rally “drew thousands” according to local media. There were no lines to get in, other than at the obligatory metal detectors now seen at everything from political rallies to sporting events.

One disagreement here. That Bernie has been consistently socialist is not to his credit. He has learned to rationalize every objection and failure to protect his core belief. That is fanaticism.

Bernie may not be the establishment favored candidate. He may be denied the nomination through establishment skulduggery. But, after 30 years in the US Senate, he has shown he is a bought and paid for member of the profiteering and bi-partisan UNIPARTY. Ultimately, that is what counts.

I don't believe I would venture into a venue to see a crazy guy who looks like he combed his hair with a balloon ranting and promising free stuff. I'm not that interested in Bernie the Bolshevik or the likes of Liz Warren who sound ignorant to me. I'm too old and lived long enough to know I like toilet paper on the shelves in the store, food available to eat and walking my dog not eating my dog because of hunger. Bernie Sanders just wants to live long enough to enjoy the spoils of victory but he really doesn't believe it he's just enjoying the ride but not on me if I can help it.

Haney’s body was found lying on the ground outside his car (snip) Haney, who is credited with helping capture more than 300 jihadists, is best known for blowing the whistle on the Obama administration for shutting down an investigation he was leading that could have potentially stopped, among others… the terrorist attack in San Bernardino.

Once again operating out of their well-worn playbook, the Democrats are spinning the cylinder and placing the gun to their heads in suggesting the Russians are backing the President’s re-election, and once again they missed the empty chamber and fired a bullet into their leading candidate. In 2016, when they claimed that Trump was Russia’s choice and had secured his election, they ended up with highlighting to voters what the media had covered up: It was Hillary Clinton who approved the Uranium One sale of 20% of U.S. Uranium.

On Tuesday, news broke that the Queen had banned Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from marketing the “Sussex Royal” brand. Friday morning, another story broke, saying that Meghan was whining about this because she and Harry had already invested money in selling themselves. Also on Friday, the Queen won and Meghan backed down. Queen Elizabeth comes from a generation that holds that you can’t eat your cake and have it. In other words, when you make choices, you have to take both the benefit and the burden of that choice. Meghan Markle, on the other hand, is a child of the Veruca Salt generation.

The pieces are falling in place for a complete debacle for the Democrats, up to and including a convention walkout and riots if Michael Bloomberg’s plans to gain the nomination succeed. Under that scenario, an embittered radical wing of the party convinced that they have been betrayed in favor of a greedy plutocrat would not provide the necessary votes to defeat President trump’s ambitions for a second term. More likely, they would back a third-party radical candidate, or stay home. But not before rioting in protest on a scale that would make the riots at the 1968 Chicago Democratic Convention

A quick back-and-forth occurred over the last week between President Trump and the nation's federal judges. (snip) The judges have postponed their planned "emergency meeting" indefinitely. Like most things the president says that cause alarm for the D.C. establishment, it is not the recklessness of his words, but their truthfulness that rattles them, and the more truth he slings their way, the more rattled they become. The judges realized they were about to make a consequential mistake by taking on directly the one person in the country not afraid to put the Judicial Branch in its place.

Hollywood commodifies women. It always has and, the #MeToo movement notwithstanding, it always will. It’s taken just 45 days for a royal pipe dream to well and truly bite the dust. Last month, Harry and Meghan tried to bounce the ancient institution into giving them a ‘progressive new role’ as part-time royals, part-time money makers. Harry’s 93-year-old grandmother doesn’t take kindly to being bounced or indeed being blindsided. With British regulations and royal rules on her side, the Queen has imposed her final restriction on the couple embarking on a self-imposed exile. Sussex Royal can be no more. A freshly branded website will have to be re-branded. Their supporters will argue it’s no great loss.
