Royal no more? Harry and Meghan face
possible loss of 'royal' brand

Original Article

LONDON - The British royal family is in discussions with Prince Harry and Meghan over the use of the word "royal" in their branding after the couple abruptly gave up royal duties to start a new life in Canada. (Snip) "As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are stepping back as senior members of the royal family and will work towards financial independence, use of the word ‘royal’, in this context, needed to be reviewed," a royal source said. "Discussions are still ongoing," the source said. Harry and Meghan use the "Sussex Royal" brand extensively. Their website is named sussexroyal.com and they applied to trademark the phrases Sussex Royal and Sussex Royal Foundation

Comments:

They have licensed the Sussex Royal brand for a raft of stuff - products and others - listed in the article. Anything and everything they can think of… Intending to finance themselves by exploiting the royal name when no longer royals. How will the Queen work that out?

Not "possible," it is definite according to the Daily Mail. They've been told they can't use "Sussex Royal" because they're no longer royals.

These two have earned nothing but contempt. A B list former actress and her kitty whipped husband setting out on their journey to force themselves on the rich begging for jobs and speaking contracts. Harry’s first ever contact with the real world is already stressful. Hope that Canadian millionaire doesn’t evict them from his mansion. No, actually I do hope he does.

Intrusive media? That troll knew what she was getting into when she married Harry. She should count herself lucky if she's allowed to call herself Mrs. Windsor let alone use any "Royal" titles or monikers. I feel sorry for a child who has a mother as selfish and stupid as she is.

Who among us thinks that if we resign from a company we are still entitled to receive a salary? If this unfortunate couple no longer performs duties for the Firm they cannot demand payment from them either. Every benefit they had before Megxit should be taken away from them. On the plus side Burger King is still hiring and double wide trailers are reasonably priced. Then for sure Megs would high tail it out of Dodge!!

Poor Harry imagines he's protecting his wife from the media, when in fact, she can't get enough of it. Unfortunately, neither of them is as smart as Her Majesty the Queen. They've been granted their wishes w/ nary a "Royal" to their name. Hope they enjoy their newfound freedom and "family" of Clintons, Obamas and Oprahs.

FTA: "Harry has spoken of his sadness at being forced to give up his royal duties, saying there was no other option if he and Meghan were to seek an independent future away from stifling media intrusion." It seems not matter what they do or where they live there will be media intrusion. Just look at the magazines and tabloids at the checkout at the grocery store and they are almost always on the cover.

Once Harry and Meghan decamp to Hollywood, the home of fake American Royalty, they can tell the real Queen to go jump in the lake and copyright their Sussex Royal moniker. As long as they believe that there is a buck in it for them the fake Hollywood Royalty would go right along.

Poor Harry. I really believe he had no idea what he was getting into. Things are going exactly the way Meghan planned, except for not being able to use "Sussex Royal". She'll find another name in an attempt to burn the Queen. You and I may need a period of time to financially get on our feet. I think they have something like $40M to start out life as a married couple with a baby. Definitely cut them off the List and Charles should not be helping them with "our" money from the Duchy of Cornwall.

A segment on MSNBC Friday slammed former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg over a video he shared this week that was clearly mocking his debate opponents. The video has been described as "deceptively edited." During Wednesday night's Democratic debate, Bloomberg was the target of several attacks, but the moment he touted his own business background had his opponents speechless. "Maybe you want to talk about businesses. I think I'm the only one here who ever started a business, is that fair?" Bloomberg looked over at his opponents, none of whom responded. A moment later, Bloomberg quipped, "OK," and carried on with his remarks.

James Comey is a threat to your civil liberty. Comey’s claims are as perverse as they are unmoored from reality. Here’s how. According to Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution, “The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.” This means the president is the chief law enforcement officer of the United States.
