Pompeo: I Hope Secret Democrat Meeting
With Iran Wasn’t Meant To Undermine
U.S. Foreign Policy

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo responded to Federalist reporting Tuesday of Democratic senators privately meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif without State Department knowledge or approval. Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut and other Democrat senators met with Zarif last week on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, an annual forum convening hundreds of world leaders each February to discuss international threats. (Snip)Murphy has defended Democratic rogue meetings with foreign leaders in the past while offering harsh criticism of Republicans who sent an open letter to the Iranian regime while the Obama administration stamped out the details of a nuclear agreement with the Middle Eastern adversary.

Comments:

Murphy, Menendez, Van Hollen, and - drum roll - John Kerry. What could go wrong? Murphy has been a hardliner in the past, condemning Republicans for doing anything that would undermine a (Democrat) president’s foreign policy.

Some people need to be arrested and tried for treason. Iran is a sworn enemy of the US and many of our allies. Enough is enough. Same with the people who leak classified information from the president's meetings.

Oh, no. Surely not. The Dems just violated the Logan Act. Not that anyone cares. They are Dems. And Dems CANNOT break the law, since they are the law. So just forget about it. Now if a Republican had done this, that Pubbie would be at Guantanamo. There is unequal justice under law in this country. Proof: compare Flynn and McCabe. Compare Libby and Clinton. Make any comparison you want. It is simply unjust.

The blatant violation of US law by Democrats is just astounding. We've seen it in the FBI, at State, in DOJ, in EPA in Congress and many others. Until they start being prosecuted, it will continue and become even more blatant if that is possible. Barr needs to get the job done, but I'm not real optimistic.

First, how are any of these Democrats considered "world leaders"? Thus, no real reason to be attending such an event. Second, need to ensure it's widely publicized that they met with Iran WITHOUT State Department, or any official approval, and demand to have a transcript of what was discussed. I'm confident they would not want anything they discussed known publicly considering they likely advised an incoming Democrat administration will ease the sanctions, just make sure our fee is deposited in the appropriate accounts.

The Democratic Party’s establishment might well succeed in making Michael Bloomberg president of the United States—not on Election Night 2020, however. But it could happen if a third party were to win some electoral votes and, with no candidate receiving a majority of them, the House of Representatives was called upon to choose between the top-two electoral vote-getters. Today’s civil war within the Democratic Party makes it possible that two candidates will come from it: Bernie Sanders for the Woke Left, and Bloomberg for the establishment. In that case, enough establishment Republicans in the House might join their establishment Democratic colleagues to defeat Trump. This would realign U.S. politics:

That honor would go to the Houston Astros, the Nationals’ opponent in that thrilling seven-game battle and the winners of the 2017 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
