A New York City man who’s now been arrested 139 times thanked Democrats for guaranteeing his immediate release despite repeatedly swiping hundreds of dollars from unsuspecting subway commuters since the state’s new bail reform law went into effect Jan. 1. Charles Barry, 56, has been arrested six times since the start of this year. He’s been released each time without having to post bail under New York’s new bail reform law since his alleged offenses were nonviolent, the New York Daily News reported. In the past, Barry’s served several stints in state prison and has a lengthy record, including six felonies, 87 misdemeanors and 21 missed court hearings,

Arrested six times since Jan 1st. This means he has probably stolen 25 times to be caught six times.
In any sane place, this guy would have earned a lifetime stay in prison a couple of decades ago.
But, in NYC, they just don't care at all about protecting the honest citizens from these literal career criminals.
Literal insanity in their "legal system".

Since the actual legal system clearly has zero interest in protecting citizens, this is the kind of situation which pressures people to take the law into their own hands. Perhaps a group like the old Guardian Angles needs to form with the idea of pounding some sense into guys like Mr. Barry, at a location selected to be absent cameras and witnesses. Sad that there is no actual law in NYC any more.

Legal Aid Society response: “Locking up Mr. Barry on unaffordable bail or worse, remanding without bail, ultimately does nothing to protect the public and fails entirely to address his actual needs.” When did the perpetrator's needs take precedence over the law abiding citizen's?

Nice idea, #4, but essentially ALL weapons are illegal to carry in NYC. AFAIK, only a small, pocket sized, specifically NYC approved pepper spray is even legal in NYC, and requires filling out forms, ID to purchase at A GUN DEALER only, and limited to purchasing two pocket sprays. Only the wealthy can afford the bribes necessary to get a concealed carry permit in NYC, and even the NY state permits are not valid in NYC.

Statement of The Legal Aid Society: “Locking up Mr. Barry on unaffordable bail or worse, remanding without bail, ultimately does nothing to protect the public and fails entirely to address his actual needs.” False on both counts! 1; Locking him up protects the public from his illegal acts. 2; Locking him up will provide his basic needs.

As long as the bail reform law stays as is in NY, I don't think this guy is going to a state that doesn't have the same law. If the New Yorkers are dumb enough to accept the law, that's on them. Someday the crook will run into the wrong mark and end laying across the third rail or looking up at an on coming train.

Filling in the missing letters via the Daily Mail, FTA: "I’m famous! I take $200, $300 a day of your money, cracker! You can’t stop me!" Barry shouted to reporters. "It’s a great thing. It’s a beautiful thing." ... It's OK for this person to toss racial epithets because it's Black History Month, a time of heightened sensitivities in the Community. Cuomo and his 100% demonrat run legislature made sure that their criminal base didn't have to waste their lucrative ill gotten gains on something pesky like bail. Crime is soaring in NY but all demonrats deny it and the propaganda media covers it all up. I'm surprised this article even got published.

These thoughts reflect the writer's concern about the worsening political and social conditions in Germany, a nation whose importance — for America, Europe, and the world — should require no laboring to a readership of politically sophisticated Americans. What's happening today in Germany is deeply disturbing. And it's not for the reason casual American observers, including many conservatives, might think based on information derived from the mainstream English-language media. Contrary to these purveyors of globalist, multi-cultural propaganda, the reason for growing unease about Germany is not the presence in the German parliament (Bundestag), and persistent electoral strength, of "Die Alternative für Deutschland" ("The alternative for Germany," or AFD)

Every day, the swarms grow larger and travel further into the African continent. A comment published last week in Nature, a leading scientific journal, has thrown a monkey wrench into hundreds of studies and media stories that previously predicted dire climate consequences in the future due to increased carbon dioxide (CO2) in our atmosphere. The consequences were predicted by a computer model called Representative Carbon Pathways (RCP), and the worst-case scenario model, RCP8.5, had been cited more than 2,500 times in scientific journals and in hundreds of media stories as the primary need for "urgent action" on climate. Predictions from the RCP8.5 model suggested maximum global temperature increases of nearly 6°C (10.8°F) by the year 2100, shown in Figure 1.

In a 2016 talk at Oxford University in England, a clip of which went viral over the weekend, the 2020 Democratic presidential contender belittled both agricultural and industrial jobs as simple and simplistic. “I could teach anybody, even the people in this room” to be a farmer, he said, calling agriculture “a process.” “You dig a hole, you put a seed in, you put dirt on top, add water, up comes the corn,” he said. He spoke similarly of factory jobs as mechanical repetition requiring no brain power.
