One of Robert Mueller's former top prosecutors said the outside prosecutor picked to review the case against retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn is a ruse to investigate President Trump's perceived enemies. Andrew Weissmann, a former Justice Department official who was known as Mueller's "pit bull" during the Russia investigation, said the Justice Department swapped out the "loser case" of Andrew McCabe,

It is true that Barr assigned an outside prosecutor to investigate Gen. Flynn. However, the MSM has already started the new spin/allegations of Trump weaponizing the DOJ and FBI. The dimwits will believe it. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! Honestly, it's exhausting!!!!

#2 is right. This will be the new media spin. Just as AG Barr is being slammed as a Trump toady, for simply doing his job, any new investigations or prosecutions will be labeled as personal retaliation at the direction of President Trump. Anyone associated with the Administration is labeled as partisan and biased, should recuse him or herself or should resign. Worked with AG Sessions right out of the gate so why not keep using it. This old approach is becoming really stale and more and more obvious to the public. But the media continues to promote it despite being burned again and again.

I read somewhere long ago that this might happen and I had forgotten about it. The "lack of candor" charges aren't worth bothering with if there are much worse charges, crimes than lying to fellow FBI officers. We'll see. The work Durham has already done doesn't have to be repeated if it can be used in more serious charges of conspiracy.... at least that's what I presume. ( Sondlund did a lot of presuming too, however.)

Re #1, this is speculation from Andrew Weissman, the nasty guy who was really the head of the so-called”Mueller Investigation”. Sidney Powell, who knows Weissman well, said the “Mueller” report was his writing. We don’t get excited when the enemy speculates.

Welcome to the deep state world of perpetual investigation. Keep starting new investigations rather than seeking indictments. Run out the clock. Only 11 or (worst case for them) 59 months to go. Then back to business as usual.

This is a chance to move these proceedings outside the DC area and "Downtown Juries", or should I say "Downtown Grand Juries". If this is true, I will relish the prospect of falling at Bill Barr's feet and begging forgiveness for all the bad thoughts I've had in the last few days.

AG Barr read this story and thought to himself, “Great, I hope Trump doesn’t tweet about this!” He then rechecked the empty donut box, hoping that he’d simply missed the last donut that wasn’t there the last time he checked, then grabs the TV remote to look for old reruns of I Love Lucy. Flipping through the channels, he remembers how everyone called his appointment a brilliant move and chuckles, leans to the left and passes gas ... pppfffffttttt!!! Checks text messages, reads one from Durham that reads, “Am I still supposed to be investigating? Lemme know when we can say everyone is in the clear due to lack of evidence. Condo in Bermuda going unused.”

I’d just like to see one prosecution started, Then we’d have some hope that Durham is actually doing something. But it has only been about a year since he’s been on the job. He probably hasn’t followed the cabal like we have. We know though how devious the cabal has been. We know they have strategized ad how they’d handle these scenarios. Playing the victim has always worked well for the left.

By all accounts, Soleimani was the world’s most dangerous terrorist, responsible for the deaths of thousands. The number of people shedding tears for the leader of Iran’s infamous Quds Force is very limited, and most assuredly, Carlson was not mourning Soleimani’s death.

On Oct. 16, 1919, Adolf Hitler became a propagandist. It would be his chief occupation for the rest of his life. Without propaganda, he could never have become a public figure, let alone risen to power. It was as a propagandist that he made a second world war possible, and defined Jews as Germany’s foe. The form of his propaganda was inextricable from its content: the fictionalization of a globalized world into simple slogans

The Justice Department announced Friday that it is closing its investigation of Andrew McCabe, the FBI’s former deputy director, over his false statements to investigators probing an unauthorized leak that McCabe had orchestrated. McCabe was fired in March 2018, shortly after a blistering Justice Department inspector general (IG) report concluded that he repeatedly and blatantly lied — or, as the Bureau lexicon puts it, “lacked candor” — when questioned, including under oath. Why not indict McCabe on felony false-statements charges? That is the question being pressed by incensed Trump supporters.
