Emissions Accomplished -- Trump Wins on Fracking

After three years of apocalyptic wailing and gnashing of environmentalist teeth over President Trump’s decision to withdraw from the job and economy killing Paris Climate Accord, it is ironic that the one country that faces the brunt of criticism from climate change zealots such as Greta Thunberg is leading the world and the European Union in lowering emissions and promoting cleaner energy, such as natural gas, all the while not hurting the economy:

Common sense policies not driven by unscientific ideological dogma is working. Climate change is just another tool of control driven by greed that fills the pockets of global progressives but can’t stand up to real scientific debate. Therefore, it is couched in apocalyptic language by hypocritical bullies. Progressives are trend followers who desire to be accepted by “the group” so badly that they will say and do anything to parrot their ideas on whatever cause they are pushing at the moment whether it be climate change, gender fluidity, migration, open borders, anti-Americanism, socialism/communism, etc. These people are loud bullies but intellectually challenged. Thank goodness this President ignores their antics and puts the well being of this country above their hysterical blather.

New York City as a whole switched from #2 Fuel Oil to fracked Natural Gas. That switch cleaned the air in NYC so much that Scientific American ran an article saying that it literally saved lives.

How can dems be wrong? Let me count the ways. More energy, reliable energy, energy independence, lower cost energy, economic growth, tiny production footprint, less emissions, and cleaner environment. The ONLY method that has worked. "Democratic Socialist" Europe ... none of the above. All of the dems and far too many dim bulb Republicans are trying to ride the out of steam, warming train. Solar and Wind are limited and expensive toys that can NEVER supply globals needs, no matter if Bloomberg and Steyer threw ALL their money at it. In fact, you could take all the money of all the top 10% and it STILL wouldn't work because these technologies have limits based on PHYSICS and we are already approaching these limits. The effort and challenge to build such an energy infrastructure would far exceed all the greatest engineering challenges of mankind and have extremely low chances of even partial success. Further, it would REQUIRE us to rape the earth to get materials to accomplish the construction (if there are even enough) and to get enough space for the energy generating plants. It would destroy animals and their habitat. The realities of "Green" energy are a nightmare. This is the thinking that Socialism and bureaucratic control brings. As it always does.

It's always good to see America in the lead on something, even climate emissions reductions - the right way. But, oops, carbon dioxide isn't the culprit if it is believed that the planet's atmosphere is warming. Carbon dioxide neither has the ability to absorb heat or insulate the planet. The science speaks for itself. The real culprit? The sun which has been experiencing upheaval now for over 40 years. Another culprit? the earth itself which has been experiencing significant changes in the locations of its magnetic north and south poles that affects the atmosphere's wind patterns and cloud formation. Sorry for the bad news, greenies.

It will make no difference to their hatred of Trump. They want control, and this fraud of MMGW/climate change is just a method to get control, not any sort of an end in itself to any but the useful idiots who actually believe this MMGW/climate control nonsense. All their "policies" have one goal, and really only one goal, the collection of absolute power. All the rest is just a tool to get to that goal.

I have thought for some time if the earth's climate were able to be "controlled", wouldn't our temperature and weather been set to man's liking by now? It is the height of arrogance to believe this possible.

" Climate change " isn't really about cleaning up the environment and never has been. If it were why would the climate change crowd want to punish the nation that has done the most to clean up its environment, USA instead of the countries that are doing the most damage to the environment like India and China? Its really about controlling us and lowering our standard of living so the worlds resources will not be wasted on "the little people" but instead be used by the worlds ruling elite. The ruling class sure isn't going to give up their jets and other fossil fuel burning luxuries but they sure may price those things out of our reach.

Not to rain on anyone's parade because I'm a huge proponent of natural gas and oil, but fracking does cause earthquakes. I've been in several, one was kinda big and scary, too. They started when the heavy drilling equipment set up at the end of the road in a semi-rural area in Oklahoma. And you can feel the floor vibrating when they do it. Once we had the biggish quake, the whole house shook and roared, the heavy equipment down the road packed up and left. No more vibrating floor or earthquakes. Just saying.

# 12 - Never been to either state you mention. You are probably right. But I am right about fracking and earthquakes in Oklahoma. Read back news stories in Shawnee, Ok, say six or so years ago. And drive down any rural road around the area of fracking, you'll see cracks going up the outer walls of every brick house there. All of them. Are you sure there are no quakes in the states you mentioned.

Following Rahm Emanuel’s maxim that a crisis is a terrible thing to waste, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer says the Trump reaction to the coronavirus is too little too late and quibbles over how much money is “enough” to fight a possible pandemic. Yet at the same time, such is cryin’ Chuck’s concern for human life that he and his Democrats sustained a filibuster blocking a bill that would protect the lives of newborn infants that survive a botched abortion. Senate Democrats today blocked a request by Republicans to vote on a bill that would stop infanticide and provide medical care and treatment for babies who are born alive after botched abortions.

Anti-Trump Fox News analyst Neil Cavuto, who often demonstrates the difference between being glib and being articulate, says he doesn’t work for Donald Trump. Cavuto took umbrage at Trump’s reaction to an A.B. Stoddard interview with Cavuto in which she falsely stated, in defending Michael Bloomberg’s Hindenburgesque Nevada debate performance, that Trump consistently lost his 2016 debates with “cringewortthy” and “disastrous” performances. None of what she said was accurate, Cavuto didn’t call her on it, later agreeing with her, and when Trump called both on it during his Colorado rally, Cavuto got righteously indignant in a statement what could have been an MSNBC audition tape...

While Romney, who undoubtedly entertained visions of succeeding a President Trump after his vote helped remove from office, says it was his faith that caused him to believe Trump really did abuse his power to pressure the Ukrainians to dig up dirt on the Bidens, more likely it was because that Romney wanted to put an end to an administration that might expose his link to the Bidens and Burisma,

It reflects his belief that every human life begins at conception and is a gift from God and reflects the fear, an unspoken motive for impeachment, that Trump will get to appoint more Supreme Court justices forming a majority to overturn the wrongly decided Roe V. A seven-month deployment in Afghanistan shrouded in secrecy is a key piece of Pete Buttigieg’s pitch to voters in the 2020 presidential race, with the former South Bend, Indiana, mayor arguing that his status as a veteran and his time in a war zone give him foreign policy gravitas and first-hand military experience none of his Democratic primary rivals can claim. That supposed strength, however, ultimately could become a weakness in a potential general election match-up with President Trump and a Republican Party that is already eyeing ways to turn Mr. Buttigieg’s time as a Naval intelligence officer into a liability. A number of pundits have recently argued that younger voters, especially those under 30, are less inclined to be bothered when they hear the word “socialism,” since they have no firsthand memory of the Cold War. To some extent, this must be true. Those who weren’t alive during socialism’s cruelest catastrophes — or even its many banal failures — will be less put off by the idea. Then again, if a presidential candidate were praising the excellent public transportation system of the Third Reich or going on about the some alleged benefit to American slavery, they would rightly be chased from the public square forever

The board’s vote on the issue was 5-2. The school holiday will be on Oct. 12 this year. CPS is working to develop new curriculum to more accurately tell the history of Native American cultures. The holiday has been controversial because the day has been used to commemorate Italian explorer Christopher Columbus who claimed to have discovered America in 1492.
