What Happened When a Jewish Activist
Confronted Tlaib’s Jew Hatred at Rutgers

On Sunday, Rutgers University hosted the 14th Annual Interfaith Prophet Muhammad Conference. The speakers were Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who had just falsely accused Jews of a blood libel, Craig Considine, a Catholic apologist for Islam who supports BDS, and Imam Sayed Moustafa Al-Qazwini, an Iranian-trained Shiite cleric who had accused Israel of being behind ISIS. (Snip) Hikind was immediately confronted by a man in a keffiyah. Rutgers police officers surrounded the founder of Americans Against Anti-Semitism and escorted him out of the room for asking an elected official about anti-Semitism at a state university funded by the taxpayers of New Jersey.

Rutgers is a state school. The NJ legislature should clean out this nest of vipers. Or maybe the feds.

So very many Jews in the US are DEMOCRATS first and JEWS second...or even third. I cannot fathom why they side with a political party that supports those who would harm them.

Liberals first, Jews second! Thus it will always be. They continue to believe that the Democrat Party is the party of the little guy. Like Mark Twain said, all the facts in the world won’t change the mind of an idiot.

Anti-Semitism is rife in dimmocrat dominated cities, yet Trump and his supporters are supposed to be the bigots? Leftists really have no rational thought processes. Somebody somewhere starts an "accepted truth" about a conservative (Bush 43 is dolt, Rush and Trump are racists, etc.) and they unthinkingly repeat it ad nauseum, any evidence to the contrary notwithstanding. Then they accuse conservatives of being mind-numbed unthinking neanderthals who only think as Rush or Fox news tell them.

It seems this is discrimination in it truest sense. If so, then perhaps any federal dollars Rutgers receives should go away.

Straight away I have a problem with a sentence that says "Interfaith" and "Prophet Muhammad" and "Muzlims4Peace" that want to ban or overcharge Jews. Why anti-Semitic, anti-American Rashida is still in Congress is beyond me. Nothing good can be accomplished with this group.

In 1962, the man who was to become famous as Senator Daniel P. Moynihan wrote his “Guiding Principles for Federal Architecture.” These mandated that “major emphasis should be placed on the choice of designs that embody the finest contemporary American architectural thought,” and that “Design must flow from the architectural profession to the Government and not vice versa.” (Snip) This, perhaps, would not have been so disastrous had the architectural profession been led by figures such as Brunelleschi or Christopher Wren, but it was not. One afternoon in 1992, I visited a friend at his quarters on Tyndall Air Force Base. We ate burgers and swapped stories, and then he looked at the clock and turned on the radio. “You gotta hear this guy!” he said with a confident grin. I doubted that. I had tired of “shock jock” DJ schtick by the time I was 20. Still, Mike was a good friend who made very good burgers, so I prepared to politely endure the performance. Mike’s grin remained as I heard, for the first time, Rush Limbaugh’s diligent employment of the talent God loaned him.

Some conservatives, rejoicing that impeachment turned into yet another of #TheResistance’s political train wrecks and that President Trump is likely to be reelected by a bigger margin than in 2016, expect that a chastened ruling class will return to respecting the rest of us. They are mistaken. Trump’s reelection, by itself, cannot protect us. The ruling class’s intolerance of the 2016 election’s results was intolerance of us. (Snip) Trump notwithstanding, this class will rule henceforth as it has in the past three years. So long as its hold on American institutions continues to grow, and they retain millions of clients, elections won’t really matter.

How will Donald Trump spend the windfall of political space resulting from the busted impeachment effort? It now appears that the Senate is ready to put an end to Rep. Adam Schiff’s (D-Calif.) vanity project. The “resistance” will require approximately six weeks to lick its wounds and re-manufacture outrage over yet another Trump “scandal.” In the meanwhile, an exhausted Congress and media cannot easily pivot to another offensive. The president should use this critical breathing space immediately to correct some of the many outrages perpetrated by his opponents. Yes, as a matter of fact, I do have a wish list. Commute Paul Manafort’s sentence.

Scientists recently published images of brain scans on young children that demonstrate the effects of reading versus using screens. In the scans of children who spent more time with books than screens (less than an hour of screen time a day), there was a concentration of white matter focused in the center of the brain. For the scans of children who spent more time with screens (more than an hour a day), this white matter was scattered. (Snip)As one would expect, concentrated white matter invariably results in better cognitive performance in the kids who stay off screens: they focus better, learn faster, and show greater mental flexibility and creativity.

Democrats are desperately trying to get John Bolton to testify in the Senate trial to hear what he has to say about President Trump and Ukraine, in the hopes they can make up for their weak case for impeachment with some brand new bombshell that will turn the tide against Trump. Bolton was asked if he planned to meet with President Zelensky, and what messaged he planned to bring to him.

This report by Chris Stewart of Brightbeam is a blockbuster. It is titled: “The Secret Shame: How America’s Most Progressive Cities Betray Their Commitment to Educational Opportunity For All.” Stewart is a liberal activist from Minnesota who undertook to find out why the Twin Cities’ left-wing public schools have some of the country’s worst achievement gaps between white and minority (black and Indian) students. Stewart compared achievement by race in a number of cities that he classified as progressive or conservative. The results didn’t surprise me, but they shocked Stewart. Conservative cities (Snip) consistently did a better job of closing student achievement gaps–sometimes, to zero–than progressive cities.

I do not trust emotional reactions to events. In my experience, visceral reactions are a poor guide to action, and when I recognize that I’m responding emotionally to events, I step back and consider what facts are better brought to bear on the issue than are my immediate feelings. In fact, I’m not alone in thinking emotional reasoning is a kind of cognitive disorder. Watching the impeachment theater (or rather reading about it to save time and avoid being influenced by the hypnotic effect of television) I’ve concluded that the congressional Democrats and their base live in a postfactual “inner child” world of fact-free enthusiasms and conniption fits.

Now that as many as six serious Democratic candidates remain in the race, pundits increasingly believe the party is headed for a brokered convention. Hold on to your hats if that happens, because it’s even more complicated than it sounds. Presidential nominating conventions used to be “brokered” because the delegates were largely appointed by — and loyal to — political bosses. Delegates voted on multiple ballots as rivals vied for the bosses’ favor, making the quadrennial events the political equivalent of reality television.
