Lindsey Graham, other Republicans
blast Rush Limbaugh over Buttigieg
'kissing his husband' remarks

Original Article

Posted By: Ribicon, 2/13/2020 6:16:54 PM

Washington—Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh drew bipartisan condemnation Thursday for saying the country won’t elect Pete Buttigieg president because he’s been “kissing his husband” on stage after debates. Limbaugh’s comments came eight days after President Donald Trump awarded him the nation’s top civilian honor during the State of the Union address. The president said, among other things, that the tribute recognized the millions of people a day the host speaks to and inspires. Limbaugh, a staunch Trump ally who recently announced he has advanced lung cancer, made the remarks on his nationally syndicated radio show. Buttigieg has finished in the top

Comments:

Hey, hold up; Pete Buttigieg is gay? Gross!

Stop it, Lindsey. Rush was right. I saw the photo. It was a gagger. Is this something Petey has to do to prove himself to his husband, or is just pandering to the LGBTXYZ crowd? Whatever, he is looking to be elected by ALL the people. This is just plain bad optics… Question: Is wife Petey looking to be the first female president?

What he said: “They’re saying, ‘OK, how’s this going to look?’” Limbaugh said Wednesday, imagining Democrats’ thinking. “Thirty-seven-year-old gay guy kissing his husband on stage, next to Mr. Man, Donald Trump.’” Rush calls him as he sees ‘em. He is a pragmatist. Any pragmatist knows that all voters do not see Petey and Chasten as a great love story that must be demonstrated every time Petey is in public.

Yea, the Left...and apparently some others...just can't understand why everyone in the country isn't as "woke" as they. Many people who object to homosexuality due to their religious beliefs won't vote for Peter. Many people who believe homosexuality indicates mental illness probably won't vote for Peter. Many people who are homophobes probably won't vote for Peter. That's a very large group of people. That, I think, is what Rush was saying...

Whoa. That’s a lie. I listened to the program on a day this week Rush did not say that. He said that some of those on left are asking how do you explain President Trump to their children. And Rush said something to the effect of well how do you explain Pete kissing a man to your children? Showed the photo. He said, as I recall, that Mayor Pete does it often and it might not always go over well. Rush said nothing about whether it would make an affect on the being elected or not.

The whole purpose of the GOP is to provide controlled opposition to the left and then, after a suitable period, to endorse the beliefs and policies of the left. They opposed homosexual "marriage" and now they condemn anyone who appears to criticize or question it. The GOP was the party of small government and now they vote on budgets and bills that expand government influence into every corner of our lives. They were "budget hawks" and now they vote yes on spending bills that produce trillion dollar deficits. They ran on overturning Obamacare but when presented with the first genuine opportunity to repeal it they vote to keep it in place. They campaign on restricting immigration - both legal and illegal - then vote to keep the borders open. Is there anything that the GOP has managed to conserve (other than their own sinecures and status)? The leftist dimrats are the progressive destruction of the nation with the throttle all the way open. The GOP is the progressive destruction of the nation in 2nd gear.

Buttigieg's gay marriage is actually all about anti-marriage and dissolution of the family. Although I doubt he has studied it enough to know it. He's just one of the ignorant travelers. Reading back in the history of the gay marriage movement reveals it had it's roots in about 1920. The era of the professors of Margaret Mead is approximately where the beginning was though I think it even preceded them. At that time it was an anti-marriage movement. As recently as a decade ago several leaders of the gay marriage movement admitted in a barely covered CSPAN event that their purpose of supporting gay marriage was to eventually destroy marriage. Coincidentally the communist also wanted to destroy marriage since the family and religion was contrary to total subservience to the state. So I would bet it started as a suggestion back during Marx.

He may be right because most people are not happy to see PDA by gays, especially in politics. Still, he shouldn't be saying it. It is unfortunate that people can't just be themselves and not be publically criticized (or even killed) for it. Before you jump on me, please note that I had a friend who was murdered on his way home from a work gathering simply for being gay. He didn't look it. He didn't publically act out on it, but some bigoted young punks figured it out and beat him to death, and he was a big, tall man. Bigotry is ignorance and its evil.

This is exactly why Rush is Rush. He's got the guts to say what other people only think and are afraid to say. Its not a criticism of homosexuality. It is a basic sensitivity and understanding of how the heterosexual majority of ordinary people will respond when confronted with public displays of affection between same sex persons. Maybe in 20 years or so with enough cable shows and movies making homosexual affection commonplace this visceral reaction will dissipate but as of today it is very real. It is especially prevalent in the black community and denying the impact of this on Democrat voters is folly. That said, I don't think Mayor Pete will get the nomination for a variety of other reasons. In particular, Bernie Sanders has a lock on the leftist radical wing of the party and Bloomberg is going to buy the rest of the party. If I were Rush I'd have waited until Mayor Pete was the Democrat nominee to point out the problem.

Take note of any "Republicans" or "Conservatives" that go along with the media's story and condemn Rush for these kinds of comments. Rush is making an observation about the electorate in the US, and he has a valid viewpoint. He did not say that he personally approved or disapproved. Anyone that condemns Rush for these comments and claim to be on his side cannot and should not be trusted.

Rush is clearly more in tune with average Americans than our elected officials. Hollywood and liberals have been pushing homosexuality as “normal” for years when nothing could be farther from the truth. The fact is less than 5% of our population Is homosexual. I, along with most Americans, are absolutely grossed out to see two men or women kissing. I’m not homophobic, just do your business in private and don’t tell me about it! "Buttigieg was a U.S. Navy intelligence officer in Afghanistan, is a Harvard graduate and was a Rhodes scholar at Oxford University in England." As a former Army NCO I respect his service. I think Mayor Pete is a smart guy in the theoretical sense, but these credentials show me nothing considering his dad was the Marxist in Chief for years at Notre Dame, etc. and that 'influential people' get their kids admitted to 'prestigious universities' not on their abilities. In a more disrespectful tone.. There is no difference between Mayor Pete and Bernie Sanders except his Obama-like abilities to cover his actual beliefs in public.

#18- Correct. Here is the transcript of Rush’s comment on February 11, 2020: “So, he says Trump causes problems for parents. What about that? If you’re not watching on the Dittocam, what it is, a picture of Mayor Pete kissing his husband, which he does frequently.” There is no mention of the country not electing Pete Buttigieg. #32- Agree, however, concern goes beyond a bedroom in the White House; serious concern should be for the “heart and soul” of this country. Because of homosexuality, God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. (Genesis 19) Homosexuality is an abomination to God. (Genesis19:5, Leviticus18:22,20:13, Deuteronomy22:5,23:18, Judges19:22-23, Romans1:26-27, 1Corinthians6:9-10, 2Peter6-11, Jude6-8, Revelation21:5-8,22:14-15) #37- Absolutely. Marriage between a man and a woman was instituted by God with Adam and Eve. (Genesis 2:24)

Being political correct all the time is an illness. Fact is, the majority of people in this country if really pressed on the issue and honest about their views of homosexuality would find something really wrong about it. This doesn't mean being mean to those who are homosexual. It means just not going along with the political correct idea that it's normal.

Utah lawmakers voted Tuesday to put new regulations on pornography and remove some on polygamy in separate proposals moving quickly through the Legislature in the deeply conservative state. Senators voted unanimously to change state law to remove the threat of jail time for consenting adult polygamists, a step that supporters argue will free people in communities that practice plural marriage to report abuses, like children being taken as wives, without fear of prosecution. A majority of people in Utah belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which had an early history of polygamy but has forbidden it for more than a century.

South Bend, Ind.—When residents of this city’s impoverished West Side reflect on Pete Buttigieg’s two terms as mayor, a few things come to mind: A spike in violent crime, development that largely ignored the African American community and how their only well-lit street is the one that leads to Notre Dame University. So how, they wonder, can Buttigieg possibly be trusted to run the country?(Snip) But some in South Bend describe Buttigieg’s mayoralty as a nightmare during which FBI data show that violent crimes surged from 622 in 2012, his first year, to 1,088 in 2018, the latest for which statistics are available.

Justice Department employees overwhelmingly contribute to Democrats, a trend that has become even more lopsided since Barack Obama’s presidential inauguration, according to a campaign finance research organization. In the 2016 election cycle, Justice employees gave $438,077 to Hillary Clinton’s Democratic presidential campaign, nearly 20 times the $23,874 they gave to Republican Donald Trump, according to OpenSecrets.org, an arm of the Center for Responsive Politics that crunched the numbers based on Federal Election Commission reports. Overall, Justice workers gave $819,454 to Democrats and $126,929 to Republicans in that cycle. And in the 2018 midterm-election cycle, Justice employees donated $474,690 to Democrats and $126,902 to Republicans.

She was one of many who traveled to the Plymouth waterfront to express disgust over the overnight damage to the landmark and other waterfront monuments by vandals wielding cans of spray paint. Police Chief Michael Botieri said Plymouth Rock, the Pilgrim Maiden statue, a memorial granite bench and at least four of the Scallop Roll statues scattered about the waterfront by the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce were tagged with paint. Nearly seven years after she exited New Jersey politics, the state’s first female Democratic Party candidate for governor is speaking out about incidents of sexual harassment she says she kept secret for decades. In an op-ed published Monday on HuffPost, former state Sen. Barbara Buono said she was not prepared to deal with “predatory behavior ranging from overt assault to casual verbal misogyny” during her 20 years in state politics. “I put my head down and charged ahead, bobbing and weaving as I went. I became an expert at deflecting and pretending outrageous behavior had not just occurred,” Buono, 66, wrote.

The Environmental Protection Agency forgot a crucial word in its well wishes on Washington's Birthday, appearing to snub Donald Trump by celebrating presidents "past and future" and not the one presently sitting in the White House. On Twitter, the agency posted the message: "EPA joins the nation this #PresidentsDay in celebrating all our presidents past and future."(Snip) But the message follows the president's dramatic cuts to the agency in his $4.8 trillion budget proposal, which would gut the EPA's annual budget by 27 per cent from $9 billion in 2020 to $6.6 billion in 2021 while laying off more than 1,500 employees.

Just beyond the towering Anheuser-Busch Brewery, whose iconic eagle placard has overlooked Newark Liberty International Airport and bustling Routes 1&9 for two decades, there lies a nondescript lot that has waited even longer to be removed of its harmful chemicals. The water beneath roughly four-acre plot of land wedged between a junkyard, warehouses and railroad tracks is toxic—a lasting legacy from a previous life as the home of the White Chemical Corporation. In May 1990, the chemical company was raided by law enforcement authorities searching for hazardous waste illegally kept on the property.

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection early on Tuesday after decades of sexual abuse claims within one of the country's largest youth organizations. The move filed in Delaware bankruptcy court halts the hundreds of lawsuits the BSA is facing that allege sexual misconduct by people within the 110-year-old organization over the years. Sexual abuse settlements had reportedly strained the Boy Scouts' finances, with states passing laws last year so victims from long-ago abuse can sue for damages.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush told a Presidents Day audience of investors and money managers that it’s time for a return to civility in the nation’s politics. And the man who was ousted early from the Republican primaries of 2016 gave a decidedly mixed review of the first term of President Donald Trump, who bruised him often on the campaign trail. Bush spoke Monday to an audience of several hundred investors in Hollywood at a conference sponsored by the financial firm Noble Capital Markets of Boca Raton. During the speech and onstage interview with author Brant Pinvidic

Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who won the Democratic presidential primary in New Hampshire last week, is arguing that “the United States must find…the moral conviction to choose…democratic socialism.” “Today,” he said in a June 12, 2019 speech at George Washington University, “we have a demagogue in the White House who, for cheap political gain, is attempting to deflect the attention of the American people away from the real crises that we face and, instead, is doing what demagogues always do--and that is divide people up and legislate hatred.” (Video)

We voting Americans need to sort out our thinking and do so before next fall. I am so tired of hearing reasonable, intelligent people express anti-Trump attitudes based on truly flimsy grounds. A relative said to me that she’d never vote for Trump because “he’s an a**hole.” I have had other people voice similar concerns in more genteel terms -– they don’t like his tweeting, his braggadocio, his unpredictability. Okay, okay. At first, I didn’t either. Now, it’s true that Trump can be a jerk. But so was Julius Caesar. So was Winston Churchill. So was George Patton. Leftist MSNBC host Chris Matthews said on Tuesday that if socialist Bernie Sanders wins the Democratic nomination for president that Democrats will lose 49 states to President Donald Trump. While talking about how the other candidates are not attacking Sanders’ ideology, Matthews said, “They’re just pandering to the Bernie people and you know what pandering gets you? Nothing. It certainly doesn’t get you respect.” “They’ve got to get out there and say I disagree with socialism; I believe in the markets; I think he’s wrong,” Matthew said. “I think you’ll never get it done and this country will never go that direction, by the way we’ll lose forty nine states.”
