Liberal Groups and High-Powered Lawyers
Swarm Detroit to Keep Dead Voters on Rolls

Original Article

Liberal groups and high-powered New York attorneys swooped into Detroit this week to help the city fight a lawsuit over its voter roll irregularities, which included thousands of deceased individuals appearing on the rolls. The League of Women Voters of Michigan and its Detroit chapter filed a motion to intervene on behalf of Detroit city clerk Janice Winfrey and Director of Elections George Azzouz. Winfrey and Azzouz were sued in December by the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), an election integrity group. The officials had ignored PILF's requests to inspect Detroit's voter registrations after the group discovered thousands of ineligible voters on the city's rolls.

Over the years I couldn't work out why the League of Women Voters were so involved in presidential debates. And, frankly, I wondered why there was a League of Women Voters so long after women's suffrage had passed. But I was suspicious of them like I was all 'specialty' political groups (NAACP et al). My instincts were correct - they are another lefty cabal hiding in plain sight claiming to be on the side of the good and the just.

Wouldn't want to disenfranchise the graveyard caucus. Of course, (as claimed by progressives) there's no evidence of dead people voting (maybe possibly due to no investigations) - just like there is no evidence of grass in my lawn or sand at the beach (apparently, there have been no investigations of those things either).

The Detroit voter rolls have been known to be fraudulent for years. In 2016, after Trump won the election, the Dems were shouting for recounts because they couldn't believe they had last (and after all that cheating, too!) Jill Stein collected money to pay for a recount of the state of Michigan. That recount was started, but then rather abruptly stopped. It turns out that the voter fraud in Detroit was so bad, it would be exposed by the recount results. About half the voter precincts in Detroit polled anywhere from 100% to 120% of their registered voters. That's right, they had 20% more votes counted than were registered to vote--and registration is so easy and without the need for proof of citizenship, that you can actually register your pet! So, the Dems quickly and quietly stopped the recount.

This is a Federal Election. The DOJ has every right to intervene to assure voter rolls match registered voters. The article doesn't say whether this lawsuit is filed in State or Federal Court. The SOS of Michigan has a limited say in a Federal setting.

Many make the mistaken assumption that the "Republicans" really care if they win. They like being a minority party. They can still revel in the graft, and point at the Democrats as the reason that they don't get things done. "Why, we'd change it if we could, but those Democrats are in power. Support us, and when we win we'll take care of it, you betcha!". And when they're actually the majority, they also do nothing because "those Democrats are just too obstructive.". The pattern is obvious! It's two sides of the same coin. It's a big club, of people with barely over $100k/yr salaries becoming multimillionaires in just a few years in office. And you ain't in the club. Don't be overly misled thinking they really want to change anything. They don't.

The League of Lying Leftist Voters "volunteer" to run polling places in my area, so that they can assist in the vote fraud that always takes place in New Mexico. Years ago one of them outright lied to me when I asked how to vote for a write-in candidate. She told me to vote as usual in the booth, and then I could vote for my write-in candidate when I came out. First time I had ever voted... When I exited the voting booth and asked where to vote for the write-in candidate, she told me it was too late.... I had already voted, and get the hell out... (not in so many words, but that was her attitude, as though the polling place was only for the demoncrat candidates.)

We have nothing against South Bend, Indiana. In fact, two members of our opinion staff were born and raised in that city. And we all know that it's no proving ground for the presidency. More generally speaking, service as a small-town mayor is not in itself sufficient training for the Oval Office. Pete Buttigieg, who served two terms as the mayor of Indiana's fourth-largest city, begs to differ. "Pragmatic and value-driven leadership — it's what mayors practice every day," he said in September. "We need a lot more of that in Washington right now.” The following month, Buttigieg said, "There’s no job

Whatever other virtues might attach to the pardons issued today by President Trump, there is also this: They will remind our overwrought Democrats of one of the most far-sighted features of our Constitution. It is that when it comes to the fate of those who are, or could be, adjudged guilty of offenses against the United States, the final dispensation belongs to the President. He doesn’t even have to explain himself. That’s something to bear in mind as leftist Democrats corral former federal prosecutors to raise an alarum against Mr. Trump’s criticisms of the prosecution of Roger Stone. In this post, I noted that the Culinary Workers Union, a big player in Nevada Democratic politics, is attacking Bernie Sanders over his “Medicare for All” proposal. I figured that these attacks would harm Sanders’s Nevada caucuses campaign. However, the Union hasn’t endorsed another candidate. Thus, to the extent that its attacks on Sanders dissuade members from supporting the Vermont socialist, these members are likely to split their vote among other candidates, thereby decreasing the harm to Sanders. Polling in Nevada seems to confirm this analysis. Sanders leads, but his lead isn’t as large as it likely would have been had the Culinary Workers Union not blasted him on health insurance.

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell cited a record 11-year expansion, an economy “resilient to the global headwinds,” “near half-century lows for more than a year” regarding unemployment, and how “GDP rose at a moderate rate over the second half of last year” in his appearances before Congress last week. But his more oblique warnings about what should happen if a recession occurs came as the most interesting part of his words to the Senate Banking Committee and the House Financial Services Committee. He essentially told Congress that economic gimmickry in sunny financial times leaves policymakers with few tools to combat a recession once the clouds roll into town.
