I'm just a plain woman from Kentucky and if I was on a winning team, I'd jump at the chance to visit the White House. I don't care who is the president, I'd go and enjoy myself.

The Born-Alive Survivors Protection Act is not about restricting abortions but about giving newborns a chance to survive no matter where they are born, said Sen. Ben Sasse, the bill’s lead co-sponsor, at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Tuesday. During the hearing, called “The Infant Patient: Ensuring Appropriate Medical Care for Children Born Alive,” Republican senators questioned why a baby born in a hospital should be treated differently than a baby born in an abortion facility. Democrats, lacking an answer, changed the subject. Thirteen committee senators heard from five female witnesses, three who shared powerful testimony and two who expressed concerns about the bill.

Bless his heart. Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg was roasted on Twitter for his failed attempt at slinging Texas slang while pandering to voters in Houston. At the time, Bloomberg unconvincingly bragged that President Trump is scared of running against him. “Mini-Mike”– who looked so nervous that he’d worry the warts off a frog — made the claims while speaking to the Harris County Democratic Party. Bloomberg awkwardly stammered as he read off the teleprompter: “Now if I were from Texas, I might say Donald Trump is scared as a cat at the dog pound. But since I’m from New York, I’ll put it this way:

An Instagram video posted by Christian activist Rachel Faulkner-Brown shows Trump bowing his head in prayer as a group of women pray over him. In their prayer, the ladies thanked God for giving President Trump the courage to stand up against the enemies who seek to destroy him. They also asked God to protect and strengthen him for the battles that lie ahead. “Holy Father, we thank you so much for this evening. We thank you for this man of God.

Trump War Room, a Twitter account managed by President Donald Trump’s campaign, has taken aim at Democrat presidential hopefuls with the release of a series of Valentine’s Day cards that mock certain campaign flaws and mishaps. Those targeted by the Trump campaign include former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. “Send your loved ones a Valentine from Team Trump,” the campaign wrote in a tweet. “Featuring your favorite soon-to-be EX (presidential candidates).”

Joe Biden has managed to go from runaway frontrunner for the Democratic nomination to persona non grata in a matter of weeks, and now top Democrat donors are calling on him to end his campaign and let Mike Bloomberg try to fix the chaos that has been made of the Democratic primaries. Biden was in New York City Thursday night with deep-pocketed liberal donors hoping to raise some quick cash to save his campaign, but it might be too late as Bloomberg seems ready to swoop in and siphon away Biden's support from the so-called moderate wing of the party. “I feel sorry for Biden,” said Leon Cooperman,

Andrew Napolitano, who is hardly a cheerleader for Team Trump, told Tucker Carlson Thursday evening that Tomeka Hart, the woman who served as foreperson on the jury during Roger Stone's trial, could face jail time if it's determined she lied about her bias when she was selected to serve on the jury. Stone was convicted of seven counts of making false statements, witness tampering and obstruction, but Hart, a former Democratic congressional candidate, is rabidly anti-Trump and had no business being on the jury, let alone foreperson. “Is it your view a problem that the foreman of the jury in Roger Stone’s trial turned out to be a former Democratic congressional candidate

Hope is on the way for some 400 Americans trapped in coronavirus quarantine aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship off the coast of Japan — the US government is preparing to evacuate them, according to a report. The State Department is arranging for two planes to transport some 380 US citizens from the cruise liner back to the US as early as Sunday, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday night, citing an official from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Democrats are vowing to repeal the GOP’s 2017 tax reform bill, starting with raising the corporate income tax. The Democrat-controlled House Ways and Means Committee recently held a hearing laying the groundwork for this tax increase, falsely claiming that the corporate rate was lowered at the expense of middle-class families. Reality belies this rhetoric. The corporate tax reduction from 35% to 21% has benefited families and workers alike by growing the economy, raising wages, and creating new jobs. It’s no coincidence that, in the two years since the tax cut, unemployment has dropped to a 50-year low.

It changes depending on the outlet and the hour. But one thing seems almost certain: U.S. Attorney John Durham is wrapping up his investigation into the origins of the Russia collusion probe because the same narrative machine that kicked in to give us impeachment has now demanded that Barr testify in front of the House Judiciary Committee in March. Democratic presidential candidate Sen. In an email to supporters on Friday, Warren's campaign said it could no longer "count on the media to cover our campaign fairly." It argued that other candidates, such as former vice president Joe Biden, received more coverage despite posting less impressive results in early primary states.

New findings strongly suggest that, thanks in part to left-wing Judge Amy Berman Jackson, convicted former Trump campaign official and longtime political consultant Roger Stone’s guilt wasn’t determined last year by an unbiased jury but rather by one stocked with partisan left-wing operatives. Among the alleged operatives was former Tennessee Democrat congressional candidate Tomeka Hart, a far-left activist who’d been posting negative stories about President Donald Trump and his alleged (and since-debunked) Russian collusion crimes to social media long before she was selected to serve on Stone’s jury last November.

When Donald Trump won his historic upset victory in 2016, media outlets briefly turned to the "forgotten" men and women of rural America and those in once-great American cities now crumbling. The "Great Revolt," as Salena Zito explains it, describes a political realignment aimed at revitalizing broken communities. Yet according to a groundbreaking new film, the true answer to urban decay, broken families, and ballooning debt from dependence on social programs isn't more government but a return to the traditional sources of meaning: faith, family, work, and community. Filmmaker Christopher Rufo traveled to three crumbling American cities — Youngstown, Ohio; Memphis, Tenn.; and Stockton, Calif. —

Now that as many as six serious Democratic candidates remain in the race, pundits increasingly believe the party is headed for a brokered convention. Hold on to your hats if that happens, because it’s even more complicated than it sounds. Presidential nominating conventions used to be “brokered” because the delegates were largely appointed by — and loyal to — political bosses. Delegates voted on multiple ballots as rivals vied for the bosses’ favor, making the quadrennial events the political equivalent of reality television. You could never be sure which governor or senator would be voted off the island and which would become the ultimate survivor.
