Former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, former Vice President Joe Biden, and Sen. Bernie Sanders stood on the debate stage last week, and they all dropped the ball. Astoundingly, all three questioned the necessity and legitimacy of killing Qassem Soleimani, a violent and notorious architect of terrorism. The brutal Iranian commander of the Quds Force, the wing of a designated terrorist organization, was responsible for the murder of nearly 1,000 U.S. soldiers and thousands of civilians. Soleimani’s fingerprints are on Hamas’s brutal targeting of Israeli citizens.

It's not surprising. Demonrats hate the military. Every time this country has to suffer a destructive demonrat as President, they immediately cut the military back to pre-WWI assets. It's bad enough that this country imports jihadis who won't comply with US law (thanks to Barry), do you want them living unfettered next to you?

They hate America. The idea of a free, pluralistic country (that cherishes nourishes ) individualism, initiative and independence. The armed forces protect the exceptionalism that emanates from this culture, hence are the subject of their wrath.

And they're going to do everything they can to make sure that military ballots aren't counted.

No. They will fill criminal charges against them for firing their weapons.

I guess that they noticed that the civilian coup attempt against Trump didn't work out using lies and deception.
A military coup uses tanks and guns.

All I get is page not found--error 404. Is a subscription to the Washington Examiner required to read this article or is it some security issue on my computer?

I had the same problem #8. Perhaps someone here can fix the link. I don’t know how. In the meantime, I’ll go to the Examiner website to read it.

If you are going to give the store away with freebies you can't have a strong military draining the coffers.
Obozo used the military for social experiments and rules of engagement that protected his Muslim brothers. Obama was the right man at the right time so the military was a toy to be played with. People who vote for communist liberals aren't going to volunteer and serve in the military so why have it.

If one has the backs of our military, one must ask the basic question: After two decades in Iraq and Afghanistan, and four decades of engagement with Iran's theocracy, why are American troops still there acting as de facto mercenaries for the effete EU to protect its oil supply lines, and for the Saudis and other moderate oil states who don't want to get their rich hands dirty? Why are U.S. troops in Syria? Why is the U.S. still heavily funding NATO? Why are US assets based there? Why is South Korea important today? Why do we never fight for victory? Why do we seemingly never leave anywhere? Our national interests in these places are...?
Our military is a very expensive hobby for our nation, both at home and abroad. Beyond the money expense, it invests real lives in what are supposed to be vital national interests. As time passes, these immediate interests fade and the mission neverending, like the legendary soldier guarding that bench in the Hermitage long after the fresh paint dried and the Czar was disposed, never having been relieved. If we truly have the backs of our military we will take honest stock and start making military decisions instead of political ones...deployment and application of assets, and that includes all political stripes.

This is the big pitfall of marching in step to the democrat drummer. When one is stupid, all are stupid. How is the military going to feel about protecting their CIC if he happened to be one of these human rejects? Big violent march on Washington coming? Rotsa Ruck.

Name a war where we won all the battles, but the Media and the Dems claim we lost.
It starts with a V.

Their sole motivator is securing power. The military don't vote for them, so they abandon the military. They have no values or principles beyond their own self-promotion.
I hope the independents and rational democrats keep this in mind in November.

#13 While in theory I agree whole heartedly that our military should not be the world police. However, we’ve gotten ourselves bound up in treaties and alliances enacted by previous administrations that we can’t just back out of in one term of an administration. I look to President Trump, should he win the upcoming election, to continue pushing our allies in the Middle East and Europe and elsewhere, to deal with their own internal and external struggles with their neighbors.
President Trump realizes that NATO and others need to be weaned from their WW2 legacy mindset of relying on our military strength and readiness in times of political unrest. His focus on trade agreements with Mexico and Canada shows that he is trying but pulling out of the Middle East lock stock and barrel is not as easy as it sounds.

Buttigieg, Biden, and Bernie Sanders admitted they would gladly have the back of any Communist, anywhere in this country or the most rabid red sickle regime on the planet (or any other planet). What is NOT disgusting about it?

GOd help us! Weren't the Clintons and Obamas enough with their disrespect of out military? Are we going to have more of these slugs on the White House. If I were a young man, I would not go into the service under these kind of people.
