During an interview broadcast on Monday’s edition of “CNN Tonight,” 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden stated that President Trump “is obsessed with me, and he should be, with good reason. Because I will beat him.” Biden said, “Look, he’s deathly afraid to face me. Have you ever — you can’t answer it I know, but rhetorical question, have you ever seen a sitting president spend as much time, money, and effort, including risking being impeached and thrown out of office to decide to eliminate one of his potential opponents in a primary — I mean, that are running in a primary for the general election?

Joe Biden is about as threatening as a yapping Chihuahua. If any other complete idiot in a high place had bragged about corruption with a Ukrainian connection, I'm sure the administration would have looked into it prior to releasing aid to the new Ukrainian government. It just so happened that Biden and his family were as dirty as the day is long.

Biden is really quite a pitiable character, but he and his family have been well paid for political influence, so my sympathy is limited to his declining intellect, not that he ever had an intellect to speak of. His family hasn't the heart to tell him to come home, and he's the absolute last to recognize reality. Truman once said that a statesman was a dead politician. Biden's statesmanship is unintentionally amusing. He's an idiot.

As I’ve said before, the Democrat/mainstream media industrial complex all love to gush about the supposed political prowess of failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. But those of us in the cheap seats who marvel at her uncanny ability stick her foot in her mouth at every opportunity see things from a much more realistic perspective. Over the last few months, Clinton has had the audacity to lecture people against “witness intimidation” in the midst of speculation that Clinton pal Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself (some have suggested the Clinton machine had a hand in his death). In December when the articles of impeachment were announced,

The Democrat Party is deathly afraid of Bernie Sanders. The Party solons may like the enthusiasm and engagement of his base but greatly fear the possibility that he will lead the Democrat ticket this year. Why is that so? Because he isn’t even a Democrat – and has never been one, except beginning in 2015 for political expediency purposes in order to run in Democrat Party presidential primaries. He is a lifelong and self-described “Democratic Socialist” although he is registered as an “Independent.” And he has ripped off the masks of the Democrat Party to reveal the socialism

As my colleague Nick Arama reported here, it was a great night for Trump. With 97% of the New Hampshire primary results in, the President is at 85.7%. In other words, he’s now in Reagan territory. And Tuesday’s Republican turnout, currently around 120,000, far exceeds that of any other incumbent president seeking reelection. Although this is certainly good news, Republicans shouldn’t get too cocky because the Democrats had a very good night as well. The most updated figures (97%) show that 283,440 Democratic votes had been cast. Based on that number, 100% would bring it to approximately 292,200, which is significantly higher than Democratic turnout in 2016

In a telling way, the current political scene is a replay of Herman Melville's 1851 novel, Moby Dick, with Donald Trump being the great white whale and the Democrats playing the role of the vengeful Captain Ahab. In the story, whaling captain Ahab is obsessed with killing Moby Dick. This is traced back to an event a year earlier on a whaling expedition in the Pacific. Then Moby Dick took one of Ahab's legs, "as a mower a blade of grass in the field." From then on, Ahab wore a peg leg carved from the jawbone of a sperm whale. The experience traumatized Ahab.

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire -- For a brief moment, concerned looks crossed the faces of some Elizabeth Warren supporters gathered for her election-night event in a cavernous building near the Manchester airport. Two of the key witnesses in the Trump impeachment have been removed from their positions. Gordon Sondland is out as Ambassador to the European Union. Lt. Col Alexander Vindman has been reassigned from the National Security Council to the Pentagon. Democrats are crying foul, of course. But was it improper for Trump to take these personnel actions? Sondland’s case seems easy to me. Ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the President. Trump lost confidence in Sondland. Thus, his removal made sense. Vindman’s case is somewhat different and less easy for me. Unlike Sondland, he’s a career government employee and military man.
