Barr announces sweeping new

Charging that so-called "sanctuary" cities that protect illegal immigrants are jeopardizing domestic security, Attorney General Bill Barr announced a slew of additional sanctions that he called a "significant escalation" against left-wing local and state governments that obstruct the "lawful functioning of our nation's immigration system." Speaking at the National Sheriff’s Association 2020 Winter Legislative and Technology Conference in Washington, D.C., Barr said the Justice Department would immediately file multiple lawsuits against sanctuary jurisdictions for unconstitutionally interfering with federal immigration enforcement, and implement unprecedented national reviews of left-wing sanctuary governments and prosecutors.

This is great news. Seeking injunctions against various political entities and possibly going for criminal charges against some prosecutors who file lower charges against illegal aliens than against Americans for identical crimes. Nail them to the wall. Hit them HARD.

How about getting a majority in the house and senate with Donald Trump in the White House next year? Then, pass a law that makes it a felony to obstruct or fail to cooperate with federal immigration law. Put a few of these mayors and city council people in prison for a year might be the only solution to this problem.

There are a lot of countries in the global community where the Rule of Law means nothing. The Rule of Law is what gives us the right to pledge allegiance to God and country where there is "liberty and justice for all", but we're all aware that that concept has become a big joke and it worries and frightens us. Hopefully, with the President's lead, we can get back to being a country where the Rule of Law is respected and obeyed. What countries that are full of chaos thrive? None of them.

So a 'whistleblower' will call Schiff's staff and claim he heard from someone deep inside the White House but not acually on the call but heard forom some one that heard the conversation through a wall that Trump colluded with Barr to break the Santuary City prepossed but Nadless to protect cities from Federal law lack of enforcement and thus the new impeachment begins.

I don't understand. The federal government makes immigration policy--that's settled law. Why hasn't the Supreme Court taken up this issue? Willfully violating federal law (which is supreme) should be met with prosecutions.

D'ya think Barr will get off his ass and do something about the criminals who work for him? I don't believe he will, I believe his entire focus is protecting the DOJ, even the criminal behavior involved with Mueller, the continued persecution of General Flynn, and carter Page. Further, the continuing criminality of the FBI under Wray needs scrutiny. Why is the traitor Comey still on the street?

A comment published last week in Nature, a leading scientific journal, has thrown a monkey wrench into hundreds of studies and media stories that previously predicted dire climate consequences in the future due to increased carbon dioxide (CO2) in our atmosphere. The consequences were predicted by a computer model called Representative Carbon Pathways (RCP), and the worst-case scenario model, RCP8.5, had been cited more than 2,500 times in scientific journals and in hundreds of media stories as the primary need for "urgent action" on climate. Predictions from the RCP8.5 model suggested maximum global temperature increases of nearly 6°C (10.8°F) by the year 2100, shown in Figure 1.

The body took the next step to confirming Brasher Monday by approving the motion with a 46-41 vote,

Two for Warren. And seven for Mayor Pete, the kid from Indiana who shows a modicum of sense.

Every year 3 million visitors make the pilgrimage to Ellis Island. It is estimated nearly forty percent of all Americans can trace their ancestors to the 20 million immigrants that were processed through New York and Ellis Island from 1892 to 1954. These prospective citizens were determined to escape authoritarianism, soul grinding poverty, war and its aftermath, immutable class structures as well as religious and ethnic persecution. Once here they would immerse themselves in learning English and the nation’s founding documents in preparation for the most gut wrenching (passing the oral citizenship test) and emotional (the swearing in ceremony) day in their lives.

Sondland’s case seems easy to me. Ambassadors serve at the pleasure of the President. Trump lost confidence in Sondland. Thus, his removal made sense. Vindman’s case is somewhat different and less easy for me. Unlike Sondland, he’s a career government employee and military man.
