Sen. Joe Manchin slammed fellow Democrat Rep. Jerry Nadler for suggesting that the House would continue investigating President Trump’s conduct regarding Ukraine.
Manchin, who represents West Virginia, appeared Friday on Fox News to discuss his vote to convict Trump on both impeachment charges. Host Bill Hemmer also questioned Manchin on a claim the House Judiciary Committee made that investigators would continue looking into Trump’s conduct.
"They’re crazy if [investigations into Trump over Ukraine] come back," Manchin said. "Well, I’m hoping the president has learned. Mr. President, we are equal powers."

But, Joe. The Schiff Machine of Adam and Jerry love the cameras, and the attention, and the need to feel important and clever. They have the Schumer disease. Never meant a camera they didn't like. They will try again.

Joe you are a big boy and a "prominent" leader in the democrat party. Have you discussed your concerns with Schumer or Pelosi or Nadler himself. Probably not. And you will go along with anything and everything your thug buddies decide. What a loser you are Joe. No guts.

Joe, you know it was a frame up of Trump, and you ratified the POTUS not being able to know the name of, face, or cross examine his accuser, not allowed witnesses, and an impeachment performed in House Intelligence, not House Judiciary, all without a House vote. You ratified that, Joe. It was all a fraud, unconstitutional, factional, and you ratified it, Joe, so you will be voted out next opportunity. Trump will be there to rally against and remove you from office. After everybody in W. Va. owes their job to Trump, W. Va. better show some thanks, because the next Democrat President is going to eliminate all those jobs.

I see both Mitt and Manchin trying to thread the needle to try to say they are on both sides.
Mitt voted against us on one and with us on the other.
Manchin voted against us, but will claim to his conservative voters that he stood up to Nadler.
There's nothing in the middle of the road but a yellow line and dead opossums.

West Virginia voted 68.5% for Trump. That was the highest percentage of all states in the 2016 election. Also, all 55 counties in West Virginia were red. Joe Manchin has chosen to swim against a very strong current. His election success in the Mountain State has ended because West Virginia is Trump country.

Manchin doesn't face the voters again until 2024 when he will be 77 years old. Over four years is an eternity in politics and at 77 he could decide to retire anyhow. I suspect if he does run, he will be re-elected as incumbency is a powerful tool and the impeachment follies will be ancient history.

I thought Joe Manchin was different. Don't pretend to be surprised at Nadler's crazy behavior now, Joe. Not after you voted to support that obscene circus of an Impeachment.

It isn't President Trump who fails to understand Separation of Powers. The Impeachers also know there's Separation. But the Impeachers are totalitarian autocrats: they were and ARE determined to usurp the duly elected President and want to stop his accomplishing anything that might get him re-elected, because when he is re-elected he will continue the restoration of Constitutional order and the liberation of the American people to pursue their self-interest, Happiness, "rightly understood.".
President Trump isn't the one who so lightly considered the Constitution as Obama's 'stuff written on … "the paper". Nor has our President used any of the government organs to pursue and neuter any person or party or organization, unlike what Obama did using the IRS and the EPA.
Nope. It is President Trump who takes seriously his Oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and protect us from all enemies, foreign AND domestic. Nancy Pelosi and her gang of saboteurs are the ones who are trampling over the most fundamental aspect of out legal system: innocent until proven guilty, the right to face one's accuser/s, the right to a vigorous defense.
Given what these Democrats did and what they continue to do to the President, what do you suppose they would feel unconstrained to do to us should they maintain their power and regain the Senate and Presidency?

Nutsy Nadler has hated Trump since the 80s, been working at city, then state, then national level to cause Trump harm for 35+ years.

I thought that Trump's lawyers made the argument for separation of powers quite clearly and made it very clear that it was the democrats in congress who wanted to usurp the President's duties to decide on our foreign policy and hold corrupt politicians accountable no matter what their status is. If being President does not protect you from investigations why should merely running for President immunize you or your family from the same scrutiny?

"unless the president continues using rogue proxies"
Every president uses people outside the government to deliver messages and make connections. There is nothing wrong with it and this is no different.
Manchin makes the case that a dem in a position is a dem, no matter how they may try to wiggle around it. West Virginia, if you want Republican representation, you need to elect a Republican.
West Virginia (Republicans as Governor and in majority of the legislature ) should vote a censure of Manchin.
