Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who made waves as a witness during the Trump impeachment proceedings, was fired Friday by the National Security Council and escorted off of the White House grounds, Fox News has confirmed.
Vindman was on detail to the National Security Council from the Department of Defense, and it is expected he will return there. It comes just two days after President Trump was acquitted in the Senate on the impeachment charges brought by the House last year over his dealings with Ukraine. In a lengthy statement, Vindman’s attorney, David Pressman, confirmed that Vindman had been escorted out of the White House on Friday.

More winning. A news reader said something about 'the Pentagon welcoming him back and "he will be protected from any retribution" '.
He needs some serious career retribution for his traitorous, corrupt actions. And why not his damned brother, too?
Both need to be doing latrine cleanlness surveys in Alaska and maybe in a base in Iraq somewhere.

When command loses confidence or trust in a subordinate, it is time to reassign that subordinate!
Vindman is not to be trusted!

It appears that they are treating this like the reduction in force at NSC that was talked about rather than an outright firing. Vindman will apparently return to the DoD, which had detailed him to the NSC. No mention of where twin brother might land, but neither will be in the WH. Good.

I trust that since Lt Col Vindman, long may he wave, has been sitting in an empty room in the WH sub-sub-basement since his shenanigans in front of the Schiff Show.

Remember this army officer leaked information to the so-called whistle blower, who in turn contacted Adam Schiff. Good riddance Lt Col Vindictive hopefully your brother will be shown the door next!

He has been sitting at a desk too long . For an infantry officer he is fat and out of shape. He needs to lose that double chin.

Future new administrations should use this as the golden example of why when an opposing party takes over the White House, they need to purge 100% of the existing staff. Find them equivalent pay positions elsewhere in the government if they're permanent government personnel, but get them out of the White House and Executive Building. Otherwise they'll spend years having to watch their backs against political traitors.

I wonder if plastic surgery is required to get that chubby pervert total-jerk look.
I would say he’s pompous but he’s too ridiculous in appearance to be convincingly pompous even though he over strains to try to be so.

He's not fired. He was removed from his detail at the NSC. Only his component commander can take further action. My guess: General officer reprimand, special OER, retirement, end of career. I think that's about all we can hope for given that the uniformed chain of command failed to act earlier. However, as I mentioned in another post, it's possible he could get a very public humiliation from the CINC.

Trump should do that to EVERY obama appointee still in service...and don't forget to pull their security clearances...need to escort them out of their offices without any laptops, SD cards, data sticks or papers....

Mr. Vindman in his hearsay speech took aim at investigative journalist John Solomon for what, not reading the nightly news narrative. Mr. Solomon responded with 28 documented facts that countered the prepared scripts by Vindman, Yavonovitch and Taylor. Lucky for them they weren't under oath in a real court of law where this evidence would have been admissible.
