CHICAGO -- The brutal beating of a 68-year-old man by 11 teens on a passenger train here Monday was captured in a disturbing, graphic video obtained by Fox News.
The Chicago Police Department told Fox News the beating is under investigation, but no one is in custody because the victim “was unable to identify his attacker(s) due to his injuries.” A police source told Fox that the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office “wouldn’t touch” the case if the victim can’t identify those accused or is unable to cooperate. When reached about prosecuting the case, state’s attorney's office responded: "We are unable to comment."

I'd be willing to bet a SS check, that had the teens been white and the elderly man black, the Cooks County States Attorneys Office would be on this case like gravy on rice!

Of course they were all white boy scouts! Definitely! Blame it on the disgusting parents, the lousy teachers and the community organizing punks who no doubt want to emulate what the most famous punk did, 'become president'! Well, we saw what that POS 'accomplished'!!!

Be on the lookout for "teens"!
If you spot a "teen" - - report it to your local authorities.
This was a public service announcement.

So we have a security video and umpteen other witnesses on the train and Chi Town Police couldn't be bothered to apprehend these black gimmedat kids? Give me a break. I have ridden the El recently and would agree with other posters that you should not be alone when riding the El.

So, even with video the Attorney's office refuses to prosecute? Maybe the old man is scared of retribution, or maybe the beating caused some memory loss. When is the DOJ gonna go Federal on Chicago's legal system? Be it black on white crime or black on black, the crime needs to be dealt with, especially with video available.
They don't travel in packs to survive #1. They travel in packs to HUNT. They are too cowardly to take on their prey by themselves. Tribal mindset at work here. Not being racist, just observing behavior.

Well I'll be darned you don't see that every day....well actually you do.
You aren't allowed to carry on public transportation in the fine upstanding fiscally responsible law respecting land of honorable politicians known as Illinois. It would seem to me that having to purchase my 2nd amendment right including forcing me to purchase a service from a third party is in conflict with that "shall not be infringed" part but to then tell me I still can't carry where I'm most likely to be attacked is absurdly beyond any minimum threshold of infringement.

The local CBS station had a report yesterday on the increase in crime on the CTA. I don't know if the stats they quote are for crimes on the buses and the L or just the L, either way, the numbers are frightening. In 2016 there were 2,737 reported "incidents" by last year the number was 4,497.

The El and BART seem to have some things in common, including a social teen ridership who regularly engage in (ahem) team-building exercises...
So the "graphic video" does not show enough to make identifications? I sense a shortage of stones, more than a shortage of evidence.

So---since murder victims are unable to identify their assailants, the murderers go free in Cook County? Why aren't the Obamas concerned?
Re-instate the draft. At least that would expose some male teens to a different environment.

Why isn't this a hate crime? And how stupid are Illinois/Cook County voters if they reelect State's Attorney Kim Foxx. She has a viable challenger in the Democrat primary. But he is white, so that eliminates a substantial portion of the voting population.

Posters #6 and #7 have clearly identified the problem. The Crook County DA can't be bothered to prosecute black crime. This clearly gives these feral animals a free pass to do what ever they wish. Frankly I am surprised that there are any Cops left in that miserable hell hole. Why bother?

^^And don't blame the police. It's the Cook County States Attorney--you know, the one who let Jussie Smollett off without so much as a slap on the wrist--that refuses to prosecute. Her name is Kim Foxx. I am going to pull a Democrat ballot so I can vote against her.

The teens could be green with pink polka-dots for all I care. Put the sorry SOBs in the clink. And put their parents in the clink as well. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE to beat someone up like that. None.
Let me tell you this: If the victim were an alderman or a state rep or state senator from Chicago, then the victim would receive justice. In Chicago, there are different rules for different people.

What's this about the attorney's office 'won't touch' the case because the victim can't identify the thugs? This proves how absolutely corrupt and racist the Cook county attorney's office is. It's a white victim and black thugs. Jussie Smollet, a black man, couldn't identify his 'white attackers' but the police and every other official in Chicago left no stone unturned to find out who 'attacked' him.

I thank God every day that I was born in a small southern town. I am sure all small towns in America's heartland are similar. Less crime, less violence and where the police are admired, respected and professional. I cannot imagine having to live in Chicago or any large Dem-controlled city, ride public transport and prohibited from carrying a firearm.

We moved to Chicago in 1967 as my husband did his internship at then Presbyterian St Luke’s hospital. We moved there in June, and I was 7 months pregnant. 2 incidents happened.
I was riding the El downtown with several other wives. Actually 3 incidents. Anyway I was riding the El and there were no seats so I was standing and holding on to a strap. A middle aged nun was nearby sitting. She got up and gave me her seat!!
Next I was walking to a grocery store in the area of Pres St Luke’s, along with another wife. This was perhaps a month later. August in Chicago and very hot. As we walked out of the air conditioned store I became very faint and told my friend I was not going to be able to walk home. I couldn’t even keep my eyes open. She walked me into a bar in the area and asked if she could leave me sitting in it until she could go get her car. It was a completely black bar as I could hear that. I heard the man she talked to say “ she ain’t going to have that baby, is she?!?” I did get a kick out of that. But she told him “no, she’s just light headed”. They sat me down at a table and I put my head down on my arms. Everyone left me alone and I believe I recall a black (I could hear her) lady asking me if I wanted some water. I could not drink it. But I was completely safe and no one bothered me. My friend got there and drove me to our apt.
Next incident, someone stole my husbands black bag in the hospital and we could not afford to replace it. In am a nurse and we had decided I would not go to work as I was due in October. But we needed to to be able to replace my husband’s bag so I went to apply to work at Pres. They wouldn’t hire me as I was so far along that the nursing director said the patients would be too sympathetic to me.
This again, was in 1967. I wonder how differently things would be today? Now, the $64,000 question (if you relate to that you understand), and the question NO ONE is asking, nor is ALLOWED to ask is WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE???

Excellent, although scary, video, #28. Worth seeing by anyone who goes armed.
Have you seen the "First Person Defender" series on youtube? They are worth watching by anyone contemplating carrying a weapon or actually a concealed weapon. Lots of good "think about this" situations shown there.
And as to Chicago's "armed citizen" situation, the state of Illinois has had a Shall Issue concealed carry permit system for at least several years. One problem is that some public transportation modes prohibit even licensed CCW carriers from bringing a weapon on their vehicles. I don't know if this is the case in Chicago, but I would be surprised if they didn't do everything in their power to make it difficult for legally armed citizens to actually use their permits and be armed.
But sometimes you have to decide which is worse, risking some rule violation or getting beaten, stabbed or shot to death.

Notice the high quality of the video footage. /sarc off. Can it be enhanced so someone could actually be identified? Notice that no one came to the poor fellow's aid.
