SANTA ANA, California — Emanuel was in disbelief when he saw federal immigration officers show up to his workplace. He never thought they would come for him. “I told this guy — 'What’s going on?' He told me nothing. He arrests me,” he says. Emanuel Mendoza-Morales, 42, was born and raised in Mexico, but for the past 17 years he has lived in the United States after illegally entering the country by way of the southern border in 2003. An hour before, officers with Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations office had shown up to the mechanic shop where Mendoza-Morales was working and took him into custody. His boss probably knew he was an illegal, and should be prosecuted and/or get a hefty fine. I think Emmanuel should be brought back to the shop to identify and retrieve his tools and take them back to Mexico where he can work and live happily ever after, amen.

In one sense I can relate to his losing his tools. Good tools are for a lifetime. I was all agitated and torn up when my ex allowed her no-good bum of a boyfriend to have access to thirty years worth of really good tools. What a loss! With all the emotions involved in my separation, those tools weren’t on my mind when I left.

If you are going to be somewhere you shouldn't be, step one is to blend in and not attract attention. Getting a DUI attracts attention. Getting four screams "I am stupid!. Deport me!"

LMAO at reply number 3 which said to deport this guy's tools. It's a great idea. It's a lot harder to come back across the border with $5,000 dollars worth of tools on your back. Might slow him down a bit.

Start housing the illegals with the governor and legislators and hold them accountable for the illegals and we might see a change in attitude. How many 10's of thousands of our citizens have to suffer carnage nationwide before elites/democrats get it through their skulls that the illegals need to GO?

Every one of those DUIs that he was convicted of probably had 10 more that he wasn't arrested for. And each and every time, this worthless FOREIGNER was willing to risk killing Americans because he wanted to be drunk, and it was inconvenient to get someone to drive him. IMO, that is dozens and dozens of attempted murders. If he took a deer rifle and fired a shot at chest level through the neighborhood a bunch of times, how would that be really any different? He has zero conscience about risking killing others with his irresponsible actions. And yeah, I have tools that I have fixed cars with from 1966 until now, a lot of them, and I would hate to lose them, but TOO BAD you criminal. Go back and drive drunk in your own country.

The tiresome, hypocritical
politics of the Oscars

The year the Oscars had its highest viewership, Titanic won best picture. That was 1998, when the broadcast drew in 55.25 million viewers. “A billion people tuning in to see,” Billy Crystal sang in his opening monologue. A small fraction of a billion, perhaps, but the claim wasn’t as ludicrous then as it would be now. The Oscars had its worst year ever in 2018, with a measly viewership of 26.5 million. The following year’s host-less Oscars saw a slight bump to 29.6 million — though it’s still a far cry from years past. Host-less again, the Oscars might expect to see a similar bump in numbers this year.

Joe Biden brought his “No Malarkey” tour to a New Hampshire debate stage on Friday night. But in promising to tell the truth, he accidentally exposed his own doleful (or I should say, Bob Dole-ful) prospects in Tuesday’s opening-gun primary. In his first words of the debate—the moment when candidates are usually the most scripted—Biden confessed, “I took a hit in Iowa and I’ll probably take a hit here.” It was a novel campaign strategy; few candidates ever say, “Vote for me because I’m going to lose here.” If his comments were a brief misstep in an otherwise smooth debate, it would have been one thing.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is fighting for his political life, trying to fend off bogus charges of “corruption” that have been concocted by his political enemies–a group that includes, unfortunately, most of Israel’s political class. Earlier tonight he delivered a remarkable campaign speech that included a blunt assessment of Israel’s recent past and its relationship with the United States. I am tempted to reproduce the whole thing, as reported by Israel National News, as it is seamless, but will do my best to excerpt: Without our homeland [Judea and Samaria], we have no existence, we are left hanging – we have no past,

The Democrats are lucky the February debate in New Hampshire took place on a Friday night, when relatively few were watching — because if they wanted to deliver the message to the working-class white people who delivered the upper Midwest and the presidency to Donald Trump in 2016 that they should stick with him rather than voting blue in November, they did a brilliant job of it. Tom Steyer, the billionaire who’s trying to buy a win Bloomberg-style in the South Carolina Democratic primary, issued a stark warning at the beginning of the Democratic debate Friday night in New Hampshire:

Firing Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a Ukraine expert at the National Security Council, and his twin brother Yevgeny, an NSC lawyer, is just the start of a promised restructuring and a rebuilding of the National Security Council. Last September, National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien pledged to drastically downsize what he called the “bloated” NSC staff, so it is encouraging to see that some of that “bloat” was just escorted out of the White House on Friday. The swelling of the NSC ranks was real and Obama was to blame. During the George W. Bush administration, there were 100 policy professionals working in the NSC under Condoleezza Rice —

The "CITGO 6" -- Tomeu Vadell, Gustavo Cardenas, Jorge Toledo, Alirio Zambrano, Jose Luis Zambrano and Jose Angel Pereira -- were taken by the Maduro regime's intelligence services from their separate house arrest locations, according to several family members, Vadell's legal team, and the State Department. According to the legal team, they were removed "without warnings or judicial order" and are being held together in the same cell at El Heliocoide prison,

When President Barack Obama launched his 2012 reelection campaign, he did it with back-to-back rallies in a pair of logical places: Virginia and Ohio. The two essential swing states, with 31 electoral votes between them, were vital to Obama’s chances of winning a second term. Ohio, a traditional Midwestern bellwether, epitomized the old electoral map, from the now-distant era when presidential elections featured dozens of contested states and candidates sought to campaign in all of them. Virginia, a Southern state that for decades had voted Republican for president until Obama broke the streak in 2008, represented a new map, one in which rapid demographic change created new opportunities for Democrats.

The partisan impeachment of President Donald Trump finally passed, mercifully, like a kidney stone, with Democrats grimacing helplessly during acquittal in the Senate on Wednesday. It's over. The cable news networks loved it because they love a show but there was no real drama. Americans knew for months how this would turn out. They knew Democrats didn't have the votes in the Senate. It was all about targeting select Republican senators in the next elections. The people turned off this farce of Democratic Impeachment Theater long ago. Americans aren't as dumb as some politicians think they are. They paid attention for a while. They read the transcript of his phone call to Ukraine --

Sudesh Amman was singularly unsuccessful in his wish to kill kafirs, as he put it, and thereby find himself surrounded by the ho*r al ayn — beautiful handmaidens who’ll do anything you want, frankly — in the afterlife. He had perhaps not followed the instructions in the book he had about how to stab people. Two were injured by the madman on Streatham High Road in south London; both, mercifully, should live. However, Amman was shot dead by plain-clothes policemen before he could even scream out the old ‘Allahu Akbar’ thing. Democratic Illinois Rep. Jesús García, along with several other progressive House members, introduced the New Way Forward Act in December 2019, to seemingly little fanfare. The bill, among many things, calls for the decriminalization of illegal immigration, would make it more difficult to deport convicted criminal aliens, empower immigration judges to nullify deportation orders, and also calls for the return of previously deported illegal aliens.
