Now that the Senate trial is over, I hope Democrats have plenty of water and aspirin in preparation for the raging impeachment headache they're about to endure.
Senate Republicans voted Friday not to admit any additional witnesses or evidence, the right thing to do in this ridiculous impeachment process, effectively ending our national nightmare, wherein we were expected to be absolutely outraged that President Trump asked Ukraine to investigate a matter that journalists in the United States themselves have been investigating.
All that's left to do is vote to either convict or acquit, and it looks a lot like acquittal.
I suspect that, when Democratic voters asked for impeachment,

Good news on this "phase" of the coup attempt. The bad news is that they are not going to quit. The evil haters have completely lost their minds. Trump is a man of steel to be able to take all the Schiff coming at him every day but how much can a man take...…..four more years of it?
What we need now is a steady filing of indictments for the next four years against the creatures who have been behind this crap for the last three years. This may be the only way to put an end to this nightmare !!!!

I wonder if they stored the gallows erected to deal with David Herold, Lewis Powell, George Atzerodt and Mary Surratt?

Impeachment has now and forever been rendered meaningless. I suspect PDJT doesn’t give a Schiff - four more years will give him another 100 federal judges and two Supreme Court picks. We all can live with that.

They were hoping with all the pressure Trump would fold, and go away.
Trump dosen't fold.
Collins and Mitt better watch out as Trump does pay back.
I'm willing to trade Collins for a Rat if we can knock of one the Dems.
The Dem Senator s up in close states will be targeted hard.
For one I hope James can get ride of Peter's in Mi.

What's next I wonder.... Probably a stock market crash. Doubtless some school shootings (done by Amish). A tie in the Super Bowl. Oh the humanity.

Don't count your chickens before they are hatched. The Dems have 4 days to come up with a monkeywrench.

FTA: Earlier in the night, the crowd booed the Democratic National Committee when filmmaker Michael Moore ripped the party for changing debate rules so that billionaire Michael Bloomberg would be able to participate in debates despite not having any individual donors.

“ I suspect that, when Democratic voters asked for impeachment, they weren't thinking of a scenario wherein Trump remains in office.”
The truly idiotic supporters of The Squad actually believed that, if PDT was removed from office, Illary would become president. As Ron White says, you can’t fix stupid.

The 'funny part' is Democrats were hanging impeachment over Trump's head as their ultimate punishment, and now that threat is exhausted. I imagine endless investigations will continue, but Trump will be able to slap them away at every turn.

So true that impeachment has been rendered meaningless. Democrats corrupt everything in their quest for domination over us. Well, they have until November for their next corrupt hoax. After that, they will be the minority in both houses of congress and Donald J. Trump will have another four years to Keep America Great Again!

This is a pivotal moment in U.S. history and Trump has won. If elected again, I predict a J.F.K. assassination attempt. The Deep State must have their way. I also predict, it will fail. Trump is way to smart to let it happen.

It would have been over had the vote been held either yesterday or today. Delay tactics means that this is not over yet. I loathe congress and their slothful dithering with every fiber of my being. When Schiff would not stop with his lies, Turtle should have invoked the kill switch and shut it all down. This was not a trial, this was a Soviet style railroading. Until the vote happens, it is not over.

This "impeachment" was never to work out this way.
- PDT's approval numbers were supposed to tank with the threat of impeachment to allow a "moderate" GOPe/UNIPARTY primary challenger, like Mitt.
- Pelosi and her ilk would fight the good fight and mollify the Squad radicals while burnishing her cred as a master politician and a moderate, duty-bound "with heavy heart" stateswoman.
- The GOPe would gain cred with the MAGA/KAG crowd by "standing together" against the radical Dems.
- The existential threat to the UNIPARTY would be staunched, if not eliminated.
- And PDT...his reputation was supposed to be in tatters, any re-election campaign shattered.
The farce failed. The "impeachment inquiry" too staged and partisan. The Articles too thin to prosecute. Pelosi should have seen this. Those should never have gotten to the Senate for a trial. The "master pol" Speaker and her leadership cabal, including Chuckie Schumer, engineered a disaster. Someone will pay for this debacle. Don't be surprised if Nancy "retires" gracefully from the House, with the thanks of a grateful nation.
On to the next act. This play isn't over...not even close.

Watching this entire hoax play out and especially the trial I can say Nancy Pelosi chose the wrong battle to fight and the wrong general, Schiff, to lead. There in lies the failure that made Chuck Schumer shed tears. The only asterisk will be that when a communist democrat mentions 'impeachment' from now on everyone will laugh and walk away.
If you are going after the king you better kill him good not send the court jester to do it like Adam Schiff.
