Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski came out Friday against calling witnesses in President Trump’s impeachment trial, all but assuring the Senate will move to wrap up proceedings with a likely acquittal in a matter of days, if not hours.
“Given the partisan nature of this impeachment from the very beginning and throughout, I have come to the conclusion that there will be no fair trial in the Senate. I don’t believe the continuation of this process will change anything. It is sad for me to admit that, as an institution, the Congress has failed,” said Murkowski, R-Alaska, a key moderate senator who has been closely watched on the witness question.

OK, then - - time to file the next set of impeachment charges.
Pencil Neck and Roly-Poly screwed up this one - - so next time it'll be Maxine and Racial Alexandria.

Joe and Hunter Biden should be thanking the Republican Senators for voting no witnesses. The house managers are happy to stab him in the back. The Democrats have to be purged. They are not good people.
Btw, I heard there's someone in Utah who is trying to get Romney recalled.

The Senate hearings have been every bit as fair as the House trial. So there Murkowski! You rat in humans clothing.
I still don’t understand how you ended up winning the Senate race after you lost the primary.

I have always thought of Warren as deluded and corrupt but not really slimy. Her question about Roberts has informed me that she’s just as slimy as Biden, Clinton, Reid and all the rest of them.

Poor Mitt. He wanted so badly to be relevant. Instead, he has further removed his mask for his former supporters in Utah and doesn't even get to be a difference-maker in the scampeachment trial.

Just like we had to endure Carter to get Reagan, in hindsight I'm glad Mitt lost in 2012 to set up Trump to win in 2016.

As everything the dems have done against Trump this has collapsed into a pile of manure. Trump will use it to fertilize his campaign and grow MAGA and KAGA daisies.
I'm not sure the CONGRESS has "failed". Given dem insanity and intransigence, the Senate responded to the House farce as it had to. They listened and soon will dismiss the ridiculous charges. The Senate Republicans, like the House Republicans, stood their ground except for the Rummey Collins. It was more a failure of the dem party to be rational.

Sure. And certain Democrats, Bernie, Lizzie, and Whatshername just donated big time to Murky's campaign fund.

I'll give her credit for a strong rebuke to the partisan democrats and even to Elizabeth Warren.
I still find it irritating the way these RINOs are so comfortable playing painful games just because they crave attention. Congress failed from the moment they drafted the articles. Murkowski could have called them on it back then.

And correction to headline: Murkowski comes out against additional witnesses. The Democrats have 17 witnesses and wanted more.

The guy that wrote 'Profiles in Corruption' needs to write another one and include Murkowski, Romney, Abrahms, Waters, Schiff and Schumer....I'm sure they are all as corrupt as the ones he hit on in the book, which I just finished reading...a MUST READ!!!!

These people are nothing but attention whores. I'll bet this twiddle-twaddle knew she wasn't going to vote for witnesses the whole time. The others as well. Lamar Alexander announces that he won't vote for witnesses even though he believes the President is guilty. What a lowlife? These people make me sick.
