Brexit: Nigel Farage takes Britain out
of Europe with a stellar flourish

Original Article

Brexit goes through today, and Britain is finally independent, free from the clutches of the European Union. It's a great event regardless of how it happens, but in this case, it was cool beyond description. It all ended with a pretty amazing flourish, one that told us a lot about both the European Commission and newly sovereign Britain itself. Chief Brexiteer Nigel Farage made his last speech before the European Commission, which was a great scolding and call to shut down the whole operation altogether, which was subversive enough. But he drove it even further.

Comments:

Nigel's speech was brilliant, and the woman who presided over the meeting was exhibit 1 on why the Brits want to leave.

What country will be next to leave the EU? I realize that some are dependent on the EU for ''assistance'' but will they discover the desire for freedom, like the Brits did?

Nigel's speech is inspiring, and so too the (illicit!!) flag waving! Madame Chair threw a spectacular hissy fit that certainly should inspire the wanna-be leavers from other countries. What a joy to see Farage leading his group out. Ramona (the Pest)

Wow! What a beautiful way to say GFY to the European Union! That chairlady looked like she was ready to bite the heads off of nails, she was so mad. How DARE you wave your flags?!? Then Nigel laughs at her! Bwahaha! So it should go, with every globalist organization. APPLE are you listening? GOOGLE? TWITTER? Thank you Nigel Farage.

The elites in the prissy House of Lords, the climate-change cheerleaders in the Royal family hate Nigel as much as they hate our wonderful President Trump. Denmark, Italy and Poland are said to be seriously considering and/or planning their own exits from the EU.

Independence Day for the Brits! GLORIOUS! And Farage gave one of the best GFY speeches EVER. That schoolmarm bully sitting at the top desk was ridiculous, petty, vindictive, and mean...just like the EU. She could have come from any American Schoolboard out there, snide, dictatorial, control freak. "I noted the word 'hate' was used. We shouldn't use the word 'hate.' WE dont hate anyone!" (except for those who want to leave and tell you to go shove your bureaucracy in a dark dank hole somewhere.) Like every other harping hectoring classroom tyrant out there. SO HAPPY FOR THE UK!!

It is truly hilarious and uplifting to see the Socialists get blocked and their helplessness in the face of a strong independent nation. The chair woman made it worse by emphasizing her powerlessness.

The facade of the post WWII globalist scheme is crumbling, revealing a shoddy structure built on the lust for power. Laugh in their faces and go about your business. Humor wielded by real humans is a weapon they do not understand and can not defeat. Give the oh-so-serious no seriousness. They only deserve disdain. Even old Saul Alinsky knew a tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Indeed, populism is quite popular simply because it is fun.

What an explosive week this has been in the aftermath of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bombshell announcement that they wish to ‘step back’ as senior royals. I share much of the anger, frustration and sorrow of the British public at their decision, which has been much-discussed over the past few days.  But there is one aspect of this drama that concerns and saddens me: the behaviour of Prince Harry, and what appears to be him turning his back on the Royal Family.  This is so out of character, and — as his biographer who knows him better than many — I fear something is seriously amiss.

Despite Colorado handing Democrats control of both houses of the state Legislature, the governor's mansion, and three other statewide offices, its voters don't want the state to keep more of their money. Given today’s downward cultural spiral, it’s disturbing but not surprising that the makers of a thoughtful new documentary about Jordan Peterson are having a hard time finding somewhere to show their film. Many mainstream and independent cinemas have refused to screen it because they’re “fearful of controversy” or “morally concerned.” One theater in Toronto cancelled a week-long showing after some of the staff “took issue with it.” A theater in Brooklyn cancelled a second screening, despite the fact that the first sold out and received good reviews, “because some staff were offended . . . and felt uncomfortable.”

As I have said before, I think the claim that President Trump’s phone conversation with President Zelensky of Ukraine somehow constitutes an impeachable offense is ridiculous. But impeachment is a political act, not a legal one, and the Democrats’ motives are entirely political. They think that impeaching President Trump will cast a pall of discredit over him and weaken his chances for re-election in 2020. I think that calculation is probably right. We will see a great deal of impeachment-related poll data in the months to come, but this early survey, reported in the New York Post, suggests that the Democrats are on the right track:  Headline corrected*

Now that the Senate trial is over, I hope Democrats have plenty of water and aspirin in preparation for the raging impeachment headache they're about to endure. Senate Republicans voted Friday not to admit any additional witnesses or evidence, the right thing to do in this ridiculous impeachment process, effectively ending our national nightmare, wherein we were expected to be absolutely outraged that President Trump asked Ukraine to investigate a matter that journalists in the United States themselves have been investigating. All that's left to do is vote to either convict or acquit, and it looks a lot like acquittal. I suspect that, when Democratic voters asked for impeachment,
