Republican Rick Scott, the freshman U.S. senator from Florida, has clearly not been a fan of the impeachment process that has played out before the nation these past two weeks.A process that comes courtesy of the Democratic Party and their hatred of President Donald Trump, and desire to cover for former Vice President Joe Biden’s corruption, according to the lawmaker.Scott posted a video on social media claiming he was being held hostage during the Senate impeachment trial, noting the rigid restrictions placed on senators“As you may have heard, I’ve been taken hostage along with 99 other people in the U.S. Capitol,” Scott begins.

Excellent. Sen. Scott. Humor is a power weapon and should be used more by the Republicans.

Humor is a great weapon because the Libs/Dems/media cannot understand humor, and that is one of the reasons why they hate Trump, because they take every comment seriously regardless if he was making a crack at their expense. Our kids in their early 20's call Trump's wise cracks "beauty moves" and they laugh at the left's reaction.

He’s a freshman senator and obviously hasn’t been compromised by the uni-party (swamp)! He sees Washington politicians clearly. Hopefully, it will stay that way. Stay away from trips on the Lolita express and the like Senator Scott!

An important thing to realize is that the same people that are producing this bumbling farce of wanting to impeach Trump for tossing a candy bar wrapper onto the sidewalk, want to run the country. The Three Stooges were funny to watch but would you want them in the White House?
The dems know that the President is NOT going to be convicted. The ONLY purpose of this process was so Schiffty and Co. could stand on national television and throw out their fevered invectives for 3 days. It was a no cost political ad which the media happily echoed for free. Yet, how many people do you think listened and sorted through all their baloney or the President's team ripping it all to pieces. It has been mostly pointless and a vast waste of time and taxpayer money.

If only the other 99 Senators have sand like Rick Scott; we wouldn’t be reading about this Mad Hatter Impeachment party!

Short answer:
We played along so the Dems wouldn't cry. We took them to the zoo/carnival/water park hoping to shut them up. We even gave them stupid noisy toys to annoy us with all day. Now their balloon is busted and they have melted cotton candy in their hair and all over their fingers but they still won't shut up! Enough. We've been there, we've done that ... and we got the "I survived the Impeachment" tee-shirts. Done. Over. Get on with life and the election. On November 3rd we'll see who was right and wrong.

Am I the only person here who thinks Scott's attempt at humor is not at all funny? If I were a republican senator I would be ashamed for allowing this to continue.

Wow. What a video! Sen. Scott did not struggle at all with expressing his humorous disgust with the impeachment circus. Senator, get this ad out to all non-msm media outlets so everyone can see what the dims have done to the country.

This gives me hope that not all the senators are numpty headed fools. From the tone of the questions, I got the impression that a number of them have no clue what is going on, and have not been paying attention. That terrifies me.
I have felt like a hostage for three years now, victim to the tantrums of the democrats who just cannot grow up and accept that we do not want their party in the WH.

I think I know how to end this questions of Witnesses. McConnell should simply announce IF Witnesses are needed the Senate will stay in session OVER the Weekend. Including Sunday! Simply need that extra day to get impeachment done so they can get back to doing the work of the American People! I bet that announcement would suddenly change the hearts and minds of those who think it might be cute to hold out for Witnesses!!

Rick Scott was our great Governor here in Florida, and a solid conservative. He handled the Hurricane Irma evacuations (6.2 million people out of a total state population of 19 million at that time) competently and effectively. He is likeTrump in that he is not establishment GOP - he’s a businessman who doesn’t submit to the Democrat rules and the media rules. I wish we had 53 Rick Scotts in the senate.

Milk and water?!? Somebody send Rick Scott a steak.
Haven't found this coup attempt funny in the least. Watching Rick Scott, neither does he. The only point he could have added was calling what the Democrats are doing a coup.

That was terrific. Imagine, an elected Senator who has a sense of humor and isn't afraid to use it. God bless him and keep him safe. Lucky Florida. Tennessee hasn't had great representation since Dr. Bill Frist saved a dying man there; then he kept his one-term promise and came home.

Sen. Scott hit just the right tone here. His humor wasn't hilarious, but it it were, we'd react by saying that he should take his responsibilities more seriously. So, he came across as good-natured. I felt heartened to hear him enunciate the naked truth about Joe Biden. I can't fathom why the donks try to justify Biden's transparent corruption rather than kicking him and Hunter to the curb and recommending their prosecution.

Scott was a good governor and now senator. However, one of the 'managers' is my House Rep. Wish I could say the same about her.
