In this made-for-TV world, we are witnessing made-for-TV moments scripted for maximum viewing with minimal honor.
With all the hype and hypocrisy, amid all the claims to honor, history, and the American way, six Republican U.S. Senators sitting in the middle of this fury hold all the cards in an impeachment trial that should never have happened.
Conventional wisdom from the elites suggests these Senators may hold out or, worse hold their GOP colleagues back from dismissing this patently absurd display of justice. They couldn’t be more wrong.
Meet the stentorian six:
No doubt the b***less wonder Pierre Delecto is pleased with himself.
Thanks so much, Utah.

I remember when I used to say "consider the source", I was talking about CNN or MSNBC.
But now if it's attacking President Trump, it's just as likely to be Fox News.
Sad on so many levels!!!
But if it is true, the Republi-can't Party had better cut these vile idiots off or they are going to see a lot of conservatives sit home and let the Demon-Rats have the next election.

Romney and others better be careful which door to corruption they open up with witnesses.

McSally does NOT face an "uncertain" future. She does not lead in a single poll against Gabby Giffords husband, Mark Kelly. NOT A SINGLE POLL. She's not even CLOSE, This must be some kind of (losing) last ditch effort to get attention or maybe hand-hold one of the others because she KNOWS she has no chance.

I do not know any of the six that well, but if we care about our country and want it to continue to thrive, we really have to ask ourselves what are these men's and women's strengths? Perhaps we could have one of those lengthy comment sections similar to those we had in the past, with people who know them, telling us their strengths/ or weaknesses. If they have nothing positive going for them, we should vote them out of office. Right now, we need people in public life who believe they should serve the people rather than themselves.

Gardner hung us out to dry in Colorado right after he got elected in 2014. He campaigned on a anti-Obamacare platform, then did an about face after he got elected and became a go with the flow never-Trumper after the President was inaugurated in January 2017. Now Gardner finds himself running against the Denver deep state, local msm, and former Gov. Hickenlooper who was a disaster here by inviting the drug cartels into the state with open arms. The only reason I would vote again for Gardner is to keep the corrupt Hick from getting in and doing any more damage here.

There is no way Mitch let's this go on, no way he stands by and watch the Senate be the chumps of the House..His legacy would be toast and he would go down in defeat with his current Senate run..

Countless times in the last few years I have sent comments/suggestions/questions to Senator Gardner. Every time I have received an immediate response saying I would have a reply within 24 hours. I have received NOT ONE REPLY.

There's another way that this could end. Its a long shot but here's the scenario.
The first Republican question is directed at Adam Schiff by Justice Roberts.
"Manager Schiff, on what date did you or your staff have communication with the whistle blower and did you discuss or contribute to the information that was in the complaint?"
If Schiff answers "That's classified" or refuses to answer John Roberts will cite him for contempt of Congress since no legal authority exists for this claim. The Senate would then immediately vote to dismiss the House charges based on the criminal act of Manager Schiff.
If he gives the actual date of the meeting and it precedes the date that the complaint was publicly released then Justice Roberts will refer the matter to the DOJ with a recommendation to charge Schiff and the whistle blower with conspiracy to file a fraudulent complaint against the President. The Senate would then immediately vote to dismiss the House charges based on the criminal act of Manager Schiff and the whistle blower.
If the whistle blower had prior knowledge of the corruption that occurred in Ukraine that was discussed on the President's phone call and used the complaint to force the President and Zelensky to block the investigation of the Bidens this is an additional count of obstruction of justice.
In any event, I'm certain that Schiff will be asked this question. He is required to answer truthfully under oath or be charged with perjury and removed from his House seat. My point is the Senate may never have to vote on the articles if the entire impeachment process itself is determined to be a crime.

Re #11, Jim Jordan has said that that is the first question he’d ask of Schiff.

Cofer Black sitting on the Burisma board with Hunter Biden could be the reason Romney is a'wobblin.... seeing how he was one of his top aides.

I don’t see the need for witnesses, but it’s not a battlefield worth dying on. I’d just warn the Democrats: be careful what you wish for. For starters, our legal team can run circles around the House managers and decimate anyone the Dems call as witnesses. Second, we will be able to call witnesses of our own, which will further torpedo the case against the President (not to mention the presidential hopes of Joe Biden). Third, calling witnesses will extend the trial and mess with the Democrat primaries. And last but not least, the resulting disaster will create huge dissension among Democrats right when they need unity the most. Pretty sweet outcomes! And guess what? For once the Dems wouldn’t be able to blame it on Trump.
One last thought. Wouldn’t it be great if President Zelensky offered to testify?

The House republicans plus one Democrat were with Trump 100%...let’s see how the Senate republicans do??? Any republican who votes against Trump after 4 years of Schiff & Nadler lies needs to step down. Didn’t the fake republicans learn anything from Flake ?

We went from four to six now? At least Lindsay is on the right side for a change. He promises to investigate the Bidens. Remember that when this is over, ya'll.

#2, Sit home? Are you kidding me? No one with a brain would ever think of sitting out this election. It would be tantamount to betrayal on every level. We ALL. It’s get out and vote. Shut the democrats out of politics as much as we can and then we can deal with those obstinate Rinos. Real Conservatives are going to the polls in November. You can count on it.

Fool me once (Kavanaugh hearing late testimony), shame on you.
Fool me twice (Bolton), shame on me.
Shame.
