The timing, purpose and narrative engineering here are transparent in the extreme.
Tonight the New York Times (Schmidt and Haberman) write an article claiming to have exclusively gained portions of a transcript of a John Bolton book manuscript that was given to the White House National Security Council for pre-publication review.(Snip)However, setting aside the nothing-burger details of the book as leaked, the leak itself might now reconcile an earlier event.
Remember the issue a little more than a week ago when the National Security Council senior director for European and Russian affairs, Andrew Peek, was escorted from the White House grounds and is said to be under a security-related investigation?

Guess who is in the department that vets articles and books written by NSC employees?
Lt. Col Vindman's twin brother, Yevgeny.

Standard Dem playbook.
Wait until the last second, then spring a surprise witness.
Ex: Judge Thomas, Anita Hill
Ex: Judge Kavanaugh, Christine Blaisie Ford
Sheesh.
A leaked, surreptitious claim about a purported manuscript.
A leaked, surreptitious claim about a secret recording.
How much more of this do we have to endure?

After President Trump's election, when he was gathering his cabinet and major advisors, Bolton's name came up a lot. And do you remember the President's quoted reaction? He didn't like Bolton's moustache! (Who does?) (And his 70's hair-do!?) He should have kept with that assessment, as it seems the lure of money is more important than anything to this "patriot." A rush to get a book out? Drain the (adjective) swamp!

When a person accepts an Executive position within the Federal government, there should be a moratorium placed on them and the publishing houses to refrain from publication of ANY material obtained while in that position. It is truly disgusting that Captain Kangaroo can write a screed that no one will buy, but that the leftist progs in the media will use to damage the POTUS. It's high time to force these public servants to take an oath and sign down on the contract.

It is just a "manuscript". I am sure the publisher's legal beagles have not fully vetted this literary masterpiece yet. So until it has been I would file this under another hit job by the Knee Jerk Slimes working hand in glove for Schmuckie and Adumb. Fake news conveniently coming out at the same time as Trump's defense lawyers take the Senate floor and giving another opportunity for Shoemer to stand in front of the media and read off his pathetic talking points on how they loudly demand witnesses and how Bolton absolutely now must testify.

I am with you, #6. Sorry, even those folks I like and respect leaving the Trump administration and immediately securing the book deal is tacky. Just because everybody else does it does not make it honorable.

Whoever “leaked” handpicked writings from The manuscript should be fired immediately and physically removed from the White House grounds. The author of this proposed book is John Bolton who was fired by the President as his National Security Advisor. Bolton has long been known as an outspoken neocon warmonger who has spoke out in support of war with Iran, North Korea and Russia. His prior comments suggest treating the North Korean leader as the past Libyan Leader was handled, killing him, was probably done to sabotage Trump’s denuclearization talks with North Korea. Trump has demonstrated through his actions as President that he is not a warmonger, but is an economic and foreign trade warrior moving to initiate change in adversarial countries without putting the lives of untold thousands of American armed services members at great risk, as he pledged to do during his Presidential campaign.
It is said that the person on the White House National Security Council who has been assigned to review Bolton’s manuscript, and who has complete access to Bolton’s manuscript for classified information before it can be published as a book, is said to be non other than Lt. Col. Alexander Vinman’s twin brother an Obama holdover!
It is now very clear that President Trump must take the bull by the horns and fire everyone on the White House National Security Council who was an Obama holdover, as so many National Security “leaks” coming out of the White House have to come from Obama spies who have been placed on that Council to conduct politically based spying and “leaking” information that could be deemed adverse to the Trump Administration and their ability to effectively carry out foreign affairs. That Council was hugely expanded during the Obama years and needs to be greatly slimmed down to where it can still effectively advise the President on foreign affairs as has always been their reason for existing, without spying and leaking information for political purposes.
A President while conducting foreign affairs is under no lawful or constitutional prohibition from requesting foreign leaders to look into suspected corruption in their countries, especially where such corruption may involve the misuse and laundering of US foreign aid money, into the pockets of corrupt individuals, either US persons or foreigners. It does not matter if a US person suspected of such corruption may end up as a future presidential nominee of the opposing political party. As if there is legitimate evidence also known as “dirt” out there that would incriminate a US person, it is only there because of that US person’s criminal improper corrupt actions.
