Like week-old meat left in a hot car, the stench of defeat is starting to overpower the swag pens and stifled giggles in the Democrats' impeachment project.
Axios has fresh news about how bad it is:
Officials in both parties tell me that — barring surprise new information — President Trump is on a glide path to swift acquittal at his Senate impeachment trial, despite a blizzard of evidence bolstering Democrats' accusations.
Why it matters: Trump has a decent chance of avoiding witnesses and of losing zero Republican votes on conviction.
Think about that: When the news broke,

They had plenty of nothing.
They spread their nothing out over 2 1/2 days of boring repetition, interspersed with insults to the Senators and derogatory remarks about the American People, too stupid to elect someone good.
And nothing is not good enough for the Senate.
So they can take their nothing back to their little House, sit in the corner, and sulk.

FTA: '...'despite a blizzard of evidence bolstering Democrats' accusations.''
I have not heard any evidence yet. Only emotional rants, with no bearing in reality. If there was any evidence, there would be criminal charges. The democrats have presented NONE!

The articles should be dismissed to avoid accepting the premise of impeachment without crime.

It does the fence-sitting republicans no good now to vote against Donald Trump but there is the potential for great harm. I'm thinking republican support will be 100% as they play it safe. Manchin is also treading on dangerous ground by claiming to be open-minded to the lies and deceit perpetrated by the dems. His position in West Virginia will become very shaky if one of the democrat socialists again threatens the coal minding industry and you know those green goblins will go after that early in a democrat presidency.

The Democrats and MSM need a Simon Cowell figure to stop with the garbage and call a spade a spade and jolt them back to reality. It does no one a service by heaping glowing praise on anyone when they are...at best... mediocre. None of the House Managers were eloquent, none were "masterful." They were odious and boring, and as far as "testimony" went it was all hearsay. "My cousins friends brother has an uncle who knew Trumps father from the old neighborhood and he said..."
Many of the Democrats are attorneys they KNOW that. Judge Judy would have their heads.
What I saw was almost juvenile. If I had given a presentation like that in high school I never would have passed.

Breaking apart ?? Crack #1 Tin Lizzie, Crack #2 Bernie Sanders, Crack # 3 Amy Klobbercuk if she can figure it out without help from her staff. This ting should come apart with a vote to acquit of 72 to 12 with 16 undecideds.

#2, I think most of us reacted as you did to that statement about the Dems' "evidence". We saw, and HAVE BEEN seeing a string of lies and innuendos, fabrications out of whole cloth, an outrageous "parody" read into The Record during a House committee hearing. I watched it "live", and I was shouting at the tv... and at the Republicans who sat there... were they stunned into silence?
There must be a penalty of some kind for having perpetrated a bunch of fraudulent schemes and plots against POTUS, those who work for him, and us (Citizens, tax-payers). Sure there must be some rational, wise Dem Senators out there?

It seems that our enemies at Axios do not want Trump Lawyers to bring up Hunter Biden corruption. The opposite of what these Commies say should be done.

There is something else to note about this growing reality. Leftist Dems have made the impeachment push supposedly because "If they didn't, Trump would be reelected". That might be taken that they needed to remove him through impeachment and not give voters the choice to vote for him. But there was never really any chance of that happening. It is more likely that they expected to wound Trump via impeachment to keep him from winning the election.
The problem is, as with so much the dems do, they botched the process horribly. You can almost feel sorry for them because Trump hasn't given them anything to work with. They had the demented Schiff who shows the willingness and earnestness to boldly and baldly lie so they took their shot with Shiffty's dead fish stare and nerf bullets. It was abysmal to start and the President's team has barely said anything. On Monday and Tuesday they are going to fillet the House Managers and their "case" and cook them up. It will be painfully obvious to rational people that the House impeachment articles are absurd and the Managers are idiots and liars.
THEN where do the dems/media/Left go? Impeachment has been their goal since the election. It is over. Humiliation and failure. Now what? Biden has been crippled by his involvement with Ukraine and his own stupidity. Bernie the Communist is DOA to the general election. Warren has been doing a slow desperate fade. All the others are below 10% and are spinning their wheels. The party is fractured and no matter the outcome of the primary will remain so.
Trump is stronger than ever. The ongoing DOJ criminal investigations are going to ripen and it is NOT going to come out well for the dems/media. There will be a picture of a very corrupt dem administration that tried to overthrow an election.
The dems are already toast and the heat is still on. By November there may only be ashes left.

The idiot Senator from Indiana, Braun, an ostensible Republican, says he hopes that this "will be instructional" for the President, ..... what a damned fool.
Never heard of Braun before, but clearly, he needs a really conservative candidate to run against him in his next primary.

"Blizzard", as in snowjob, perhaps?
The Democrat case is a sick joke. Any Senator who votes to convict, Democrat or Republican, is not only a fool, but a traitor.

Most Americans are turned off by the whole dog and pony show. Dems have no viable candidates and impeachment is all they have going on.
Constituents should be fighting mad because none of US have had any representation in the past three years. The "managers" are foaming at the mouth full of hate and mine happens to think this is a stepping point for her. Gawd forbid. BTW She wasn't that good as a cop either.
