Elizabeth Warren was confronted at an Iowa town hall event by a voter who wanted to know if he could get back the money that he paid for his daughter's college education since Warren's running on forgiving student loan debt. "My daughter is in school," he said. "I saved all my money just to pay student loans. Can I have my money back?" Warren replied, "Of course not!"
The man continued to push Warren for an explanation for why some people can have a free education while others have to pay. "So you're going to pay for people who didn't save any money

The democrats reward the irresponsible, lazy and criminal in our society. All they want is your vote, then we all get screwed. Meanwhile, they claim to be for "fairness". Taxing the rich really means that if you make a lot of money, we'll take it. Why do people not understand this?

Well, who allowed Warren to be confronted with a real question? That just cannot be allowed to happen. These duplicitous democrats must never be forced to answer a real question from some peon trying just to make a living. Reality is an enemy to any democrat. They deal only in feelings. Many Americans are just like this dad. We worked hard to put our kids through college and our kids worked too. It is unfair to millions of families just like ours who sacrificed to get it done.

Someone should ask Bernie the same, or a similar question. Can I get my money back when you give all this free stuff away? After all, it's my money the government wants to give away.

All of the dem candidates have the same problem. It's called reality and commonsense. They can say whatever they think people want to hear but failure if implemented. Just like Clinton when he FORCED banks to give home loans with zero down to people who couldn't afford it! What happened??? Hundreds of Thousands of people couldn't pay the loan and all of those people were screwed, bankrupt, monetarily destroyed. Homes were empty causing people who paid/were paying for their homes, values TANKED. It hurt all of us. But that is the dems plan after all, pull us all down so we are all miserable.

Consider the long term effects of a Warren or Bernie plan, about most things. They will take money from those who honestly worked for it and thumb their noses at those who played by the rules and saved money and were frugal. Soon, all the extra money will be gone because, after all, why bother making it if the government is just going to take it. Also, why be a sap and play by the rules when the government will pay for it if you don't. This is what happens in Socialist countries, the work ethic collapses because the government will "take care of you" but with no personal incentives, the outcome is a minimalist economy and the government quickly runs out of money dropping everyone into misery at the bottom.
This ALWAYS happens with ideas like Liz's and Bernie's. Their answer is always to do it again, only to fail harder. BO claimed that some of these things would work because HE was now president. They didn't. The Left is still trying to sell their long-past-their-sell-date plans with the promise that they will work, this time, because THEY will do it better. Would you buy a car that has a reputation for catching on fire and exploding? After numerous instances and deaths, would you believe a company that promised that they got it right, "this time". Would you want to be the guinea pig? Do you want to be the first passenger on Boeing's 737 Max when it returns to service?

I think most of us know that Warren's free college plan will lead to millions of Young people heading off to college just to extend their life of fun! They will stay on that Gravy Train as long as we Taxpayers let them. I think if a young person wants to go to college (I've had 10 grandchildren do so who paid their own way or took out loans which they're still paying back) they should have to WORK their way through. They should work while in school, work the whole summer and spend their money wisely. It means something if they had to work for it! If Warren is going to make college an extension of High School, those young people will learn nothing about life and responsibility. I think this man who asked the question of Warren should be in a TV Ad for Republicans!

In 2010 Obama nationalized the student loan business. The Department of Education was put in charge of student loans and the business was taken away from commercial banks. It went from being a profitable business to becoming a "crisis" with deadbeats defaulting on loans that the Dept of Education granted. The Democrats caused this disaster and now they want to bilk the American taxpayer to solve the problem that they caused and buy votes in the process.

If you take out a loan, it is your responsibility to pay it back, period.
That said, somehow the true villain in all this is being overlooked, and that is the universities. They jacked up their tuition at ridiculous rates, pay do-nothing professors and administrators obscene salaries, pay for fancy new buildings they don’t need and commission huge, ugly modern “art” eyesores around campuses, and on and on.
At the same time they lower their standards to admit poorly prepared students doomed to fail, because they bring guaranteed student loan cash. And when they ultimately flunk out, the colleges could not care less. This after the Left criminally perpetuates the myth that one cannot be successful without some sort of college degree.

Thank you, sire. Warren deserved every word you spoke. I's love to see what happened after she left the venue. If her "team" has any brains, they will know, Thhe Plumber really nailed her and caused many Americans to wake up.
