Elizabeth Warren was confronted at an Iowa town hall event by a voter who wanted to know if he could get back the money that he paid for his daughter's college education since Warren's running on forgiving student loan debt. "My daughter is in school," he said. "I saved all my money just to pay student loans. Can I have my money back?" Warren replied, "Of course not!" The man continued to push Warren for an explanation for why some people can have a free education while others have to pay. "So you're going to pay for people who didn't save any money

The democrats reward the irresponsible, lazy and criminal in our society. All they want is your vote, then we all get screwed. Meanwhile, they claim to be for "fairness". Taxing the rich really means that if you make a lot of money, we'll take it. Why do people not understand this?

Well, who allowed Warren to be confronted with a real question? That just cannot be allowed to happen. These duplicitous democrats must never be forced to answer a real question from some peon trying just to make a living. Reality is an enemy to any democrat. They deal only in feelings. Many Americans are just like this dad. We worked hard to put our kids through college and our kids worked too. It is unfair to millions of families just like ours who sacrificed to get it done.

Someone should ask Bernie the same, or a similar question. Can I get my money back when you give all this free stuff away? After all, it's my money the government wants to give away.

All of the dem candidates have the same problem. It's called reality and commonsense. They can say whatever they think people want to hear but failure if implemented. Just like Clinton when he FORCED banks to give home loans with zero down to people who couldn't afford it! What happened??? Hundreds of Thousands of people couldn't pay the loan and all of those people were screwed, bankrupt, monetarily destroyed. Homes were empty causing people who paid/were paying for their homes, values TANKED. It hurt all of us. But that is the dems plan after all, pull us all down so we are all miserable.

Consider the long term effects of a Warren or Bernie plan, about most things. They will take money from those who honestly worked for it and thumb their noses at those who played by the rules and saved money and were frugal. Soon, all the extra money will be gone because, after all, why bother making it if the government is just going to take it. Also, why be a sap and play by the rules when the government will pay for it if you don't. This is what happens in Socialist countries, the work ethic collapses because the government will "take care of you" but with no personal incentives, the outcome is a minimalist economy and the government quickly runs out of money dropping everyone into misery at the bottom. This ALWAYS happens with ideas like Liz's and Bernie's. Their answer is always to do it again, only to fail harder. BO claimed that some of these things would work because HE was now president. They didn't. The Left is still trying to sell their long-past-their-sell-date plans with the promise that they will work, this time, because THEY will do it better. Would you buy a car that has a reputation for catching on fire and exploding? After numerous instances and deaths, would you believe a company that promised that they got it right, "this time". Would you want to be the guinea pig? Do you want to be the first passenger on Boeing's 737 Max when it returns to service?

I think most of us know that Warren's free college plan will lead to millions of Young people heading off to college just to extend their life of fun! They will stay on that Gravy Train as long as we Taxpayers let them. I think if a young person wants to go to college (I've had 10 grandchildren do so who paid their own way or took out loans which they're still paying back) they should have to WORK their way through. They should work while in school, work the whole summer and spend their money wisely. It means something if they had to work for it! If Warren is going to make college an extension of High School, those young people will learn nothing about life and responsibility. I think this man who asked the question of Warren should be in a TV Ad for Republicans!

In 2010 Obama nationalized the student loan business. The Department of Education was put in charge of student loans and the business was taken away from commercial banks. It went from being a profitable business to becoming a "crisis" with deadbeats defaulting on loans that the Dept of Education granted. The Democrats caused this disaster and now they want to bilk the American taxpayer to solve the problem that they caused and buy votes in the process.

If you take out a loan, it is your responsibility to pay it back, period. That said, somehow the true villain in all this is being overlooked, and that is the universities. They jacked up their tuition at ridiculous rates, pay do-nothing professors and administrators obscene salaries, pay for fancy new buildings they don’t need and commission huge, ugly modern “art” eyesores around campuses, and on and on. At the same time they lower their standards to admit poorly prepared students doomed to fail, because they bring guaranteed student loan cash. And when they ultimately flunk out, the colleges could not care less. This after the Left criminally perpetuates the myth that one cannot be successful without some sort of college degree.

Schiff's Pathetic Response
to Trump's Defense Team

After President Donald Trump's defense team presented their opening statement on Saturday, House Intelligence Committee Chairman and Impeachment Manager Adam Schiff (D-CA) took to Twitter to chide the president's legal team. After listening to the President’s lawyers opening arguments, I have three observations: They don’t contest the facts of Trump’s scheme. They’re trying to deflect, distract from, and distort the truth. And they are continuing to cover it up by blocking documents and witnesses. — Adam Schiff (@RepAdamSchiff) January 25, 2020

Remember when Jimmy Carter published a whiny, self-serving book about his political downfall called “What Happened”? Remember when Mike Dukakis pushed filmmakers to do a four-hour fan documentary about himself? Remember when George H.W. Bush mocked Bill Clinton at the Grammys? Yeah, me neither. Previous losing presidential candidates had the dignity to back off and bow out of politics. Yet here is Hillary Rodham Clinton, the recurrent canker sore on America’s butt, which is politics. This week she again tried to reintroduce herself to us all as anything but what she is, which is a sore loser.

Donald Trump's lawyers defended the president against articles of impeachment Saturday morning arguing it’s the Democrats trying to interfere in elections by seeking to remove Trump from the 2020 ballot for doing “absolutely nothing wrong.” White House Counsel Pat Cipollone said Democrats have no case and are doing damage to democracy by trying to undermine the will of American voters. “For all their talk about election interference, they're here to perpetrate the most massive interference in an election in American history,” Cipollone said in his opening remarks to the Senate. “And we can't allow that to happen."

In a follow-up op-ed on Friday, he advised the House Democratic impeachment managers to accept that their case was essentially dead on arrival and to slice their articles of impeachment in half. Only by dropping the "obstruction of Congress" impeachment article can they hope to get the Senate to agree to have witnesses in the trial for the "abuse of power" article. The latest impeachment related story — a non-story in my view — is about a tape recording in which President Trump (according to reports) instructed associates to fire Marie Yovanovitch, the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine. The recording apparently was made at a dinner party in April 2018 by Igor Fruman, one of Rudy Giuliani’s main Ukraine operatives (along with Lev Parnas). Yovanovitch wasn’t fired until May 2019. Thus, there is less to this story than meets the eye. Nor did much meet the eye to begin with. According to reports, Trump demanded that Yovanovitch be fired after he heard she was bad mouthing the president in Ukraine.

President Donald Trump has succeeded because he has a sense of what normal folks believe about a range of issues. In one area, however, he has gone seriously awry. He constantly subordinates American interests and values to Saudi Arabia, a brutally repressive and aggressive regime that has promoted Islamism and enabled terrorism worldwide. Most recently, the president claimed that Riyadh had “already deposited $1 billion in the bank” for American forces deployed to protect the royals. Other officials said that $500 million so far had been paid. The Pentagon would not confirm any particular amount, but spokeswoman Rebecca Rebarich said, “Discussions are ongoing to formalize a mechanism

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and liberal filmmaker Michael Moore shared the duties for the 2020 presidential candidate in Iowa City. But in her speech closing out the event, Ocasio-Cortez -- who first endorsed Sanders back in October -- never once mentioned his name. Perhaps for the first time in many years, politicians are directly competing for black votes. This goes hand-in-hand with signs that black America is no longer monolithically supporting Democrats. For example, President Donald Trump’s approval rating among black Americans is in the mid-30s. Enter Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg, who just launched his new plan for black America, the Greenwood Initiative, named after a site of both incredible black achievement and pain. Bloomberg, speaking to a mostly white audience of only several hundred in Tulsa, Oklahoma, unveiled his plan’s three points.
