An Oxford University professor has been given security guards to accompany her to lectures after receiving threats from transgender activists. Prof Selina Todd, a historian who specialises in the lives of women and the working class, said that she has now been provided with “routine security” to ensure she is not attacked.(Snip) “My research suggests that women who posed as men in the past were often lesbians seeking to protect themselves, or because they want to do jobs that were only available to men,” she said. “The first complaint that was made against me was to say that I was transphobic because

Comments:

In a comedy of battling layers of oppressed classes, a radical feminist professor relies on two big burly guys to protect her from enraged Transgender Brits. Probably not a bad idea, as transgenderism is a serious mental illness.

For a group consisting of mainly men who think they're women, these activists seem to be overdosing on testosterone.

Sorry folks. Gay is bad enough. I'll put up with it as long as you Buttgig refrain from calling your sex partner your husband and ditto lesbians with wives. Yeh I get it, cute, but the shock value has worn off. Transvestites, you're just FREAKS. Ask the gays, they think so too.

"If you tell the truth, we'll beat the hell out of you." Yeah, that's a sensible position to take. They are just playing 'let's pretend' and get REALLY angry when people refuse to play along with their mental illness.

“My research suggests that women who posed as men in the past were often lesbians seeking to protect themselves, or because they want to do jobs that were only available to men...” That all seems kind of self-evident to me. If these trans students are indeed attending college and paying tuition to learn something, perhaps they should pay attention to what an actual historian has to say on the subject. Why are these kids even attending school, when they seem to believe they already know it all? Actually, they are just threatening and bullying anyone who threatens to undermine their image of themselves, and silence anyone who voices the belief that their lifestyle is anything but normal.

Why is it that it that most security guards are men? There are more women than men. This is sexist. Where are the big burly women security guards? Could someone please publish a language reference source to let us know when it is okay to allow a preference for gender?

Walfrie Eliseo Camposeco-Montejo’s pitch to the Guatemalan woman was simple: Let me use your son to get into the U.S., and I promise I’ll send him to American schools. The ailing woman liked the idea. She gave her 12-year-old to Camposeco-Montejo, and they struck off for the U.S. in late 2016 just as another border crisis was developing. Arrested by Border Patrol agents, Camposeco-Montejo used a bogus birth certificate to claim he was the father of the boy and was given the catch-and-release treatment under the “family loophole” in U.S. policy. The boy never made it to school.

Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden this week reaffirmed his desire to have former first lady Michelle Obama be his running mate. “I sure would like Michelle [Obama] to be the vice president,” Biden said Tuesday at a campaign stop in Muscatine, Iowa. The comment came after the former vice president was asked if he would consider nominating former President Barack Obama to the Supreme Court. “Yeah, I would, but I don’t think he’d do it. He’d be a great Supreme Court justice,” Biden responded.(Snip) Biden responded: “They’re both incredibly qualified people and they’re such decent, honorable people.” The pairing would be a first

Four in five women could be missing out on higher wages due to not negotiating pay when applying for jobs, and half of female employees think they are being underpaid, a study has found. The research, conducted by employment law specialists Slater and Gordon, found 70 per cent of those women who ask for more money from their employers receive a proportion or all of the amount they ask for. This contradicts previous studies which have found that when women ask for a pay rise they are less likely to get one than men. Campaigners argue employers often victimise women who complain about equal pay.

A homeless man faces murder and arson charges in the death of beloved Brooklyn philanthropist L. Antonio Litman. Police on Tuesday arrested Dondre Richardson, 33, who lives in a shelter on Wards Island, charging him in Litman’s Jan. 20 slaying. Firefighters found Litman’s body after responding to a fire at his four-story brownstone on Adelphi St. near Dekalb Ave. in Fort Greene. He had suffered puncture wounds to his neck and chest before the fire, authorities said.(Snip) Litman is the founder of Virginia’s House of Hope, which states it has distributed school supplies, food, clothing and educational toys to more than 10,000

New York—New Yorkers are known for darting into traffic without heeding crosswalks and traffic lights. It's a habit that's largely ignored by law enforcement, but the NYPD can and does hand out hundreds of summonses for jaywalking each year. Last year, about 90 percent of all tickets were issued to black and Latino pedestrians, according to city data first reported by Streetsblog.(Snip) Less than one jaywalking summons is issued per day by the NYPD, a spokeswoman said. Police have discretion when it comes to tickets. "Officers enforce jaywalking if a specific condition exists, at that moment, that would require that enforcement action

A Long Island judge intentionally ignored the state’s controversial bail-reform law and refused to release a defendant he deemed a “menace to society,” The Post has learned. Nassau County District Judge David McAndrews admitted in court that accused two-time bank robber Romell Nellis wasn’t charged with a “bondable or bail offense”—but still ordered him held on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.(Snip) But McAndrew’s principled stand was short-lived, as a higher-level judge promptly reversed his order and released Nellis with an ankle monitor—only to have him cut it off and disappear.

By hiding his ties, Mr. Lieber was able to secure $18 million in research grant funding from the Department of Defense and National Institutes of Health, prosecutors said. “This is not an accident or coincidence,” said U.S. Attorney Andrew E. The GOP, though, has all these RINOs who have to establish their independence; they’re willing to break party unity when it serves their own ambitions. Three senators – Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins of Maine, and Mitt Romney of Utah – are rumored to be willing for witnesses to be called in the impeachment trial now underway in the Senate. Obviously, such a slowdown benefits the Democrats, who want the impeachment to headline news reports as long as possible.
