While attending a “community conversation” in Grimes, Iowa, this past Monday, a man approached Elizabeth Warren to ask her a question about her student loan plan (snip) students blithely take on debt despite getting majors in areas that will never result in jobs that enable them to pay off that debt. That is, she intends to reward them – or their families – for being completely irresponsible.
And it is that reward for irresponsibility that saw an irritated man approach Elizabeth Warren to complain about her proposal – and to get from her, in return, her dismissal of his concerns, a laugh, and a smirk.

The man in Iowa has common sense, Warren has none.
The man in Iowa sets his priorities and works to earn enough to achieve his priorities for himself and his children.
Warren wants to redistribute wealth to take from those who work and take risk to earn their money and give to those do not.
Brace yourself, here comes Venezuelan economics if Warren is elected.

I keep having vivid images of the "Three Little Pigs" book from my childhood. I thought the message was clear, at least from my mom, grow up to be the brick house piggy, not the straw and stick piggies who partied their little twisty tails off while brick piggy sweat his off building his house. Apparently some mothers taught their children that the moral of the story is to party on, there will always be some sap to bail you out when Mr. Wolf comes a calling.

What struck me was how quickly Warren just blew the guy off. She has to know that her stated positions completely exclude her from any chance to be president. It surely takes a special kind of narcissism and lack of awareness to be a leftist candidate. And yet dumb people keep giving her money.

For the last 25 years that I have been paying attention and keeping track, everything has been slowly edging towards this. Punish the responsible and reward the poor decision makers.
Why would they do this?
Two reason come to mind. First, to break down the fabric of society. Second, to get people more dependent on government.
Endgame? Use your brain.

Read my kids the "Ant and the Grasshopper" and the "Little Red Hen" the other day.
The Little red hen kept asking people to help her grow wheat, make flour, then bread. They all said "no", then demanded to eat the bread.
Apparently, to Elzabeth Warren, the diligent Little Red Hen is an evil being and must share the fruit of her labor with the lazy.

The fact is that whether we like it or not, the student loan debt is a time bomb, which could have devastating effects on that generation, and consequently on the rest of us. Young people are unable to buy houses, maybe not even cars, marry, have children. While taking from the wise to give to the foolish is not the answer, we need to come up with an answer.

Poster #8, maybe we could come up with some sort of plan where if someone spends a couple of years in the military they get their college education free or at reduced cost. Oh. wait. My bad. We already do.

You want your debt wiped out for getting a degree in Women's studies or some other equally useful degree? Fine....you put in 3 or 4 years of rebuilding roads and infrastructure.

Many of the assumptions behind these programs are distortions of truth, or even outright falsehoods. A provably wrong part of #8: "Young people are unable to buy houses, maybe not even cars, marry, have children. "
They are free (and even encouraged) to marry, but tend to cohabit as 'partners' to avoid the commitment. And generation after generation has demonstrated the ability to have children, whether they wanted children in the first place or not, and whether they can afford to provide for those children responsibly or not (and even if they can afford to provide, they sometimes just don't WANT to provide and let their negligence obligate others to take the responsibility).
But they most definitely CAN and DO have children.

I know, I’m nearly perfect. I worked summers and nights for my liberal arts education. Dad worked seven days a week also, but didn’t have much left over for my expenses. The four years passed, and other than a degree and experience of living, I learned nothing worthwhile from college. A later three years in the Infantry were much more educational. Formal education, other than primary (at least in the past), is a major swindle.

These plans are never well thought out in advance. Pols use this as pander-bait. Offer the "free" benefit, wrapped in robes of envy, unfairness, racism, discrimination and a brand new Constitutionally guaranteed Right, and the useful idiots will show up and DEMAND the things. Until one pushes back. (Of course she doesn't know what to say. Oh - and don't hold your breath waiting for investigative journalism to ask her the details. Their job is to be cheerleaders.

He needs to properly frame his argument in PC terms so that Liz will understand his plight. He should be demanding Student Load Reparations. Now that is a plank in the free stuff platform that Liz can support!

A democrat Congress would never appropriate money to pay off student debt and make college tuition-free. It would interfere with their other evil plans for the money!
Lizzie couldn't do it by executive order either. Any young people who vote for her, on the basis of that promise, will be very disappointed!
