Barely two weeks after Donald Trump took office, Eric Ciaramella – the CIA analyst whose name was recently linked in a tweet by the president and mentioned by lawmakers as the anonymous “whistleblower" who touched off Trump's impeachment – was overheard in the White House discussing with another staffer how to remove the newly elected president from office, according to former colleagues.Sources told RealClearInvestigations the staffer with whom Ciaramella was speaking was Sean Misko. Both were Obama administration holdovers working in the Trump White House on foreign policy and national security issues. And both expressed anger over Trump’s new “America First” foreign policy, a sea change from President Obama’s approach

Ciaramella has been on his “mission” for a long time, as have many other Obama holdovers. Brennan sent him from the CIA to master leaker and fellow traveller McMaster, where he was said to see and hear “everything”.
He has since gone back to the CIA.

The swampy NeverTrump gang replaced Due Process with trial by innuendo, treating hearsay as some new kind of evidence, establishing the precedent in the Kavanaugh-confirmation hearings, and codifying them as convention in the Trump-impeachment witch hunt.. Might as well use their own tool against their guy.

Just a bit tangential, how chilling is it that the notion of "America First" on the part of a CIA operative was alarming? Good Lord what kind of beast has our once noble republic spawned.

Right, #4. That shows where the democrat's loyalties lie. It isn't with America!

The NSC was headed by a Republican that did not clean out the Obama holdovers. The DOJ is headed by Republicans that have filed no cases. The Senate is controlled by Republicans that have had no hearings. I am not going to get outraged by Democrat behavior and antics any longer. The Republicans have the positions and power to do something about it, but have chosen to do nothing. The Republicans can DO THEIR JOBS, or not. I have gotten it. I don't need any more recitations of Democrat's outrageous behaviour. Please come up with a response, or something new. I am bored and tuning this out until the Republicans DO THEIR JOBS.

This needs to be tied closer to Schitt...who is the lead prosecutor and must be taken down. Today we hear he misled Nadler to do his bidding regarding a 'Mr Z'. We also learned Schiff hid testimony from his committee which proved Trump was concerned and asked about Ukraine corruption in '17 and '18, despite his arguing that DJT suddenly became interested once Biden became a candidate.
Schiff needs to be taken down. Rumour has it that there are photos of Schitt and dem druggie, gadfly, homosexual sex pervert murder Ed Buck. I've seen one and it looked like a pretty conventional campaign snapshot....hopefully there's more.
If Schiff can be exposed, discredited clearly and conclusively it's over.

I'd like to know who the supervisor was that the military staffer reported this conversation to. Why wasn't the White House Counsel notified? Why wasn't the Secret Service notified? If they were, why did they not react? Why weren't these two on-loan analysts sent packing back to their home organizations? Were their home agencies notified? Why was this allowed to fall into the cracks?
Government supervisors are held legally responsible for not reporting reported violations (criminal or otherwise) committed by their employees. Whether this was viewed as an actual threat against the president or not, it was a clear violation of the Hatch Act; basically the law against government employees choosing/pushing political sides at work. Where did this reported crime die in the administrative chain? At what level? Who was the person who let it die in 2017? Hopefully, someone is digging up this info as we speak.

Went want the Secret Service immediately notified and moved to detail and investigate these two co-conspirators? If they were so open and so hostile in saying they were going to "take down the President" that's a direct threat with an interpretation in common usage that could be taken as an assassination and not simply a removal from office. I want to know who were the superiors who chose to do nothing. They should be fired, and these two should be under surveillance if not indicted.

Eric Ciamarelli LONG AGO waived his "right" to anominity with his anti-Trump, pro-coup rhetoric.
The first Trump defense lawyer who says his name at the impeachment Schiff show should be nominated for the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Ciaramella must be most popular - the, er, man of the hour in a manner of speaking, among his pals in Dupont Circle. I wonder if his luster will wear off once Trump is re-elected and he is in jail.

I think there was a floating participle or whatever somewhere there... once Ciaramella is in jail, and Trump re-elected to office should clarify!

This article further begs the question: are CIA, NSC, and active duty military personnel on detail to the WH "intelligence apparatus" outside the control of the Chief Executive?
