Illinois lawmakers are raising questions about the integrity of state elections after the secretary of state admitted hundreds of non-citizens were registered as voters, and could have cast ballots illegally in the 2018 election.
In a letter, Secretary of State Jesse White’s office said a “programming error” in a signature pad at driver services facilities led to hundreds of non-U.S. citizens accidentally being registered as voters.
The Secretary of State’s Office said the problem has been fixed Tuesday, but state lawmakers and election authorities are just beginning to raise concerns.
“We view it as a significant problem," said Matt Dietrich of the Illinois State Board Of Elections.
In 2017, then-governor Bruce Rauner signed

A "programming error". Riiiight. That's it, Jessie. Couldn't possibly be voter fraud.

Illinois? Not a glitch--a bureaucratic strategy, Non-citizens comprise a major--and growing voter block of the overall democrat structure. Citizens who pay attention to American politics have understood this scheme for years.

A technical glitch, yeah, that's it. That explains over a hundred years of democrat corruption in Illinois.

First, it should be the responsible thing to ensure anyone who is here illegally, but obtaining a drivers license, but later votes is advised they can no longer apply for legal status, or become a United States citizen.
Second, if they find out they voted, but didn't, that person needs to report this promptly.
And, to all those Democrats who are advising otherwise, they should be called out by the immigration advocates as harming their constituency.
Lastly, install fingerprint technology on all of our voting machines which will be cross-referenced to all government data bases and across state lines. Mail-in ballots will need a place to apply fingerprint, and will be counted differently, more strictly to ensure integrity of the vote.

This was not an accident.
It was intentional.
Dems have aborted 40,000,000 voters. They need the illegals for their permanent majority.

Pikers!
They need to learn how California registers millions of non-citizens, knows about it, does nothing to correct it, and gets away with it.

Have to just love these democrats. They accuse Russia, a foreign country,of meddling in our elections. But they support illegals from a foreign country voting in our elections. Does this make sense to anyone with a brain.

It was no programming error and the numbers are in the tens of thousands. Totally unexpectedly unexpected and shocking that people could be dishonest.

Two points:
First, I am extremely skeptical that this was anything but a PLANNED process.
Second, there are probably many thousands more of illegals aliens registered to vote in Illinois.

When I applied for my real ID I had to answer a dozen or so questions for the Motor Voter. The questions were not straight forward so I'm afraid if answered incorrectly they might un-register me.

Well, my credit card company knows everything about me, my cell phone provider as well... not to mention what the government knows. The State or states could surely track everyone everywhere at all times if they wanted to... to determine anything from solvency, criminal behavior and yes, citizenship. But I like their weak attempt at dissembling. Nice try.

Funny how they can't seem to man up and be adults and say something like 'okay you caught us'. No, it is going to be brushed under the rug as a glitch. But will they clean the voter rolls out of all the ineligible voters? Stay tuned.

No Republicans have ever been registered to vote in any state by any of these "errors". Amazing these glitches are so one sided.

In addition to non-citizens who have been registered to vote, how many DEAD citizens and non-citizens are registered to vote? How many times are they allowed to vote? This is Illinois, you know. And Chicago is in Illinois.

This is very easy to fix. For good.
Jesse White/Illinois REQUIRES everyone who wants to fly on a commercial airline from October 1, 2020 onward to submit multiple documents (passport, residency, signature, etc.) in order to receive a "REAL ID". Simply make it required to show your REAL ID in order to be able to vote from now on. Problem solved.
If not, why not, Mr. Secretary of State?

There's that magical glitch excuse that happen every time the Left gets caught breaking the law. They'll say they're sorry, correct the 'honest' mistake, then re-register them when nobody is looking.

When was the last time a computer glitch went in our favor? Random mistakes should go either way, right? Oops computer glitch forgot to bill you for your car registration... or accidentally billed you to little for your Internet, etc... Never. It’s always against us and it’s always a computer error. BS Investigate, find the culprit and put them in jail!

For 50 years, I've been reading about the 'glitches' in Illinois voting. These glitches often involve names collected from graveyards

My 18th birthday was on a Sunday in 1981, in Illinois. The next day, I walked (small town) down to the post office and registered for the draft. Then I went another block to city hall and registered to vote. A few days later I got a couple letters in the mail, one with a voter registration card and one with a selective service card. To vote, I had to present one card at the polls. To go to college, I had to present the other card to receive student loans.
Since then, I’ve lived in three other states. They all registered me to vote when I converted my driving license from the previous state—they wanted proof of address, but didn’t (until recently, with Real ID) want proof of citizenship. I didn’t need to present anything at the polls to vote. I like the old way better—if you can’t be bothered to make a five-minute stop at the city clerk's office after you move, you probably shouldn’t be voting.
