Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) warned on Sunday’s broadcast of ABC’s “This Week” that if Republican senators do not allow witnesses in the impeachment of President Donald Trump, they will be held accountable by voters. Schiff said, “We will be fighting for a fair trial.”He continued, “If the Senate decides if the Senator McConnell prevails and there are no witnesses, it will be the first impeachment trial that goes to conclusion without witnesses. The atmosphere in the Senate when I came with the other House managers, and we read the articles was one befitting something that has only happened three times in the nation’s history.

Will Shifty Schiff be held accountable for lying? Hopefully if witnesses are called he will lie under oath and be prosecuted by the DOJ and forced to resign.

I think the Democrats, especially Nancy, Schiff and Nadler will be held accountable. BUT the rest of the Democrats in the House who voted yes for impeachment will also pay a price for dragging the country through this Sham just to try and hurt Trump. The whole Bunch of them knew from the start he wouldn't actually be run out of office, but they are hoping it will hurt his chance of re-election. Funny Thing happened on the way to the Impeachment, the BLAME has turned on the Democrats and Trump is raking in Millions and having Thousands show up at his Rallys! Beep Beep!

First, it isn't a trial. Its a poltical process. Trials allow the defended to subpeana and question witnesses, to file motions based on law and to face their accusers. And an open process just to name a few. Nothing like that took place in the double secret probation world of the House. Second, Senators are not impartial and not jurors. Jurors are not subject to the opinions of their constituents during a trial. Senators are. The question isn't abpout Democrats. We know they are impartial and all that wand will vote to remove Trump without any case presented whatsoever. What Schiff needs to know is will 20 Rebublican Senators vote to remove Trump and be held accountable at the ballot box.

Did the leftist and liberal Democrats give President Trump a fair impeachment inquisition in the House of Representatives before they shipped the fiasco to the Senate?

All President Trumps defense has to do is ask Schiffhead how many witnesses the Presidents defenders in the house got to call, and then ask him if he believed that was fair.

Is Bull Schiff a House manager, acting as a lawyer in this matter?
If so, is he held accountable for knowingly withholding his own House witness testimony, and exculpatory evidence in a legal sense?
What about all the other managers, who are lawyers too, aren't they expected to be held to a higher level of understanding due to lawyers are professional degrees (much like accountants and such)?

The sheer hubris and shameless hypocrisy of this statement from the seditious fraud that ran the kangaroo court in the House can not be overstated. Anyone capable of this kind of mendacity and hate is a political psychopath that should be impeached for violating his Constitutional oath at the earliest opportunity. The Senate should heed the arguments from the President's team that any effort to lend credibility or constitutional validity to the partisan fraud that the House Democrats have committed will damage the fabric of this country for generations to come. Only a swift and damning rebuke of this political crime will be sufficient to hopefully dispel future despots like Schiff from pulling this kind of crap in the future.

If Schiff for Brains had paid attention in high school civics he would know that it is the accused not the accuser who is entitled to a fair. The accuser has to prove guilt. The accused doesn't have to prove anything. Hope pencil neck has to testify under oath and is charged with perjury.

I predicted this. The dopey lefoids have sent the articles to the senate, but they didn't get to set the rules for the trial. So when they are voted down, they will wail that it was all a cover up by the pubbies and the whole senate portion was "unfair". Predictable as the sunrise.

Don’t dismiss Schiff’s disgusting antics because he knows that the Senate Dems vicious smear of Kavanaugh AFTER the formal Senate confirmation hearing helped make Pelosi Speaker of House 7 weeks later, If lies and gross distortions of the truth about Kavanaugh worked 18 months ago, why won’t they work this November? Especially if your 6 remaining candidates are viewed as too weak to defeat President Trump.
Power achieved through lies and false charges is viewed the same as voting fraud on Election Day if you’re a Democrat. To quote Harry Reid, “We won, didn’t we.”

Does Schiff think no one watched the Impeachment Inquiry; he treated the Republicans as if they were bystanders. Fair trial, indeed; Schiff does not understand the meaning of a fair trial.

Republicans in the senate are cowards. They should’ve adopted the exact same rules the house did for impeachment. Exact. Same. The Constitution does not state any rules. They should’ve thrown the house democrats tactics right back in their face. Republicans are now behind the ball. This is ridiculous. What a travesty. My faith in fair government is down to 0.

A fair trial? What an insufferably arrogant dickhe@d Schiff is. A fair trial would end with Schiff and the rest of the Democrats responsible for the Russia fraud, illegal surveillance, and illegal leaking all being carted off to the supermax in the middle of the Rockies.

Isn’t the accused supposed to have a fair trial? The House in the impeachment hearings had free rein to choose its witnesses and preclude any defense. Now it is Trump’s turn. There is nothing unfair about limiting the House to the transcripts of their witnesses. The only reason live witnesses would be necessary would be if the defense wanted to further cross-examine. As for new witnesses, why didn’t they call them in the House hearings? They could have. Instead, they sat on their hands while Nanny delayed things for a month. Why didn’t they vote to reopen the investigation during that time? That said, I’m betting that the Republicans will tell them they can take the depositions of additional witnesses if they do so within a short period of time. Remember how the Kavanaugh hearings kept getting extended? I think there will be some accommodation here but it won’t be enough for the Democrats, who will still complain.

Well, that’s rich coming from a crooked liar like Schiff who made the rules up as he went along. He promised everything and delivered nothing. Stood the impeachment precedent on its head and he still continues to lie by commission and omission. Had any legal scholars come forth during his Impeachment reign complaining of his behavior we may have not been subjected to his face in the Senate. Just goes to show that those who claim to revere the law actually only revere the democrat agenda.

I certainly intend to hold Democrats accountable for this whole impeachment farce, It will be a long time before I cast another vote for a Democrat.
I wonder if Schiff has ever given that a thought, especially since so many democrats are attending Trump rallies.

My brother was telling me about some footage he saw recently of Adam Schiff speaking in his district to his own constituency and he could hardly get a word in amid the shouts of “liar” and the rowdy opposition to impeachment. I don’t know the source, but if that’s really what’s happening, Schiff-for-brains may find out all about accountability ... just not in the way he thinks.
