House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher" Friday night after officially sending the articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump to the Senate, and took questions on a whole host of issues. In addition to discussing Trump's impeachment and her delay transmitting the articles for a Senate trial, Pelosi and Maher also discussed her reputation in the Democratic Party. It was the liberal Democrats who almost threw the country into depression by providing the atmosphere and wherewithal for the lending crisis because of all the bad mortgages that they engineered for people who had no money to pay back the mortgage money they were handed. When it comes to the Obama stimulus money, where did it go, to the big banks of course, with a lot of the people who voted for Obama and the Democrats ending up with a “free” Obamaphone and a lot of “hope and change” that never came about. Can you believe that under the current set up in DC that Nancy Pelosi would be the President if Trump and Pence are removed from the picture! I’m sure Pelosi as President that would scare the Ayatollahs, the Chinese, and the Russians.

I will say it again, Nancy and her minions are traitors (I see the press that way also)- plain and simple. I see democrats as racists and bigots. They hate that more minorities are working and not dependent on them anymore. It makes the democrats seethe that they are now independent. Now when a democrat opens their mouth to criticize President Trump (as they freely do), I am going to ask them why they are such racists. I'm tired of being polite.

WASHINGTON — No cellphones. No talking. No escape. That's the reality during the Senate's impeachment trial of President Donald Trump, which will begin each day with a proclamation: “All persons are commanded to keep silence, on pain of imprisonment.” After that, 100 senators will sit at their desks for hours on end to hear from House prosecutors, Trump’s defense team and possibly a series of witnesses. The first time the proclamation was used, in the 1868 trial of President Andrew Johnson, lawmakers couldn’t have imagined life in the modern era. The pace of today's politics would have been hard to

If the Trump era has taught us anything, it's that large numbers of white people in the United States are motivated at least in part by racism in the voting booth. Donald Trump ran an openly racist campaign for president, calling Mexicans rapists and criminals, regularly retweeting white supremacists and at least initially balking at repudiating former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. Trump made it clear in his campaign that "Make America Great Again" meant that America was greater when white people's power was more sweeping and more secure. White voters approved of that message by a whopping 58 percent to 37 percent.

President Donald Trump made a stark appeal to black Americans during the 2016 election when he asked, “What have you got to lose?” Three years later, black Americans have rendered their verdict on his presidency with a deeply pessimistic assessment of their place in the United States under a leader seen by an overwhelming majority as racist. The findings come from a Washington Post-Ipsos poll of African Americans nationwide, which reveals fears about whether their children will have a fair shot to succeed and a belief that white Americans don’t fully appreciate the discrimination that black people experience.
