You have to give credit to congressional Democrats for one thing: They are an extremely hopeful bunch. After years of Russia investigations aimed at toppling Donald Trump, they came away with what Grandmother would have called “bupkis.” But, not daunted, they quickly latched onto a whistleblower report about a phone call with Ukraine, and launched an up tempo effort, one last-ditch attempt to take the president down.
The result of this exertion did include a vote to impeach Trump, (Snip). But wait! Now former National Security Adviser John Bolton has agreed to testify if called, and the Democrats are racing toward Lucy again, confident this time she won’t move the football.

FTA:
We know from the impeachment testimony that Bolton was almost certainly not happy with the way the Ukraine situation was handled. Like other establishment foreign policy figures, he was probably not a fan of the credence that Trump gave to Rudy Giuliani’s concerns over Ukraine. But ultimately, so what? We already know many diplomats and career officials disagreed with it. The question is whether it was a legitimate act of presidential power, or an attempt to bribe Ukraine into investigating Hunter Biden and by extension, Joe Biden.
On that point, what can John Bolton possibly say that would prove Trump’s intent was malicious, and not genuine concern about taxpayer dollars falling into corrupt hands? Is he really going to say, “The president told me he doesn’t care about corruption, he just wanted to get that pesky Joe Biden and get him good?” Is there anyone on the face of the planet who thinks that such a conversation could have taken place?

Disgruntled fired bureaucrats disagree with policy making elected officials. In this case with the Chief Executive and Head of State. That is grounds of impeachment and premature removal?? Can they even hear themselves?

Um, yeah, I wondered why this was touted as such a SCAWY interview. Meh! I'm just not seeing it.

Bolton wasn't born yesterday. He'e seen how the Democrats have attacked Trump relentlessly since he came down the escalator at Trump Tower, and knows they are a despicable, thieving. lying bunch.
Bolton may not be happy with how things ended between him and Trump. But I sincerely doubt he would do anything to aid and abet this treasonous overthrow of the President.
Bolton is, first and foremost, an American patriot.
His testimony will blow up in Pelosi's face.

What will Democrats do when Bolton doesn't say what they are hoping for?
If the Senate allows witnesses, Democrats will turn this into another Kavanaugh circus with sudden and surprise witnesses, one after the other.

I pray that Bolton, once affectionately dubbed the "President of Red Eye", remembers that conservatives were very supportive of him and appreciated his commentary. We have all found ourselves at odds with our bosses along the way, but that is not justification for turning against them, and worse. It would feel like betrayal should be choose to play the personal vendetta card.

And my grandmother would have called it "gotz."

Don't dismiss this out-of-hand. All the Never-Trumpers believe they are the True Conservatives and supporters of the President have been deluded. Where does John Bolton stand, and who does he stand with?

Bolton may be criticized as a war monger but I doubt he would want a civil war. If the anti Trump people prevail and Trump is removed on these bogus charges, that’s what we will get.

All that Bolton said was that he would testify if subpoenaed to do so. He said this right after Biden said that he would refuse to testify if subpoenaed to do so.

Dems have been throwing unicorns against the wall to see if any of them might stick since Trump declared his candidacy. Bolton is just another one. He won't stick either. Dems are always saying, "NOW we have him! THIS is the BOMBSHELL! The WALLS are closing in!". They have delivered on nothing and made fools of themselves for years. Failing impeachment, which is almost certain, the dems are trolling for embarrassing tidbits to use against Trump for the election. They have done this unsuccessfully over and over. Their impeachment witlesses were a major embarrassment. Their "whistleblower" couldn't hold a tune. If we didn't have the Senator RHINOs Three, this would have been wrapped up before now.

Everyone knows the Democrats will twist his testimony for their own purposes. Doesn't matter in the slightest what Bolton actually says. End the impeachment sham! End it now! The Dems will scream. So what? They already are in hysterics.

John Bolton is a neocon warmonger. He is not going to help the Democrats oust President Trump and Vice-President Pence and create a situation where Nancy Pelosi would assume the Presidency without ever being elected. If the Republican Senators voted for that, they would be committing political suicide as far as most Republicans who are Trump supporters are concerned.
