Gabriel Sherman is a widely published writer of articles in some of the country’s leading mainstream magazines. Currently, he’s a Vanity Fair special correspondent in addition to being a frequent NBC News/MSNBC contributor. (snip) On Friday, it appears that Sherman was finally hoisted on his own petard – or, in the current vernacular, “punked.” Appearing on fellow Vanity Fair special correspondent Nick Bilton’s podcast Inside the Hive, hosted on the magazine’s servers, Sherman told an anecdote that he and Bilton gleefully agreed summed up “the latest evidence of the president’s mental decay.”

Funny story but I believe the term should be "hoist on his own petard," not "hoisted."

Liberals project all the time. They project their dishonesty, their immorality, their hate. Now they're projecting their 'mental decay'.

This is like shooting fish in a barrel or fishing for fish in a full barrel. Any bait you toss in is going to result in a catch and the fish is too dumb to know it's on a hook.

Sherman is the ultimate girly man, judging by the pix. I'm sure he and Butt-gig are close buddies. How stupid does one have to be to fall for this? Clearly, pretty stupid. And Luntz must be having a great time telling about the fools that believed his OBVIOUS joke was real. Makes you wonder how stupid this Sherman wussy was before the TDS wiped out the rest of what he uses for a brain.

Hollywood celebrity is tough to shuck, at least for Meghan Markle, last seen in a starring role as Duchess of Sussex. Instead of marveling at her fairy tale ending with her marriage to Prince Harry in the U.K., she's made it clear she wants to go back to the Hollywood celebrity circuit, that "b" list group that makes loud leftwing noises to get attention -- and movie roles. Harry can come along for the ride if he wants, but he's probably going to get chewed up and spat out in the long run. She'll dump him when he gets inconvenient. It took the American mass disinformation media and the Democrats three years of Trump's presidency to finally develop a coherent policy of confronting Trump. This policy is very primitive: everything that Trump does is denied, rejected, and negated. Everything. As a result, the opposition's reaction began to resemble the reaction of Pavlovian dogs — any statement by Trump, any action by Trump, and any achievement of Trump can cause only one thing — salivation of total negation. However, the complete and unconditional denial of everything makes the Democrats predictable and, as a result, vulnerable

People in Toledo started lining up by the thousands to see President Trump’s latest rally. Their wait paid off, for whether they were inside the Huntington Center or outside watching on a big screen, Trump was in top form, speaking about his myriad accomplishments; savaging his opponents, whether in the media or in Congress; and using the usual half-boastful, half-deprecating jokes that the Left doesn’t understand but that conservatives adore. Despite chilly temperatures, hours before the rally began thousands of people began to line up for the chance to get a seat the venue:

(snip) If Trudeau proves right, this will not be the first time an anxious military accidentally shot down a non-threatening commercial aircraft. One major point is being overlooked concerning the “impeachment”: now that the impeachment weapon has been unsheathed, and swung, and shattered into myriad pieces without so much as scratching its target, the Dems have absolutely nothing to use against Trump. (snip) they hit him with an attempt to subvert electors, with the Mueller investigation, with the emoluments clause, with the 25th Amendment, and then with impeachment. And all of it simply bounced off. As it stands, Donald Trump is now beyond any legal, procedural method of harassment. He has been investigated to a fare-thee-well, and less has been found than would on you, me, or the Dalai Lama

Less than a week after the rubout of Iranian terrorist kingpin Qassem Soleiman, quite a few pundits are dishing opinions to the press. Some are good, and others, such as Ben Rhodes, are an embarrassment. Some of the best stuff, though, comes from the people who watch the Iranians as a matter of survival - the Israelis. It's pretty useful to know how the Israelis are reading things in the wake of Soleimani being sent to collect his virgins, given that Israel has some impressive analysts. It is hard to understand Iran Supreme Leader Khamenei’s blunder in attacking the US Embassy in Baghdad. He either believed Trump was weakened by his impeachment, as western liberal Media breathlessly and continuously reported, or he might have been misled by John Kerry’s incompetent advice (apparently Kerry met again with Khamenei’s emissaries in Paris just few weeks ago). Whatever the reasons, his goal of triggering a limited war with America to rally his people around the regime has failed miserably. Iran desperately wanted a war -- drone attacks on Saudi Arabia’s heart of oil production, false-flag hits on oil tankers, unrest in Yemen – all aimed at this goal.

The assassination of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani is an unusual, possibly aberrant, event. The killing of this individual leader of a sovereign state may lead to all-out war between Iran and the U.S. — or, on the other hand, the assassination may bring an end to the cycle of Iranian violence countered by U.S. and world diplomatic flatulence and appeasement. (snip) the Iranians have been in an undeclared war with the U.S. since the ayatollahs and their religiously inspired and power-mad henchmen took over the reins of government from the despotic but pro-American Shah in the seventies.

Harry and Meghan don’t know how good they have it. They want to bust out of their gilded cage and roam free, but they’re so naive they’re like fluffy kitties who have never crossed a busy road before and are likely to get squashed if they try. A key motivation to the shocking Megxit announcement this week — even as the Queen warned Meghan and Prince Ginger Whiskers against going public with their moronic plan — was their fury with the media. They hate the “Royal Rota” system, in which a designated royal reporter and photographer cover their events as representatives of the entire media and the royals

For most of the twenty-first century, the world’s oldest surviving democracy has been led by a chief executive who received fewer votes than his opponent in an election for the position. The first of these executives started a war based on false pretenses that killed hundreds of thousands of civilians. The second — a serial abuser of women who hired as his campaign manager a lobbyist for violent dictatorships - authorized an immigration policy that forcibly separated migrant children from their families and indefinitely detained them in facilities described as “concentration camps.” Democracy, as they say, is messy.

The New Jersey Democrat's announcement came a day before six presidential candidates will participate in the CNN/Des Moines Register's debate in Des Moines, Iowa. He did not qualify for the event.
