Teen climate change activist Greta Thunberg plans to join other youth at the World Economic Forum later this month in Davos, Switzerland, where they will admonish world leaders for providing subsidies to the oil and gas industry, which is responsible, in part, for advancing civilization by providing abundant and affordable energy. The World Economic Forum website posted a commentary written by Thunberg and other youth activists and published in the Guardian.“Anything less than immediately ceasing these investments in the fossil fuel industry would be a betrayal of life itself,” Thunberg wrote in the Guardian, including the youth’s demands:

Hey Greta, the typical human being produces two tons of carbon dioxide a year. Even if you were to shut up right now, you'd still be putting out that much CO2. So what are you going to do about yourself?

I don't know who this child's parents are but they should be ashamed of using their daughter this way.

Nothing more than a carnival side show. Once this fizzles, they'll dig up a 10-year-old to do it.

Special “needers” like Greta should be not heard by anyone outside the family. It’s embarrassing. Please take her home and quiet her. The adults are talking.

This is another example of circular logic, just like the "evidence" provided by the FBI for the FISA warrant against Carter Page, where the Steele dossier was backed up by a Yahoo News report which was based on information provided by Christopher Steele. This time the left-wing education systems have fed the "man-made carbon dioxide is causing global warming" fiction to children, and the left-wing news media give front-page coverage when the children regurgitate the story.

She'll be a celebrity to the group sheeple at the World Economic Forum. Sad to hear this. Was she left alone a lot as a small child? Does she have any friends? Does she have a pet? I hope she gets some help or someone who cares diverts her attention in another direction. If not, I don't expect her story to have a happy ending...but in actuality, isn't that what she's predicting for herself?

so little smartypants, while you are giving your speech, explain why, if democrats are against fossil fuel, do their kids all work for a gas company in the Ukraine. I sure would like to know the answer

She's 16 and the liberals want 16-year-old people as voters. She is 16 and all she says is scripted by the advocates of climate change. No one can actually define what climate change is or what is causing what they believe to be an unnatural phenomenon,

Has anyone clued them in to her father’s confession that the only reason they went along with her climate obsession was because she was found to have Asperger’s Syndrome and was harming herself by not eating for a year? One feature of autism is obsession with single ideas or behaviors and perseveration. The world is supposed to listen to this sick-minded kid?

She needs help...and by help I mean being forced to live on a living history portrayal of Scandinavian subsistence agriculture prior to the industrial revolution. Doing farm chores from dark till dusk using the primitive implements that time while burning kindling, pete, or dried animal dung to keep warm would be a valuable educational experience for her. It would also be the first time she has ever actually worked in her entire life. The experience of being physically tired, cold, and hungry would also cure her mental illness. She would no longer have any trouble sleeping or eating.

Wow, a 17 year old high school dropout is going to read a script that someone else wrote.
Yeah, that is so impressive (not).
I'm shocked all her enviro-Nazi supporters in Hollyweird haven't offered her some acting gigs. That is all she does on a daily basis as is. We have all seen her try to talk without a script. Pure insanity, with no coherent thoughts.
That poor girl has been mentally abused, and needs serious psychiatric help -- not more mental abuse!!!!!
