A man was arrested Thursday for allegedly slugging a 23-year-old woman so hard it knocked out two of her teeth—and he has a history of similar “completely unprovoked” attacks against women, law enforcement sources told The Post. Eugene Webb, 26, allegedly ran up to a 23-year-old woman who was walking on West Houston Street near Sullivan Street around 6 a.m. on Wednesday and punched her in the face, authorities said. The blow knocked out two of her pearly whites, but Webb—who police say is homeless—continued to clobber the woman, shoving her against a parked cab

Since this POS is homeless, please, by all means, give him a place to stay for the next 20 years! And I don't mean the Hilton hotel!!!

Calling teeth "pearly whites" is unnecessarily dismissive of the crime and the injury, too cute by way more than half. The victim not only has immediate damage to treat and deal with, she may well have a lifetime of dental problems developing from what happened.

Women should carry weapons when out of the home. A screwdriver, ice pick, small hammer, baton, drywall knife, boxcutter, plastic blind control, sharp rings, bear spray, anything to make street vermin like this pay tenfold for their insane attacks. She now has thousands of dollars in dental work to look forward to.

The lesson should be clear to women everywhere, STOP voting for Rats. A tiny percentage of women will start to see the obvious, but the rest will continue to live in a fantasy. Any woman who isn't in a defensive mindset when walking alone is dangerously naive.
Eugene targeted women because Eugene only wants to hit victims. Any man sort of close to his size terrifies Eugene. He resolved the cowardly conflict in his demented mind by hitting women, which is the perfect argument for a handgun for anyone who doesn't want to be a punching bag for Eugene. Too bad generations of Rats and their allies have been able to pass and enforce unconstitutional gun bans in that town. The only place in the state that is somehow able to make up it's own laws that defy the STATE law on concealed carry. If only the cesspool city of NYC was truly a separate state. You would see a new Red state if the parasites were cut loose and nonsense like illegals driving around and voting would never have happened.

Great idea, #8, but IIRC it is specifically illegal in NYC to carry anything that can be construed as a weapon.
And of course if you aren't a millionaire, you won't get a concealed carry permit, either.
If you value your safety, stay out of NYC. Just that simple.

Add me to #7's column: The "pearly whites" comment was disrespectful of the serious injuries this victim suffered. Over and over I ask, "Where are the editors? Do they employ editors at all anymore?"

Excuse me, he failed to show up in court? Why wasn't he detained. Is it suddenly just a petty crime to knock someone's teeth out?

^^Well, I see he was detained for the most recent attack. But why wasn't he detained in September, after he punched another woman in the face? And why wasn't he brought to trial and convicted and sent to prison? It looks like New York has the same set-the-criminals-free policy as Chicago.

Sorry to post again, but why should women have to walk around armed? This was a serial criminal who was allowed out time and again to commit more crimes. These cretins who commit supposedly petty crimes (in what universe is punching someone in the face petty?) should be taken off the street at the first offense. He claims to be mentally ill, but he is smart enough to know that there will be no consequences for his behavior. I'm sure he would catch on also if the opposite were true.

People have to go around armed because gorillas like this exist. Even in areas where the police care about protecting the innocent, they are almost never right there to do it and even if they were the SCOTUS said they aren't required to. In NYC they aren't even interested. Ultimately, the only person you can trust to defend you is you.

This wouldn't have happened under Giuliani's watch. Republican Mayors clean up NYC, then the Democrats get a Mayor elected and the city goes straight to hell. This is what you get for electing DeBlasio, New Yorkers.

There's little the average woman can do to defend against this sort of hit-and-run attack. By the time she got her screwdriver out of her pocket or purse, he'd be halfway down the street.
There should be some sort of "three strikes" law against seriously violent mentally ill individuals, locking them up for at least 20 years or until they're old enough to be physically feeble.

So, he commits assault, and presuming 2 new teeth will cost around $5000 to replace, is this not a felony?

#19, it will cost more than $5,000 to replace the teeth right. A bridge is an antiquated method. She will need implants, which will probably cost $15,000.

Don't arrest him. Remove his punching arm and release him back to the street. He'll be thinking twice before committing another crime. Diabolical behavior must be met with diabolical consequences.

#15, in all due respect, and while I agree with your basic concept, that we should be putting this kind of animal in prison permanently, the REALITY today in many places is that there is little effort by "the authorities" to actually protect private citizens from these violent thugs.
The hard reality is that today, it is prudent to be able to defend oneself from such random, violent attacks.
Harsh reality, sad to say. But the good news is that in at least 41 or 42 states, an honest citizen can easily obtain a permit to carry a gun. In about 14 states, the Second Amendment is the rule and any adult who can legally own a gun may carry it concealed without a "government permission slip". In places like NYC, where even a NY state concealed carry permit (not easily obtained) is not valid, it is very, very difficult for an honest person to be armed in any way to protect themselves and remain within the law.
I sympathize with your view, but it is not in synch with reality these days, unfortunately.

What #7 (and #12) said. "Serial slugger?" This is a violent crime, not a comic book.
Allowing insane people to occupy our streets is, itself, an act of madness. I was just listening to Dr. Drew Pinsky's speech to President Trump's White House symposium on "homelessness". I thought it was brilliant. You can see an edit here: https://youtu.be/K2k0r51XnKc .
His comments on Anosognosia really struck home for me. It is a medical condition that prevents people from recognizing their own disability. Street people may not be able to recognize their own illness, but we can. And must.
The politicians who speak about street people as if they are part of a housing problem are part of the problem. I can no longer tell whether these politicians are stupid themselves, or they so cynically evil that they would condemn street people to die in misery, while placing us all at risk, just to prove a socio-political point.
Bottom line: Mentally ill people living on the streets need to be picked up and humanely institutionalized. Crazy people attacking others need to be stopped immediately and -- if necessary -- permanently. And we need our government to stop lying about what "homelessness" is and what causes it.

This kind of person needs to be either in prison permanently, or in a mental ward with locked doors, also permanently. In much of the country, if he stays out, he would eventually get shot. But in NYC, he is free to predate again and again and again, with no real consequences.
