Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are stepping down as “senior royals,” planning to cut financial ties to the queen (while still vowing to support Her Majesty and their patronages) and to split their time between the U.K. and North America. Kindly pass the fainting couch.(Snip)At the same time, the Sussexes have long been on a path to transition from rank-and-file royals to global superstars, in the vein of their friends George and Amal Clooney, Barack and Michelle Obama, or Beyoncé and Jay-Z (with whom they mingled at last summer’s Lion King premiere). These larger-than-life couples belong not to one institution or industry, but have elevated

A good way to really anger the Queen even more is to strike a deal with Netflix or Hollywood. I would think any deal would still need her approval.

They are selling his birthright, via their trademarking of Sussex Royals. They plan to sell all sorts of wonderful (sleazy) things, like hoodies and socks emblazoned with their trademark logo. Just like the Kardashians. They say they will be funding their foundation (since the real story of the of the multi-billion dollar Clinton Foundation became public, I am very leery of foundations.) I feel very sorry for the Royal Family. And ashamed that it is an American woman who seems to be at the root of all of this.

We used to call people like that "famous for being famous" and make fun of them, like Zsa Zsa Gabor, who at least had the wit to make fun of herself.

My pet theory is that up to now the royal family has let Prince Harry have his way out of fear he would disclose the identity of his real father.

Meghan and Harry are the Windsors redux without the class, panache, or chic. At least the 'cafe society' the Windsors were accused of haunting had some style. These tedious leftists will consort with their equally boring leftist celebrities. I hope Queen Michael of Kent is proudly wearing her blackamoor brooch.

I think once they separate from the Queen and are no longer "Royals", they will find their popularity will go downhill. They will no longer have anything to offer. They will no longer be able to have parties in Castles. They will no longer be able to invite the Clooneys and Obamas to upper class parties given by the Queen. All that will go out the window when they become "commoners"!

What do you want to bet that Harry keeps some of his financial ties to the royal purse like his 'allowance'? I am old enough to remember Wallis and her abdicating Eddie swanning around at big parties. The word was that if you comped their hotel room or limo, etc. they would come to your party and you could get snob appeal points because they showed up. In this case, I think Harry and his bimbo wife have overrated their potential attraction. They certainly have little or no appeal to us rubes out here in fly-over country. If I were the Queen, I would strip them of all titles. It's my guess she won't though. George VI allowed his brother to take the title of Duke of Windsor and she will probably allow them something similar.

Reading other articles about this they still hope to get 95% of their yearly income given to them by Prince Charles, their security detail, also keep the Frogmore Cottage so they have a home in the England. If they want to be independent then they should give up all those perks or at least pay for it with their own money they hope to make.

Zsa Zsa Gabor and her sisters had more beauty, brains and class than this Markle trollop would ever dream of having… Zsa Zsa could be very, very funny. And she was gorgeous. I saw her in Las Vegas a long time ago when the Tropicana opened. One of the most beautiful women imaginable, perfectly dressed in a gorgeous gown, lovely skin and hair. And funny. She was not performing. Simply another guest in the casino with a group of friends.

What they don’t realize, in their infantile arrogance, is that the only interest they hold for anyone is their royal status. Once that is gone, Harry the Bald joins Meghan as just another really common commoner.

Harry is 1/2040 royal.
I have more royal blood than Harry which is to say NEITHER of us has royal blood. In fact, I think Senator Warren has more royal blood than both Harry and me put together.

For those who are still batting the James Hewitt rumor around, Diana Spencer had a number of close relatives - male and female - with ginger hair and who look like Harry. If James Hewitt had any other color hair, this story would never have gotten off the ground...

More re the question of Harry’s father:
“A simple comparison of dates proves it is impossible for Hewitt to be Harry’s father. Only once did I ever discuss it with her, and Diana was in tears about it,” Wharfe wrote. “Harry was born on September 15, 1984, which means he was conceived around Christmas 1983, when his brother, William, was 18 months old. Diana did not meet James Hewitt until the summer of 1986.”
And Diana’s brother and sister are both redheads.

And more. Have a look at Diana’s red-haired father John Spencer in his WWII military uniform.
"Today" also released three family pictures of John Spencer, whose red hair and facial features show where Prince Harry got his ginger looks. Charles Spencer, whose red hair has gone gray, also still strongly resembles his father in his youth.

I feel sorry for Harry. I am sure he loves his son very much, and he does not want to lose him; though I think I read that it will never happen according to English Law which Ms. Meghan will have to abide by.

The family has a major soap opera every so many years. I imagine some other royal families must shake their heads. “Here they go again..” The couple is far from perfect but then so is this intensely dysfunctional
family. Their main concern is the family business - not “family.” Its mostly a battle fought in the press just as with Diana. The BRF press people leak to their favorite sycophants who spread the narrative round in the press. Diana did not win against it and neither will this goofy couple. Evil will be exposed eventually.
