Felicity Huffman, Cats, Joe Pesci, the Catholic Church, Judi Dench and James Corden got the Ricky Gervais treatment during the opening monologue of tonight’s Golden Globe Awards, but none took the brunt of the host’s jibes quite as sharply as Hollywood itself. Casting the industry town as hypocritically woke – with a Jeffrey Epstein joke thrown in for good measure – the notoriously scathing British comic advised Golden Globe winners to skip the moralizing. Said Gervais, “Thank your agent and your God and…” The rest was bleeped, but he seemed to say something along the lines of “then get the

Absolutely outstanding, and overdue.
Ricky, you'll never work in that town again.

It does seem like the tide is turning against the left. Terry Gilliam yesterday, Ricky Gervais today.

Gervais was hilarious! I was howling. Not sure what was funnier. His remarks, or the looks on the faces in the audience.
On a related note, some woman named Arquette - hugest bosoms I’ve ever seen, btw - she forgot to wear a top. Anyway, she launched into some sanctimonious, angry lecture about Trump and war and received only weak applause. That was surprising and refreshing.

Spielberg and Hanks looked like they ate some bad oysters. Brad Pitt and Adam Driver were laughing.
I never watch those circle-jerk awards ceremonies and next to none of their movies. Twitter posts.

It was epic. Total no holds barred broadside against the Hollywood hypocrisy and perversions. Watch the video and see the elitists get called out right to their faces, in their protected turf. The few PC speeches were very predictable. Gervais commentary was not and was absolutely the last thing most of the 'celebrities' wanted to hear.

He said they have no right to lecture anybody on anything , they know nothing about the real world & they use cheap labor in China to advance.

Not to mention - how many movies are filmed overseas or in Canada to avoid taxes? Hypocrites!

Now THAT was a "roast!" It's about time somebody speak to these spoiled privileged brats like to know-nothings they are. His monologue/lecture will go down in the history of these "Let's all pat each other on the back awards" for decades to come.

I watched the clip and as much as I enjoyed it, it wasn't as firm a smack as the hollywierd bunch needs. Thanks Ricky. I hope it was real for you.

Now, that's entertainment! I haven't enjoyed watching Tom Hanks that much in years. Truth to power, baby, truth to power. Poor make-believe commies, they've never considered that one day they would be "the power". LOL.

The everyday Ricky Gervais pegs the needle as far to the left as anyone else in that room. Get tonight told the truth about that collective. Keenly self-aware.
His two seasons of the original Brit version of "The Office" will split your sides.

This is just perfect. What will the leftists in Hollywood do to Ricky now without looking like they couldn't take a joke when it's on them? He doesn't need them and that puts him in a whole different league than past hosts.
I'll be watching Ricky whenever I can. His 2019 " After Life" on Netflix was one of the best movies I've seen in many years.

IIRC, the GG are the foreign Press's party so they can invite whomever they want to host. Ricky was impressive last night, and he may have earned himself some new fans. The Hollywood crowd thinks it is all about them, when they need to start thinking about the impression they are leaving the rest of the world. This is not the Oscars for Americans, this is the GG for the foreign press.
