Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., insists that if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi does not deliver articles of impeachment against President Trump to the Senate by the end of the week, the Senate should "take matters in our own hands." Graham accused Pelosi of playing political games and trying to exert control over the Senate trial by keeping it from starting. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., recognized Friday on the Senate floor the chamber's rules prevented him from doing anything until Pelosi does her part, but Graham proposed a solution that could remove what McConnell has called an "impasse" in the process.

I think they should have a vote up front to dismiss the case.
But, if that can't happen, then this plan would be OK. Frankly, taking Pelosi and Schiff at all seriously is doing a great disservice to the country, to the President and to the Constitution.

The Senate should vote up front and dismiss this case. There is no benefit in the Senate flailing around for weeks on something they know now they are going to vote down.

Don't waste another penny or a single minutes more time. Vote to dismiss and get on with the business of making America greater.

The Kavannah fiasco was the dress rehearsal for this. The dims and big media worked together to delay and stretch out those hearings with the hope that something would turn up and the republicans would fold and give in. I say let Mitch handle this. He’s holding all the cards.

Graham appears to be a step behind the junior senator from MO, who wants to submit resolution to dismiss on Monday.

How can the Senate dismiss charges that have not come to them? If they try that, I could see the Speaker appealing the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court, and I could see Chief Judas John Roberts an the three witches and Breyer ruling against the Senate.
And even if Roberts, in his drugged up haze, stays out of it, the dimocrats in the House will manufacture new articles of impeachment.
We are at a grand impasse. The only matter the Senate can act on is judicial appointments and agency appointments.
I like that.

Tell her to Schiff or get off the pot. Can't someone send her on a world tour via hot air balloon?

How about removing the last three words of this headline. My ideal world is Pelosi free.

Treat the impeachment as a non impeachment until she delivers. Give her a deadline to deliver, and when she doesn't deliver, consider it cancelled. Hold Biden and Obama hearings, and let us see them squirm.

Until the articles arrive there is no case to dismiss. This is ol' Graham trying to appear relevant. Mitch isn't going to ever have any trial, protecting the UNIPARTY profiteers, and sure as heck isn't going to provoke a Constitutional crisis by voting for a premature dismissal. Phony "Impeachment" serves everyone well by hanging like passed gas in a small room.

Graham is right. BTW, there is a kind of precedent for this situation. A grand jury indicted the Ramseys for the death of their daughter, Jon Benet. The prosecutor refused to move forward on the indictment because he didn’t think the indictment was supported by the evidence.. That is same conclusion that must be drawn from Pelosi’s refusal to move forward. She knows there is no impeachable offense.

The concluding paragraph strikes to the heart of what most decent, honest, patriotic Americans supporting President Trump would prefer and that is, “If they (articles of impeachment) don’t come, dismiss the case and get on with governing the country.”
