A federal appeals court in Washington heard warnings Friday that how they rule in the House Judiciary Committee’s legal fights for information from the Trump administration could spark an avalanche of congressional lawsuits, or even a potential gunfight between the House sergeant at arms and the FBI security detail for Attorney General William Barr. (Snip) Letter said it was “stunning” to think that Barr would not turn over the information if the D.C. Circuit ruled that the House was entitled to it. The House would have to send out its sergeant at arms to collect the grand jury information

Trump could appeal to the Supreme Court, l believe. And what happens if the Circuit court rules in favor of Trump?

Well the House lawyer certainly has a strange view of separation of powers. Plus he seems to think he can arrest people. Wow, if there was EVER a time to define the limits of the House and jump up punks like Mr. Letter, NOW is that time. The House has been in an illegal, treasonous search and destroy mode since the day of the election of this President. They have NO right to sealed Grand Jury testimony and they certainly have no right to arrest whoever they want on charges they made up. A disgusting collection of traitors to our Republic.

There is something I'm not understanding here. The DOJ launches an investigation into the Trump campaign over collusion with Russia. The investigation finds nothing of the kind happened. Months later the house impeaches PDT over a phone call having nothing to do with Russia. They conclude their impeachment, recommending two charges having nothing to do with Russia. Now they demand the background records into the failed Russia investigation seeking dirt there, saying that it is part of their impeachment that is finished and has nothing to do with Russia? How does this come off as being anything except a fishing expedition?

Scary times... With Iran about to invade and conquer us, the House Sergeant at Arms going to engage in a shootout with the FBI (and win of course) in the halls of congress and arrest the Attorney General.
All seven people who still watch CNN are on the edge of their seats.
At least we know that Pete Buttbuddy has decided on his/her/its title after Pete wins office. So that's a relief.
Is every day in 2020 going to be April 1st?

Counsel assumes he would win the gun battle. He would not.

Anyone else remember Obama's first two year in office? He refused Republican admittance to any meeting, ever, held by him or his 'peeps.' Anyone remember thousands of pages of bills that had to be passed before it could be read? If the house wants to investigate stuff, start with these two items.

Everyone is playing with fire on this. Unless you are certain of winning, one doesn't file lawsuits because settlement is unlikely and the outcome may be detrimental. One supposes the issue is the "obstruction" of Congress charge, with the object to get a court order that the Executive will resist, thus obstructing...and then claim evidence of the "crime". It's all very stupid, on a par with Harry Ried changing the rules to allow simple majority votes on judge appointments.

#9, we'd loan him Jack Wilson. Captain Bill McDonald and Lone Wolf Gonzales are otherwise occupied. Jack should be plenty.
