When Michael Bloomberg flooded Virginia state legislative contests with his anti-gun groups' cash he got a quid pro quo from victorious Democrats: a near ban of AR-15s and a promise of more anti-gun laws. Now, to make room for all the felons who are predicted to be arrested by cops and the Virginia National Guard, whom the governor has been urged to deploy, Democrats are demanding more money for prison space and law enforcement.
Taking guns and making you pay for it is the ultimate gut punch. Law Enforcement Today reports that a $250,000 increase in taxes would enforce these areas:
Allow the removal of firearms

Hey, Virginians, they want to do away with Robert E. Lee, and now sic the troops on you. Are you going to let them get away with that? Or have you become too sissified?

Am seeing all sorts of indicators that neighboring states' patriots are willing and able to help if it becomes necessary. The communists may have just awakened the sleeping giant.

"Law Enforcement Today reports that a $250,000 increase in taxes "
Is that a tax increase per person? I'm sure the voters realize that the lawless leftists will be using their tax dollars to illegally take away their rights, right?
This is absolutely shocking: "Now, to make room for all the felons {citizens who have a constitutional right to bear arms and who obtained their weapons legally} who are predicted to be arrested by cops and the Virginia National Guard, whom the governor has been urged to deploy, Democrats are demanding more money for prison space and law enforcement."

Hey Virginia, this is what happens when you don't take your elections serious and stay home instead of getting out the vote. Also, who ever is the GOP Virginia representative should be fired for not running republicans against all those democrats for local offices. This is what happens when you don't participate. Sorry, but you Virginians own this one.

As an old saying goes, it’s too late to pray when the devil comes.
Sad to think that this all could have been avoided just by getting off your duffs and going to the polls. I think the country is learning just how fragile our Republic is. It takes a great deal of responsibility to preserve and defend it and many people have become complacent. Democrats are never complacent. They are always pushing forward which means we cannot become apathetic. Two things to remember. Never vote for a democrat and always go cast your vote.
While it is easy to chastise Virginians, what is happening there should be a warning to us all. Democrats are very serious about attacking our Second Amendment rights. All it takes is one opportunity and they will seize it like they are doing in Virginia. If they are successful there, it will spread into every blue state.

Looks like Bloomberg, Styer and Soros are little by little running our country. Using their Billions to turn states Blue and getting their Left Agenda passed in towns and cities will complete the turnover before anyone realizes what they're doing. Republicans had better WAKE UP!

Go ahead Virginia dimocrats, call the National Guard. It will be the modern equivalent of you firing on Fort Sumter, and remember how that turned out for you.

I lived in Virginia for 24 years and loved the state, but moved to very red South Carolina 2 years ago. Looks like hubby and I got out just in time. But our daughter and her family still live there and they own guns.
A lot of Virginia is still very rural and very conservative. I don’t think those areas are going to sit quietly and allow this to happen. Agree with #5.

Does the blackface minstrel dictator want to instigate another Battle of Athens (TN, 1946)?
Like poster #12, I too formerly lived in Northern Virginia for, for 29 years, before moving to NC. We lived in Loudoun County, the wealthiest county in the U.S. I loved living there, but don't miss the traffic. The median home price is now $500,000, and the real estate taxes are 3 times what they are where we now live. I do miss Wegmans, though. But I saw the county change. Northern Virginia controls the entire state. Lots of foreigners (and illegals and gangs) and mosques. (We lived five minutes from a mosque, whose imam was a frequent visitor to the Obama WH.)

I see a Supreme Court case in the making. While the socialists that occupy the counties surrounding D.C. may be all for this, the majority of the residents in the rest of the state are not.

Until this gets to SCOTUS, PDJT should nationalize Virginia's National Guard. The County Sheriffs have already stated they will not enforce this unconstitutional legislation, and local and state police are probably of the same opinion.
Reminds me of the old sixties poster, What if you started a War, and nobody came?

I have two questions re: this issue. 1) did V's governor swear an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution? 2) Can PDJT federalize V's national guard, and charge them to defend the U.S. Constitution?

"Could get ugly?" The militias in Virginia are already forming and openly recruiting. The National Guard will not readily fire upon their neighbors but if some trigger-happy amateurs start something there will be a lot of bloodshed. Virginians are in for a great awakening if they let their democrats loose on the citizens. There is not one Constitutional law in that list. Fairfax County needs to have a state of their own and everybody will be happy.

The use for the estimated $250,000 is very murky. Government can't buy paper clips for under a few mil. When this goes badly, and it will, Northam will have to sell War Bonds to pay for enforcement. Maybe even print his own currency. Like Confederate dollars: it's been done before.

Governor Coonman's master plan is to make possessing an AR 15 or AK 47 a felony. If you refuse to yield it and are convicted of a felony then you can't illegally possess any kind of firearm. Next will be internal combustion engines and anything powered by fossil fuels. Eventually you'll have to live in the woods like a squirrel. First Virginia then all of the USA.

Let me get this straight: The Governor of the State of Virginia, who has been elected by the citizens of the State of Virginia, is going to deploy the National Guard of the State of Virginia, who are citizens that have been armed by State of Virginia, in order to disarm the citizens of the State of Virginia.

I hope if governor blackface tries this, that Trump steps in with some action of his own. The NG has to live among the very neighbors and communities that the governor would be asking them to invade. I hope that the Left considers that backlash as well. I am so thoroughly disgusted with the Left right now. I truly loathe them with all my heart.

FTA: If he does, @GovernorVA would be the first governor to use the National Guard to prevent the exercise of a constitutional right since Orval Faubus called out the Guard in Arkansas to keep black students out of a Little Rock high school.--- Wrong. That was 1957. Ohio Governor Jim Rhodes sent Ohio Army National Guard to Kent State where four were killed and nine injured on May 4, 1970.

I am monitoring this because the state I live in is blue democrat top to bottom. Any success or failure by Mr. Blackface KKK governor might affect the bozo governess of my state. This could become serious. The fuse is lit and there might not be any turning this around. The President could stop the National Guard from being used if he federalized them for possible deployment. The Supreme Court would have to move swiftly on this crazy unconstitional act.

West Va pulled away from Va because of the Civil War. Maybe the area around DC that really wants gun control should become it's own state. Take all the guns away from them and see how that turns out.

If we have to use the National Guard to enforce the law against sanctuary policies, it should be to enforce our immigration laws and protect our borders. That, after all, is why we have a military. So, according to the leftists, they can pass sanctuary laws and shield criminal aliens, but we can't pass sanctuary laws to protect a Constitutional right? They are forcing a showdown, and people are going to have to decide which side they stand on.

ActuallyNo.28 the National Guard is a STATE entity reporting to and under the command of the Governor and his state Adjutant General. They CAN be called up for Federal duty... but until they are , they are at the disposal of the Governor.

There ya go Virginians. Let the left move into Northern Virginia supported by Soros and Blackface and the rapist threaten your rights. They believe they can do anything. The revolution against the left is just beginning and its good we draw out our enemies. They don't believe Virginian's will mind. Time to stand against the rats of Northern Virginia and hold Blackface, the rapist and the legislature in contempt and drive them out. .

The bulk of the Guard is made up of the people he wants to take guns from.
Give the order to fire & see which way their guns turn.

Most of the Guard are going to be on the side of the 2nd Amendment, my bet and would refuse to enforces unconstitutional gun seizures.
They really don't want to start this....they are so stupid.
